  1. Good to see Muller can miss the goal occasionally...http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27918625
  2. Yes price will go up as per any auction - import taxes/fees/shipping etc expect to add about £1.5k - you will also need to add costs of converting the speedo, adding any other UK legal requirements such as fog lights etc. Possibly also undersealing. Still cheaper than here by some way, also each import will come with an assessment sheet, at auction each car is assessed in terms of bodywork and rated (so from write offs up to level 5 which is pretty much new, most people importing aim for 3.5-4.0 as a rating as that means in very good condition with the odd scratch or minor ding).
  3. Torque GT are a good company to ask for advice on importing. I have an import at the moment, as soon as you fire up the car you forget its not registered in the UK. Torque GT also do a direct import so cheaper than buying from them but you have to do some of the leg work yourself - having watched over the import side of it for 3 months whilst looking for my car it really isnt anywhere near as scary as you think and the cars are generally in better condition than UK cars. Worth looking into.
  4. I went down with Colin and Darren a couple of years back, Darren knew a sneaky route into the place which meant not queuing on the main road in - think we sat in about 10 mins of queues then we were in and parked!
  5. I waved at a guy driving a Zed near Rainham roundabout on the A13, I think he just thought I was some loon as I wasnt in a Zed. Just habit! When driving about with Rebecca in the Skyline I still excitedly point out Zeds when I see them.
  6. Ah so you are one of those 'yobbos' that pops through Elm Park making loads of noise then
  7. Bizarrely I got spotted within a month of buying my zed (by a mr doogyrev of all people driving past the owl pub), then when I bought my VX220 someone on that forum spotted me within a week...well heard me first then saw it. Then within a month of getting my skyline I went to my parents place in Elm Park Essex, did some service work on it with him and drove home. Looked on the skyline forum and there it was "White R33 spotted Elm Park" given that there are probably only about 200 white R33s in the UK I thought the odds were that it was me, triumphantly replying to the thread to announce my spotted status and they guy said he liked the black bonnet look...I dont have a black bonnet...I mean, whats the odds that another white R33 drives down the same road as mine on the same day!
  8. Just moon in future, that should elicit a response
  9. I know, when Reus got injured they seemed completely unfazed. They have a tremendous midfield. The fact that they have rocked up with so few strikers shows how they are setting themselves up to play.
  10. Yeah imagine roadsters suffer more, but still the coupe is a rear wheel drive powerful car - not great in the wet or snow, if any appears.
  11. Mexico were good though, as they were in their previous game. I think if they didn't run out of puff they would have had Brazil yesterday. Be interesting to see if Netherlands continue their form today or if they tail off...
  12. Amazing what finance can do for shifting cars on...
  13. I wouldnt agree mate, R32s are more expensive than R33s for instance. I wouldn't be surprised if the original Audi TT becomes a classic at some point. We also don't know what will happen with the range, there could be a 390z? Although the name would be a challenge as it would most likely be a small engined turbo!
  14. Watched Brazil last night, they were pretty poor. I know the commentators where just going on and on about Freds lack of movement up front, but he was shockingly bad. How can someone playing for their country, at home, be so unmotivated?!
  15. Yep summer price increases that you usually see. The only prices we see are what they are stuck up for sale for, what they are actually sold for is another matter. I think you have got some way to go before prices in reality go up, there are still hundreds of them up for sale across the country at any one time. Maybe in about 5-10 years or so you might see an increase in value based on age and rarity?
  16. False imprisonment. I think they just needed a bolt on charge to hold him, MSV are in talks with their legal eagles to see what they can do him for. Looks like he might get the book thrown at him - and too bloody right as well.
  17. I did consider a 2004'ish SL, not as quick 0-60 as a zed but they are not built to be. I think they look fantastic, car looks great roof up or down, stunning interior (once you swap out the wood trim!) perfect for a cruise in the sunshine up an A road. So its 1 second slower to 60 than the Zed, in the grand scheme of things how often do you have to really race to 60, on a motorway slip road? If you like taking off from lights and racing up to 60 you could argue your Zed is the wrong car, get yourself a Scooby do some work on the turbo and it is a second faster than the Zed. In the real world, 1 second on a 0-60 doesnt matter, really?
  18. 'spose I should throw in the old VX220. Bought the 150bhp 'slow one' without the turbo, so thought it would be a good car without being amazing. It was this car that showed me that power isnt everything and that a car can be so fast and give so much feedback if the designers put a little bit of thought into it. Still the best 'driving car' I have driven.
  19. Worse - 55 plate Vauxhall Astra, I thought it would be a good family car, its just really awful in everything it does. Soulless. Better - VW Scirocco 1.4TSi, I didnt think I would be getting much car going for the bottom of the range option, stunning interior and a 1400cc engine that is twin charged putting out 180bhp is pretty good going. Just seemed to ooze class and loved the styling. Better - 05 plate Vauxhall Corsa 1.4TDi, the older shaped ones, four doors, super practical, drove to Newcastle from SW London on about 35 quids worth of diesel. A solid honest car.
  20. What an utter bell-end http://news.sky.com/story/1283238/video-catches-brands-hatch-race-gatecrashers
  21. I mentioned previously that France do look strong, they have come in with no one talking about them but they have a really good side. It will be interesting to see the south american teams play a decent european side to see how much the south american effect is going to play out. Most pundits have written off chances of a european team win but I didnt see argentina do anything that would scare the netherlands so far in the tournament.
  22. I wish Ashley Cole was playing against Italy actually, better defensively than Baines and still has more pace. A half time appearance by Milner would have been a good move, but we will never know. I think we have to attack to defend for the remaining two games, sticking Milner out there will just invite teams which in my opinion are not as good as England onto us offensively, Cahill and Jags are just not up to the task of England sitting back, they make too many mistakes. I think we should take the chance of pushing forwards and retaining possession further up the field. Still cant see a role for Barkley yet though, can't play him left side, and would be totally wrong to remove our best player on the night Sterling and move him out of a position he is so dangerous in to accommodate a player untested at international level. I think its up to Barkley to force the issue of his selection in central midfield.
