  1. Must admit I just joined in on this on page 3 when people were talking willy nilly about slinging in 95 - for a few things on cars, I go with what the manufacturer says and fuel is one of them! Also just a point of note, because you can't find something on google, its doesnt mean it doesnt happen - maybe google to find someone admitting to have sex with a goat in a field and you probably wont turn up much, doesnt mean there are not weirdos out there doing it
  2. Nissan are not mugs, they have some of the best techs in the world no doubt, like most manufacturers. If a manufacturer says use super then I personally would rather than rely on what I can find on the internet to say otherwise. I'm not a fuel technician, and neither are 99% of people on here, so I would rather go with the manufacturer advice on this one.
  3. Pretty sure Supermarket high ron fuel is 'good enough' for the car, as well as BP Ultimate etc etc. Is VPower significantly better fuel? Who knows. Marginally it might be but we really are into tiny differences I would suspect.
  4. If you are using it for a commute, and stuck in traffic, never getting to put your foot down then you have bought the wrong car surely? Especially if you are then shirking on the cost of fuel. Sell the zed, buy a 3 series beemer and be done with it. Never understood why anyone would spend a serious amount of money on a car then when it comes to something so key to its performance and lifespan risk it and save themselves a couple of quid when filling up.
  5. 370 for girls, Mustang for boys?
  6. Gorgeous in grey, although no option to change the wheels?
  7. Coldel will back me up on this and more than likely Ian or anyone who's owned a ARC......... It may easily be beaten on price, but the sound of the ARC is legendary!! Consider yourself 100% backed up
  8. Pretty sure the somewhat higher heat levels with an aftermarket filter along with the less 'funneled' air do mean loss of ponies but hell 2bhp on a 260bhp car...really isnt a biggie when you consider as other said it sounds better and it looks better when you pop open that bonnet than having that hideous bulky black plastic box in there.
  9. Midnight purple - as someone mentioned its an actual Nissan colour and looks stunning.
  10. As above, two very different cars, pluses to both I am sure but its what you want to get out of it other than just power? Rear wheel fun or all wheel grip? Being an ex-owner of a bog standard VX220 in reference to the first response - if you are after raw driving bonkers fun then its not all about numbers, these cars are as close to a track going race car as you can get for that money in terms of handling and performance - lots of supercharged VX220 conversions out there which are brutally fast - every petrol-head should at some point or another own a VX or Elise
  11. Having seen this car up close a number of times can certainly see shes a cracker, lovely car, lovely colour!
  12. Sorry to hear this mate.... My father in law is 71 and had a quadruple heart bypass two years back, in hospital for a week and then off his feet for about two months afterwards - certainly needed help at home from his wife if thats what you needed to hear. If its any consolation, he said he had a new lease of life afterwards, started going to the gym, struck up friendships with other people going through a similar thing and meets with them regularly as friends, said his body hadnt felt that good in years once he recovered from the surgery.
  13. Z4ish front and TVRish back?
  14. My neighbour opposite has a V6 A4 and moved literally three streets away, about 4 minutes walk, and his insurance premium doubled. It is a bit of a farce insurance premiums because they put so much weight on postcode, it only takes a couple of issues with reports of cars being stolen in your postcode to suddenly make the algorithm go mental. Pretty sure insurance premium algorithms were put together in the 80s by a bunch of GCSE students and have been left running to their own devices ever since. I had a 1.1 Polo banger as a first car, insurance was £600 per year annual paid up front, that was back in 1992...
  15. Just a note on day 3, when I went to watch sumo we went for the whole event. The early morning was pretty quiet and the place half full, it doesnt really liven up until the later bouts. The best wrestlers come on at the end, after the last fight its customary for the people watching ringside (who sit on cushions on the floor) throw all the cushions into the ring and cheer. Loads to do at the place itself though, you can walk around and see the little museums, eat sumo food, actually meet the sumo wrestlers as they tend to wander around and mingle with fans as well as see their supermodel stick thin girlfriends!
  16. Worth a go, looks a bit different - as Wasso said though it looks a bit rough (sorry but I guess you invite opinion posting it on here!) As it is literally a microthin layer of material overlaid it will highlight any issues with the surface of the plastic. Usually this is all smoothed back before dipping so its flat and you don't see it like you do above? I am also highly OCD for reference...
  17. Whenever I asked for directions in Tokyo it was very normal behaviour for the people to walk you to the place if it was close by!
  18. Its a good idea, paying normal fares is not cheap. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361.html You only need ordinary fare, green cars are lovely (1st class) but no journey will be more than a few hours.

  20. Fuji is well worth a go if its in season, just got all nostalgic and found some photos... ...and the view from my apartment in the mornings! Hmmmm not jealous of your trip at all - I want to go back!
  21. You can get a tourist pass for the travel, you usually buy it at the airport using your passport as proof of being foreign and it gives you cheap travel. Havent done it for a long time so maybe Will might know more!
  22. Disney Sea is streets ahead of Disney Land, better rides and the evening entertainment where the dragon comes out of the water, well thats incredible. If you have spare time, you can always walk up and down Fuji over two days - watch the sunrise at dawn from the top. Not sure if you can do it in late April though, can't remember if thats out of season. Outside of Tokyo...Nara is a great place to visit for the heritage - both Hiroshima and Nagasaki are worth visiting for the A Bomb site memorials, very emotional. I lived in Yotsuya, about 10 minutes walk from Chiyoda I think its called where the Imperial Palace is, an easy trip to see as it very central. In terms of Pachinko, worth going to Akasaka near Yotsuya, loads of places there along with little alleyways and cool restaurants. Oh and try go to Odaiba in the evening, you can get the tram over the Rainbow bridge and they have a cool shopping complex there, onsen, various electronic manufacturers buildings (more interesting than you would think!).
  23. GT40 looks amazing, better looking car and a step on, looks like the NSX got designed in 2010
