In not so quite man-love style terms, happy birthday Daz

Just bear in mind that it might activate location services which does put a drain on your battery life. You should be able to tailor the amount of access via prefs within the App or via the settings menu on your phone.

Have a good one folks!

I think Paycos looks utterly spot on, perfect consistent gap all around the tyre and arch - but then again its all subjective, I never liked the look of cars slammed down with the tops of the tyres disappearing under the arches.

Teins all the way, less of a drop, but still look good and very good price. Pretty sure Tarmac just stuck up a post for them.

Stubbies from redline styling on here (steve) I would think?

Real carbon fibre is of course the best, because, well, its real. But you pay $$$$ for it. The hydrodipping I think looks pretty good as an option for a fraction of the cost and is a better option than leaving it as tatty and old looking. Piano black is wrong on so many levels for me, just makes the rest of the interior look dated (when its meant to be black) and is overly glossy which looks a bit tacky - it just doesnt sit properly with the matte look of the rest of the interior. Just my opinion though.

Not sure of the business you work in, or the size, but you should be consulting HR as a first port of call. If you do not have a HR team usually there will be a HR call line you can use that the company will outsource that work to. Understand where you are in terms of that respect so you know your actual rights in the situation within your company. I would also then start to work towards a resolution, your boss has thrown down a spectacularly large gauntlet of stupidity (apologies if you get on, I just was utterly dumbfounded when reading your post) in effect saying 'you are going nowhere, never promoted, never moving' which will ultimately be counter productive to their goal to keep you in a role they believe is so important and irreplaceable. On that note, no disrespect to you, but no one is irreplaceable there will always be someone else that can do our jobs if we ever left and companies rarely collapse because one person leaves (maybe in the exception of a CEO type character that is part of the branding of the business). What your boss is saying clearly is nonsense. In short, it is in the best interest of you, your boss and the company you all work for to find a resolution that works for all, if you agree to give longer notice period for instance to allow for recruitment of your replacement and a handover period that would probably land quite well? If you have already tried that and failed, then I suggest another company with a more employee focused policy set is the way to go!

Still more photo skills needed grunders! Google rule of thirds and take it from there

Write a really good ad - provide a you tube link to a video of the car (did this with the VX I sold) - lots of really good clear pictures no arty nonsense and stick it on eBay. Sold my Zed, VX and Skyline all via eBay, Zed took longest to sell at 3 weeks. All sold at very good prices.

04 car with a 36k engine, got to be worth £6k I would have thought (not that i have looked at prices lately) - so given that you paid circa £5k for it in the first place you are probably not as out of pocket as you might think, although you have spent over your budget overall compared to what you thought you would be paying. But now you have a very nice car. Remember to keep a good build thread and evidence of the engine replacement should you ever come to sale time :-)

Well done mate, awesome attrition in sticking with it!

Is it only 1p difference per litre between Shell and Tesco? Thought it was more like 4-5p. Shows how much I pay attention. In any case, I usually stick in BP or Shell or some brand like that and occasionally put in supermarket fuel of the same RON never had any problems with any car I have had. Never saw any difference either when I ran a few tanks of Tesco either. I never put in lower RON fuel though into the cars that the manufacturer says not to either.

When we moved to Paris for a few years it was all sponsored by work, so they paid a company to come over and move everything for us. They packed our entire house, from how it stood, into a truck and disappeared off in about 4 hours flat, never seen anything like it. Everything bubble wrapped, boxed, labelled, placed in order in the back of the truck and so on. Impressive stuff!

Put your foot down as you hit them and get the car on its arse and chin in the air

Loud, proud and shouty! Aggressive styling. Lose the 370 rubbish looking lights! Make a version that looks just as good as a roadster as it does a coupe with the roof up (if possible). Lose a bit of weight, in fact lose a fair bit. OK I am talking aesthetics rather than mechanical but I really didnt like the 370 styling at all - all objective though. Maybe have a straight six...

I am not an expert by any means but that is because the DE doesnt have the sensor to deal with lower grade fuel in a car set up for higher grade at high revs. The later engines do. Although I am not sure what that has to do with the quality of fuel across companies. Just because Shell might theoretically give better bhp than say Tesco I am not sure how that equates to Shell elongating the life of the engine? I use random places for fuel, wherever I happen to be when I need it. Shell is just 30 seconds drive from me so I usually fill up there but would have no qualms with using Tesco, BP etc.

Hey Colin, I wasn't sure if I would be breaking a rule by posting up a link given the cheeky nature of the ad anyway As it happens a couple of weeks ago we had a cash buyer come in and we accepted - paperwork is with the solicitors and we are just awaiting various signatures and of course the hard cash to arrive I didn't want to say close thread 'just in case' I jinx it...!

...why do I get the feeling having missed the programme, that I really have missed nothing at all! Top Gear has properly run its course I think - it needs new presenters or a radical new style.

Hi guys, viewing a 350z tomorrow!

Clutches can be random, depends on previous use. A few still going at 100k some went at 40k. When they go its quite easy to tell as you stick it in 3rd at low speed and put your foot down and the clutch slips with the revs going up but the car not accelerating. Most people change the flywheel as the clutch is out anyway. When I changed my clutch the flywheel was all scored so was glad I just changed it. Have a chat with Tarmac on here re: bodykits, he has various stuff you could source from here or he can safely get you stuff sent from the US - not cheap though. If you go to the relevant section of this forum there is plenty of info on buying, and a definitive (as far as it can be) buyers guide - will leave you a little challenge to hunt that down though
