  1. Love these threads, quite a lot of useful contacts to have I do cast envious eyes across at other peoples jobs especially engineering etc, I ended up as a sales and operations director of market research for a global loyalty company. Prior to that stints in teaching, cleaning cars and spending 4 years also flipping dem burgers at McDonalds to pay for my uni fees back in the 90s
  2. If they caught him they MUST name and shame!
  3. Stick it on driftworks if you havent already Didnt realise you killed it!
  4. Trader every time - they will be of no end of help, whereas ebay could well end up being no end of pain. The likes of Tarmac and CS etc on here have great reputations for a very good reason. If you still have the cat in place emissions should be fine.
  5. When I went in teaching for a short time I was told when I joined that I had to pick a union and join it - non negotiable. For the exact reason above, that you get all your legal expenses covered in the case of any incident. No one was advised to join purely on the premise of sticking up for workers rights, although there was an issue that they all got hot under the collar about at the time around pensions.
  6. ...and its over the weekend - I wonder if this is a reflection that they must know in this instance they would be called up on it by the general public if they did it in the week with a much wider audience hit and having to explain the stupid reason as to why its happening.
  7. Militant trade unions that order a strike regardless of the views of their own members, appeals panels and the law. 299 vs 221 is hardly a sweeping majority and with only 42% turning out - a driver is breathalised and failed it, union says the breathaliser wasnt calibrated for people with diabetes but turns out the guy had a second test which also failed him (which takes into account people with diabetes who can return a false +ve on the test). The union says that LU are peddling misinformation about the case but fail to say what it is and the reason for striking. Really is ridiculous, 'sometimes' you can sympathise with the reasoning when it concerns safety and them standing up to changes but in this case cannot see why they have any grounds to legally call a strike when someone commits gross misconduct, get sacked as LU were well within their rights to do, put the persons appeal through all the processes and independent appeals panel which shows he is still sacked and still they can call a strike...it astonishes me that this is still allowed in modern society. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-31691324 The mind boggles, it really does.
  8. But surely the extra cc's and bhp was? I agree though there isnt enough between the two cars that a lack of driver skill wouldn't negate.
  9. Generally be wary of things called XXXX-style or XXXX-design they are rubbish fitting cheap copies that will cost you more than the cost of the genuine article to fit!
  10. Coldel used to be the resident eBay trawler and finding goodies for us. Haha! Hence the name in my profile!
  11. Cant believe the end of the second video - surely you would cut that out, maybe a dealer that is far too honest if there is such a thing!
  12. Upload pics to photobucket or similar photo hosting site - click on the picture and it will have a web address for the photo, copy paste it into the box that comes up on here when you click the little tree icon and viola.
  13. I guess that proves where you are though, not where your car was?

  15. Although in London traffic RTP is over an hours drive from Staines - drop Sipar69 a PM on here, he recently put his car through a place called Andy's Autobarn in Feltham and mentioned that they did a good job which is much more local.

I also thought it was illegal to have them in the car?
  19. No problem buying privately though, you just have to follow some quite straight forward rules such as seeing the car etc. and most of the time all is well.
  20. Currently dealing with a work colleague in the US called Randy Fox
  21. Happily stuck my 2 year old in the back of my R33 mate which was quicker than my Zed - swerve those MPVs!
