  1. When an Asda delivery van wrote off our Focus despite me contacting them and saying that we had a witness of the incident they denied it saying no vans went down our road at that time. When the same delivery driver had to deliver to the witnesses address and she collected his name and formally identified him they accepted it but then still dragged their heels. After many calls and frustration, I just put a short post up on Twitter hashtagging them and it was all sorted within a week. Not all large companies sound as decent as these guys!
  2. Saw the title and thought oh no the Jag! But still well done plucky Corolla for putting up a fight!
  3. Have to say I read it like JP! No mention of ebay when you said £3500 directly below the Clark web address!
  4. Wedge in a VQ37VHR? Must admit my dream build if I won the lottery would be a 240z with one of those in
  5. But first port of call, get your car sorted. No good getting the employees fired only to still have a broken car sat outside.
  6. Zmanalex/Clarks should be able to sort you out a replacement DE?
  7. Can't bring myself to pay out the extortionate prices for sky sports, even though I am a huge sports fan across many sports it is just too high I think when you look at the annual cost. Anyway, that aside, still plenty of motorsport on terrestrial TV if you look hard enough, which is more interesting to watch than F1 - little Alfie loves the touring cars!
  8. Exactly the above. Before throwing the CGA at people its always worth trying to talk to people face to face in a considered way. For all you know the dealership could just be equally disgusted and act in a very positive way for you. Just keep that anger buried away and stay away from going down the route of ranting threats, it serves no purpose when sorting out business issues, keep cool and stick to the facts.
  9. Number 3 engine missing, engine found on right wing after brief search
  10. I think Steve was referring to anything pre 98? Like with his Corolla. For me, I read the article basically talking about how these days you get all the luxury's for every days drivers such as TC, Heated seats, Power steering, Elec Windows etc. For example, back in the day, I'd imagine a snowy, ice cold day would be a nightmare to start with. You walk out your door and have to scrape the ice off your car, sit in the freezing cold waiting for the windows to demist, ice to melt etc. But now a days, you can literally press two buttons and with in a couple of minutes your sitting in a sauna My old 1995 car has TC, electric windows, power steering and electric folding mirrors even
  11. Thats really odd as Wasso's sounded epic!
  12. Motordyne XYZ y-pipe sounds amazing, Wasso had one with a standard back box and it sounded fantastic.
  13. And a decent mid pipe on the exhaust
  14. bah! He was a selfish nerf herder but turned his back decades of his former life to save Luke in 4 and ensure the destruction of the death star, save Luke again and protect Leia and his friends in 5, lead the fight on the ground in 6 to defeat a legion of the emperors best troops surely worthy of more than an obvious stabbing on a completely unusable bridge in the middle of a planet?
  15. Yes ignore any Clarkson review good or bad, he doesn't review a car, he says something to create entertainment out of it whether it is true or not. As I said, get yourself a reference point, must be a few local to you to view, go have a look and see what you think,
  16. Have been sat in two 90s cars for the last two years and very much agree Interestingly no mention of cost in the article? You can pick up a pretty good nick R33 GTST running a safe 300bhp for example for around £5k, getting a 'new car' (what is the definition of new anyway? 5 years old? 10?) would be almost impossible to get anything near those performance levels, advantage of old cars, more go for your money (so would disagree Brillo, old cars less powerful?)
  17. Hope you had a good one, Skys the limit mate!
  18. Will get better photos in the week when I get the chance
  19. Thanks mate but just bought these to replace some black ones I had on there originally, they chrome sills are very sought after in GT4 circles and these add some desirability and would like to keep chrome.
  20. It is a chrome metal over a plastic panel, best photo I have to hand...
  21. Have bought some used kick plates for the sills on my car, have some small scratches on them, how can I polish them out? Presume some abrasive is required but don't want to bugger them up!
  22. Can read this thread now I put it at about 8/10, I had my ticket booked for about 6 weeks so was very much excited about the movie but was also nervous they would just balls it up. I think its come out very well. The plot holes are obvious but I could pick a dozen in each of the films 4-6 as well - clearly its daft that a stormtrooper can pick up a lightsaber and take on the bad guy like that and even strike him, wounded or not. Think Kylo Ren lacked a bit of nastiness about him, he has murdered many people yet seemed a bit scared of people like the FO general. Han Solo died in the wrong way, understand it had to happen that way to fit the plot, but it all seemed a bit soft, I think it was this that put just that little bit of irk into what didn't make it a 9/10 for me. I also find it odd every time a jedi mucks something up they go into exile, I would call it a bit of a sulk That said, I got tingles up my back when I heard the Millennium Falcon fire up and all those noises you remember from 4-6, it was Star Wars.
