There you go, easy answer
2. Good point, will add one, schoolboy error! ...added

Cars will have different dyno readouts depending on state of tune, there is a dyno thread on the forum if you do a quick search where you can see dozens of them

I have never done track time either, but I would guess you want to keep the car in the best power band at all times in terms of the rev range, I guess if you look at a dyno print out you can probably see the band where you achieve the most power and that is not always on the red line?
5. Is it too early to start debating how to vote on this subject...

Turbos will always give bigger gains for relatively lower costs compared to NA cars, did you not test drive a few before switching over? You would have found if you missed the power delivery of a turbo or not?
7. HICAS system on the GTS-T I had, you can get a Lock Out Bar but it throws up an error light - simply remove the LED to sort To be honest for day to day driving its fine, it just alters the rear wheels direction by a tiny amount (max circa 5 degrees) to counter loss of control.
8. I love the way they make 200 of them (pretty easy shape and design to make, give them a 5p printed out certificate, then charge people silly money - people really are mugs nowadays

Paper time for 0-60 for the roadster is not 5.3 seconds I am pretty sure of that from memory its something closer to 6. In any case as Dan says, unless you were on a perfect piece of tarmac, with favourable wind conditions, with perfect shifting and launch plus the fact your car is now a decade old and could have lost numerous horses it doesn't sound beyond the realms that is what your car would run?
10. R33 GTRs are rear wheel drive with four wheel when needed, they don't have permanent 4WD. My 33 was white, colour really suits it, especially with the iconic rear lights.
11. Well worth a look, I think its good to sometimes remind ourselves from our relatively comfortable lives, what goes on out there in the world through some quite amazing and emotional moments captured on camera. Sorry, not meaning to be bleak on a Friday afternoon, just found this quite thought provoking... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-35605866
12. You are assuming the taxation laws stay as is - the government relies heavily on taxing the motorist, it needs the cash to keep the country on an even keel (although not entering into an argument about labour vs tories here), if everyone switches to EV where does all that lost revenue come from? You can only tax ICE cars so much, and if the numbers dwindle to the point all EV enthusiasts are predicting there will be a multi billion pound blackhole in the UKs finances that needs to be filled, which means switching the taxation to EV or taxing the electorate in other areas. Take banking for example, was it 8-10 years ago a big campaign to stop them charging to use cash points and lots of people rejoicing at the money they saved. Now, 10 years on, the free current account I had 10 years ago with breakdown cover etc now costs me something like £10 a month. You will always be charged, just not always through the same channels.
13. I hope the government is gearing up to deal with the increased requirement for cars to 'plug in' - I am good friends with the MD of the green energy part of a major power supplier in the UK, he fights a daily battle to convince anyone in government to stop burning stuff and start using nature. Its alright going electric, but the power demands have to come from somewhere and at the moment the infrastructure just isnt there
14. On average a Leaf depreciates the same amount of £s in the first year that an average comparable ICE car will in three-four years, thousands of pounds vs eighty quid a week. I do not doubt that in ten years time many western societies will be driving around in small silent cars quietly making their way from A-B, petrolheads will pretty much be dinosaurs using finite levels of fossil fuels for their inefficient cars. Currently though electric cars initial purchase price coupled with big depreciation costs do not make THAT much more worth it over a ICE in my view.
15. If you count from new depreciation into the cost of running the car, its running costs are not so rosey
16. # I know they are generally high tech cars but I didn't realise they could float
17. You also missed out 'upgrading from a Zed to a Celica GT4' ...
18. It is also interesting that people assume everyone has a 'daily' - living in zone 3 in London most people do not have a daily, just a fun car for fun and london transport for every day
19. A Plan were all over me when I had the R33 and were adamant to get my business, Dan is the guy there to talk to. Although somewhat bizarrely when I got the GT4 and rang him they were not interested at all, and made an excuse that 'looking on Google Maps your road looks a bit narrow' which is fair enough, it was, but that didnt stop them insuring a big wide R33 a couple of month prior.
20. You were on the inside lane going over Twickenham bridge, I passed by on the outside as we approached the first roundabout. Looked like some serious paint damage on the boot? PS this was on the weekend just gone!

XL tyre rating

Yes mine had TL written on the description also

XL tyre rating
When I moved from run flats on the R35 I went for XL rating on the MPSSs and the Vredestein Vorti. Both the above non run flats have soft/ flexible walls, so in my instance XL was imperative. Alex.
I have Vred Vorti's in XL trim, excellent tyre for my everyday driving

Scirocco R

I remember mine had the different damper and throttle response settings which were quite cool - so you could switch between sport, normal and economy.

Scirocco R

Used to have a 1.4 (turbo and supercharged!) Scirocco - liked the car, distinctive, nimble etc. Golf though is 4WD though vs FWD of the 'rocco which swings it for me to prefering the Golf.
