There is a whole section devoted to the 370z on the forum - have a browse through that. For early models, oil gallery gaskets are the main problem and need replacing. That and making sure you pull the steering lock fuse as soon as you get one. Your first port of call is probably here

Well I have just started dipping one of the caps in blue...can always just peel it off...but will see what that looks like in about 20 mins!
-
More tinkering today - the wheel centre caps, one especially, are looking a little tired. They are plastidipped a matt black colour. So got the worst offender off and cleaned it up went from this to this I do happen to have some metallic black plastidip so could easily respray them. question is should I? I have the option of chrome coloured centre caps vs black The other out there idea is spraying them a matching blue, as I do also have dark metallic blue plastidip too...

Bloody hell what shop car park is that? Looks a bit agricultural!

I would speak with @ZMANALEX he built a 600bhp+ monster 350z, he knows more about these cars than most. I think I remember seeing someone having a go at ITBs too somewhere. I would say though depends on your budget, NA power builds are notoriously expensive on 350z's and if you are chasing numbers FI is the way to go usually a supercharger build. In terms of breathing, the generally accepted view again if chasing numbers is that the decent drop in panel filter is better than any CAI as the box is so well insulated from the heat under bonnet. You will also want to look at mapping, good page here https://h-dev.co.uk/350z-and-370z-uprev-remapping/

A quick search for RHDJapan brings up a lot of threads containing their stuff, for example someone mentioned here it took 5 days (albeit in more normal times)

Nicely done, you just need red and black reupholstered seats, with red door cards, and you are done

When we switched the platform over I know it took some getting used to but the photo upload (so you can upload photos as well as using URLs) was a massive plus

When you load them in under the message you need to highlight over the pic and click the + sign to add them into the message body

Brilliant watch, when the scammers accidentally stumble on a guy who is an IT expert...and he turns the tables

Love that colour, and good decision on first modification @Ekona will be pleased

It really depends on the car and how many people are buying, an R35 is not really typical of the market or the type of buyer. If there are suddenly a load of pent up potential car buyers suddenly surging the market for Golfs/Focus/Astras etc. when lockdown is eased up the prices will not go down, any good business will price accordingly and if their stock is flying off the forecourts with buyers to spare they know they are selling too cheap. But yes, by all means play the market game, see how far you can hold out for, but don't be surprised if prices don't continue to drop once lockdown eases and people get back into more normal behaviours such as buying cars.
-
Although if demand responds similarly the prices will respond accordingly (assuming supply and demand theory holds!) a flood of people going out there buying cars in the summer will drive prices back up.

The carpet tape was basically as thick as sellotape. And yes from the same seller that sells all this on eBay.
-
I actually ended up using carpet tape I think just in case I got fed up with it, it would be easier to reverse. I think the major bugbear for me is the joins where its stitched is done very poorly and you end up with a large ridge, compared to the work done by hand by a professional the difference in final look and feel is huge. But like I say so is the price
-
Not that we should, but I will, Junction 17 have a pretty poor reputation for after sales service. You could well get a good car, but if there is anything wrong with it you are likely to run into a lot of problems. Plenty of documentation online on many forums about them. If the car is fine and requires no going back to them then it's not a problem, you take your chances though! Most forums advise people to avoid them based on the multiple instances of poor service.
-
I put a centre console cover over the middle of my old VX220, the fit was, okayish. It didnt pull tight over the console and the stitching I remember left a fairly raised bump it wasn't flush. I had my seats in my second VX done by a top top guy last year (he does the seats for Bentley!) and the difference is night and day - but thats also reflected in the price!
-
I would suggest this is made a post in its own right and stickied in the 370z Guide section - great piece of information to have on the subforum there.
-
Welcome - if you can explain what 'getting something more' is and why you ended up at a 370z the guys can help you further on what you are looking for. As a general rule, be prepared to travel, listen to advice from owners and don't jump the gun when buying as plenty of cars up for sale by dealers may well have passed hands through here first and you can get background info not otherwise available.

I can't say I have looked into AF Tripple in depth, aware it has wax thrown into the mixture, but personally I think its worth the extra time adding a dedicated finish product on top to keep your hard work for longer

More tinkering. The gear lever shaft is a scruffy metal affair, so ordered a piece of carbon fibre tube, cut it to shape, had to do a little sanding back of the gear knob base with the dremel so it would fit over the carbon but the outcome looked ok! Also took the time to use some of the Car Chem Leather Cleaner stuff I bought off Wax n Shine last year, cleaned up the gear knob and steering wheel. Came out well actually, little agitator brush and very happy with the result, the wheel feels much smoother and the difference can be felt if not seen

Pop up headlights NSX for me all day, otherwise nice!

...if only I had a driveway and ability to run a hose to it
