  1. Yeah mine came via Tarmac, I know I got someone else to do it but fitted fine they said it was an easy on job?
  2. I got a company to fit mine, I think having two pairs of hands and the car up off the ground makes it a whole lot easier, they didn't cut any of the bumper though?
  3. Couldnt agree more with Dan, until autonomous driving is 100% then people should not rely on it 100% If you cannot drive, then you do not have a car, you use taxi's/public transport. Sounds a hard line but thats what those services are there for. If someone drives into a car and kills the other person then if they are deemed driving dangerously they can be prosecuted, who prosecutes the computer that deliberately drives on into another car?

    GT-Four

It drifted across my table top when Alfie knocked it with a toy car....gasps were heard!
  5. Yes looks like a multitude of failures.

Full billeted and anodized, no stickers to be seen!
  7. I once set up a conference call with a client in New Zealand for 2:30am UK time, forgot about it, phone rang in the middle of the night, lept out of bed when it suddenly dawned on me what was going on, grabbed dressing gown, dashed downstairs and did the call. About 30 seconds into the call I looked down and realised I was sat there bleary eyed, hair all over the shop, half asleep, in my wifes pink dressing gown with flowers embroidered on it. If the board of the company over in New Zealand could have seen me...deal would have been dead in the water immediately!
  8. Yes collision detection is good. As you said, I prefer to drive than be driven, so would never really want this tech unless maybe I was 90 years old and had lost all my vision!
  9. Good to see you are all finally beginning to realise the wonders of the Skyline franchise

Arrived in the post, very pretty
  11. Get her to create an account on here and like that post...otherwise no, it doesn't count
  12. Am I the only one that thinks the number plate should be re-arranged to BJ'5 2NYT
  13. First up think why they are asking the question. I would never arrange a telephone interview unless I knew the applicant had a reasonable chance of having the capability to do the job advertised. So could it be that the interviewer felt you are a strong candidate and wanted to know why you slipped up on simple questions? Personally if the call happened with someone I was interviewing I would pretty much accept its nerves (we all have them) and telephone isn't always the easiest way to communicate and would be looking for re-assurance that actually that was the case. I am second guessing all this by the way. So I would go back and be pretty truthful about the whole thing, phone line was poor at the start and it took a few minutes to get used to the accent - on reflection you should have asked for clarity explaining this at the start of the interview. I haven't worked in the US, but work regularly with our US office, and find the people generally quite down to earth, they also respect other people for their abilities and happily pass praise our way. I think there is a stereotype shouty american view which there are lots of, but would not assume thats how everyone works. Good luck with it, keep it professional, calm, well mannered, thought through and give it your best shot.
  14. Yeah read this today. I don't think it will kill it off, as they argue it saves more lives than the other way around. But it shows that technology is and never will be 100% fail safe and it should never be assumed so. What would have been of more concern for me in this situation is if the other driver had died, that someone who was not using the tech was killed by it, then it becomes manslaughter I would have thought?
  15. Can't be that much to courier? These are nearly a grand new...

    tyre decision

I got the new Vreds and they are very good. As with most things like tyres/brakes and anything else involved with your personal safety on the road go with what you can realistically afford and dont look for cheap alternatives to save a couple of quid.
  17. Pair it with some decats or sports cats and this sounds great, and high quality build as well.
  18. I would say though that the vote is the one and only true way of influencing the system. Whether you agree with it or not doesn't matter, you are guaranteed to affect the system by voting as it counts. Who knows how many protesters voted or not. I remember from uni time plenty of students heading off to political demonstrations having never bothered to vote just to be part of the movement.
  19. OK ease up, you don't want to impact your respective forum 'liking' scores I agree with Chesterfield, there is certainly a strong element of youth (and has been for years) that refuse to engage with voting yet are always on the forefront of protests. I am sure there are many reasons as to why that is but that's what we face - and the up shot is that youth feel they are therefore not represented, a bit of a vicious circle. The most important thing now is to keep an eye on CEO announcements, and also keep ears to the ground for things going on which aren't reported. Plenty of companies already sounding out the US to upscale their companies dollar share of revenue through shifting investment out the UK. Up to the politicians to keep re-assuring and to get things moving as soon as feasibly possible.
  20. Yes the star section is too long, its ten minutes at least each week! I get that there is a commercial angle there as usually they are advertising their latest book or whatever but its too long. I like the rally cross section though.
  21. Boris will not run as leader, for now. I don't think he has the stomach for the next couple of years balancing a now fragile economy and negotiating a deal which will most likely not appease the masses that voted for things which are unlikely now to appear. It's going to be a no win seat if you ask me. So, smart move by our resident parliamentary clown?
  22. My old boss from when I lived in France stuck this up on FB today, shows in the main why Leave won, they got a better turn out from the older age groups who were more likely to vote Leave. I saw all the youngsters out demonstrating in Westminster yesterday, shame more didn't do something simpler and walk around the corner to their voting station and write a cross in a box. Didn't completely go off and check all the numbers but wouldnt be surprised if this is correct data.
  23. Just watched Sundays one, I am really loving it! Brilliant reviews, great cars, feels like the team are starting to gel a bit more.
  24. Because the guys that run the markets are working bloody hard to keep everything afloat, they are implementing lots of fail safes at the moment based on 2008 on keeping the economy working as best it can we shouldnt underestimate that. We were never going to fall into recession immediately, but we are not going to increase the value of the pound as quickly as we lost it either. What will take the strain is when companies like high street grocers who import around half their products find themselves having an extra 5-10% in costs on top because of the exchange rate, which will of course be passed on to you and me. But yes, no hysteria, but don't think by any means we are 'through the worst of it' next year and beyond is going to be a very rough ride.
  25. I guess the issue of immigration as far as I could see was people claiming that they were taking jobs, rather than them claiming. As stats show only something like 5% of immigrants claim out of work benefits, the majority are native based people. So you cannot reasonably argue that its benefits that are the driver as far as I can see? Everyone seemed to be quoting the magic 330,000 net immigration number. It seemed to be more about housing the like that people were concerned with, and concentrations of immigrants i.e. Rochdale. The thing that scares me about the Norway approach is as said before, having to abide by rules you have absolutely no say in. You could argue we had little influence prior to exiting, but now we have none, and are likely to have to abide by them. That doesn't feel very progressive towards the chant of 'taking control' personally?
