Yep, fault present at purchase, within first 30 days right to reject the car or of course ask them to fix it. Three checks are sufficient quality, fit for purpose and not as described. Clearly this isn't fit for purpose, its up to you, if you are happy with the car ask them to fix it if they refuse just reject the car. Don't start putting your hand in your pocket or getting other work done on it, get straight back to the dealer. Out of interest, did you buy it on a credit card?

Apparently two guys have been arrested

Urgh wish it was! Been awake since 3am!

I wouldn’t say shock, it’s well past it’s sell by date in terms of design. The shock for me was more to do with you not pulling apart the poor English in the statement

I think you are right. We had a few loud cars coming in parking close to us which got us in trouble. I do remember an old Alfa GTV come in that made a right racket and that was also attributed to us!

Shame they got funny about it, they did a good Sunday carvery! The space in the car park was immense too.

Tarmac is a trader on here @Tarmac@TarmacSportz and their website has this, is this what you are after? Certainly not knocking them out at nearly three hundred quid. https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/tarmac-sportz-nissan-350z-03-09-oe-spec-front-wheel-bearing.html

Was doing a bit of a spring clean and stumbled across an old back issue, flicked through and realised why I kept it as it had a Club feature on us Many from the article have long since moved on but a few of the old guard still remain - some of you may even be able to name the pub car park bottom left corner of the first page that for a while was a great regular static meet for us south eastern bunch.

This arrived today, looks a very nice bit of kit and half the price of Pro Alloy ones. Company is called Coolexperts and have a great range of options. Could potentially take the fan off the old one and add it to this to have a dual fan option. Lets see what the old fan looks like when it all comes off. Also ordered some other parts today. Mishimoto magnetic sump plug for the oil change - its very pretty Type116Motorsport front towing post and eye - the old ones are exposed and prone to rust/loss of strength Rear towing eye which attaches direct to the undertray on the subframe bolt Once all this is on, service done, will have one very nice car with all the main jobs done

I keep thinking should I get a 300zx, wouldnt want the NA as it would feel too sluggish but working on the TT is a nightmare absolutely no space under the bonnet. Very good looking cars though, a well sorted one is utterly gorgeous.

Ha! They are trimmed, I took the photo before I did it, wanted to make sure it was all in the right place

Gearbox breather mod done - the F23 is a very capable gearbox but the breather nipple [insert childish snigger here] is situated literally 12 inches from the nearside rear tyre, somewhere you definitely dont want oil being expunged onto...common mod on these is to get some tubing, clips, small air filter, and run about 20cms of tubing up from the nipple [insert further childish sniggering here] to the filter and cable tie it all in place. Oil then goes up the pipe and back down again, instead of being sprayed over your gearbox and tyre

Near Future Classics... (Yes another speculation thread!)

Yeah would agree with the view on 90s Japanese stuff, its gone nothing except northward over the last 5-10 years. Even the Celica I had I doubled my money on it in 3 1/2 years. -

The Clios were half that price not so long ago, you missed the boat there. What you need to be looking for are cars that effectively get dragged up in price - for example the R33 Skylines were frowned upon, but as soon as the R34s and R32s went up in price (which was very common knowledge they would) the R33's followed suit, a £5k car 3 or 4 years ago is a £10k one now. Same with the Lotus Elan (the M100s) which were the black sheep of the family, but when Elises shot up in value recently (again very predictable), they dragged the Elan up with them. I think I might have mentioned it before but if you are looking to make money, stick it in gold or something. You are going to have to tax, insure, service, maintain anything you buy which will come out of any appreciation you might see, or add to any depreciation you could also see! -
It's long overdue, to be honest they should have been launching it a couple of years ago. I am just glad to have finally seen something credible, after constant recycling of gossip by car sites just sitting there bored with nothing better to do. If you look back apparently this was a shoo-in for launch at the Tokyo 2018 motor show and designed by an Iranian freelancer, we still don't know for sure its called a 400z From the Nissan video, the front looks nice and moderately aggressive, the rear however looks a bit off to me. Kind of has haunches like a Bentley GT rather than the more muscular arch look of the 350z which I still think is a great looking car. I got excited at the Supra launch having been a Toyota owner for a while, and was ultimately disappointed (mainly down to BMW underpinnings - I do get the whole commercial rationale) - I am slightly more excited about the Z but I still have this dread having finally seen something credible now its going to underwhelm. Oh and can someone also have a word with Nissan and mention oil gasket galleries and steering lock designs

That zed has gone to a whole new level of Halfords modifying! Why is the fuel cap open? Tacky aftermarket rear lights. GTR Nismo, hilarious! As for tyre paint, every example I have seen the white gets dirty after one drive and looks pretty crap. Maybe get some white walls instead

Will be three of us doing the work, so should make it a touch easier! But yes, scheduled in a full day, few beers, some relaxing music...
-
No, I was kicking myself for forgetting to put a set on. Going to change the rad myself with a bit of help in the next few weeks, front clam off job, will probably take all day!

A good angle of the car hoisted up with the undertrays in place you dont often get to see much of the workings of the car

Have you tried a quick detailer over the top to see if it takes it away? Guessing but it’s possibly some residue from the polish, how thickly did you apply? ...as mentioned Ilogikal I am sure will be along shortly
