  1. As BM said, its cold out, damp and wet. You need to wear them in, get them heated up. As for the spigots, the hubs should be cleaned back as BM said... ...hell, what he said up there!
  2. Thats ok, the tread looks odd but its fine, as long as you have them on the right way around. My Vorti's are asymmetrical also and had doubts when I first got them through!
  3. I'm sure many people on here now have fingers crossed mate - best wishes to you both
  4. I have never used these but most tyres have inside/outside written on them, have you checked?
  5. Oh I agree Steve, I don't want the country to go to the dogs either, I live here. But I wont support or get behind Leavers in a way of supporting their idea. I still think the risk is high and haven't changed my mind since, especially with the EU rhetoric and all the monetary promises made by the Leave campaign (unsurprisingly) were false.
  6. ...the UK hasn't Brexited yet so the UK hasn't really experienced anything negative from it - it wont be felt until 2019 at the earliest. Pound has fallen and most retailers are hanging in there without price rises accordingly, but these will come into effect next year once the hedged import prices are expired. I'm still more nervous about brexit impact than trump, at the moment.

  9. Thats another thing that gets my goat somewhat, and not directing this at you personally Steve, but the idea that we all now jump on board and support the good ship Trump. Just like Brexit it was a common Facebook post from Leavers saying 'oh all you remainers should now support the leave effort' but what does that mean exactly? Its not as if I am now going to put in less effort at my workplace in a hope that somehow it will have an effect on the country succeeding during a brexit for instance, I am still going in, working hard, providing for myself and my family. So what exactly does this sort of comment mean? Just because a vote meant a % of the country voted for something I didn't I should just toss all my beliefs aside and go with it. If there is no opposition to government then there is no such thing as a democracy.
  10. Thats a fair shout! Also some other crackers... How about promising to install surveillance of all mosques Shut down parts of the internet he doesnt agree with Bringing back waterboarding Oppose the killing of journalists (although pretty sure that is covered in more general murder laws already...) Cut the budget by 20% but simply negotiating (whatever that means) Get rid of gun-free zones in schools
  11. Maybe we should have a new poll, which policy will Trump have a go at first - something sensible like infrastructure or something mental like blanket bans on people based on race or colour.
  12. Ok maybe the words ruling class were wrong, but the politicians in charge (tories were not voted in twice, only once, prior to that was hung parliament) didn't do enough to heed the warning signs of voters who didn't feel they were on the same journey of success which politicians were announcing on the news everyday. It was in the end a protest vote for "someone else" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It takes years to create legislation and policy, even with reds in control anything daft from trump is likely to face opposition from his own party. Creating some of his ideas on trade are never going to be complete in his term in office, two years from now he is going to be 100% back into campaigning again. I said on the other page I find it scary, so not taking anything lightly, but for instance he cannot just rip up a bilateral agreement with Iran and replace it the following day with something else - it would take years to renegotiate by which time he will be out of office. 14. You will get individuals claim this and that, white people cannot be rappers etc. But its not the view of the whole, nor the majority. To assume it is and therefore its this completely misplaced assumption has driven people to vote for trump I feel it utterly ludicrous if I were to be quite frank. If anything its a complete cover for people to avoid the conversation that starts with 'you voted in someone who has obvious racists ideals and therefore you are associating with them'. Anyway, I think the vote as per brexit is more to do with widening class divides, an elite political class ignoring the cries of those doing badly when the country reports growth and rebelling. There is absolutely no denying some of the things Trump said and promised are based on outdated thinking that isn't political correctness gone mad, its racial profiling on a very simple basis. As I said if he wants to ban muslim's from the US because he sees them all as potential terrorists because the faith of the current opposing forces are of that type, then by that rule all American born people should be kicked out due to the hundreds, if not thousands of terror offences committed in schools and establishments across the US by Americans. The difference between this and brexit is that even if Trump chooses to attempt some of his more mental policies, he has little time to do it (extract from NATO, Iran agreement, etc) so unlikely to happen even if he tried and the democrats might think a bit harder about who they select to represent them next time. Brexit though is here to stay, so lets say I am not losing much sleep over Trump.
  15. There is political correctness gone mad and then there is common bloody sense, some of the stuff he did and said is not political correctness gone mad. I don't gasp when he says 'blanket ban of muslims' because apparently its politically incorrect to label muslims like this, I gasp because of the utter stupidity of the assumption it will in some way solve something. Americans kill more Americans than any other nation on this earth, if we go with the stats he should start by deporting every American in America to make it safe once more.
  16. Nope, read it again, the context of the statement was 'some' are not intelligent enough to genuinely think through some of the campaign promises that were made and come to a conclusion that they were highly unlikely and shouldn't be voting for him on the belief that they will be carried out in reality.
  17. My point way back was that with the reds in play in all the important places the previous blocking of anything Obama tried will now be less prevalent, hence the scary comment. That said, I do wonder based on his winning speech whether all the quite vicious rhetoric he put forward as campaign 'promises' will either be held up by the republicans themselves of whom many have said in the lead up that they do not like Trump or they simply veto any of the ridiculous stuff like wasting time attempting to get Mexico to pay for a wall that American citizens will build. He has two years before he has to start campaigning for his second term, what he can realistically get done in that time is likely to be nowhere near what he promised. The interesting upshot is like the brexit issues, plenty of promises made which are so ridiculous but some people who lacked the IQ to realise it voted regardless based on those promises, how will they feel when none of it comes to pass? Does he focus on doing something constructive for the US like improving employment, infrastructure and energy building which is good for the country but not the anarchist approach millions bought into?
  18. Somewhat ironically a dictatorship is what TM wants to force through Brexit plans without debate in parliament, something which Farage supports. Brexit was all about returning control to the UK parliament (or it was for a minority anyway) yet when that control is required to lawfully put through constitutional change, those that wanted that control wanted to skip it altogether. The scary thing about the US is that the Reds now control everything, whilst Obama was in he still had to contend with congress and the house - Trump doesnt have that problem.
  19. The biggoted git was also a liar, and pretty corrupt also. But agree, it was a case of lesser of two evils
  20. Budget of 10k used or buying a 370 new...one impossible and the other is going with quite a high repayment schedule.
  21. Well it was the Floridonians that started the swing...I imagine they will be talking about how Trump is going to quadruple the military size with no money (despite claims he is not a war monger), clear half a trillion in debt in a few years, implement facist and racist policy. Or they will just grunt and say they wanted to shake it up a bit...consequences, what are those? Anyway I am off to an online trading company to buy shares in Mexican construction companies...
  22. I think there are brands called things like 'infinity' on ebay that replicate japspeed stuff and it could be that those are really poor quality and break, which owners then associate with Japspeed. Dont get me wrong, Japspeed doesnt do premium high end exhausts, but shouldn't dismiss outright without any ownership experience or understanding of the build quality
  23. I think its hit and miss, have heard good and bad. Its also known in gen 6 celica circles that the expensive Blitz nur spec exhausts do snap regularly, throwing good money at stuff doesn't always necessarily mean its bullet proof.
  24. The Japspeed on my Celica has been on there since 2009 and is still immaculate. For the gen 6 Celica group you are much more restricted in whats on offer, HKS, Blitz, Japspeed and thats about your lot. A guy cut open a Japspeed exhaust and found for the money its great value, the bends were good, the interior flow no worse than the more expensive systems. There will always be an association around them, they are loud and low price therefore must be rubbish, however lots of older Celica's running them fine for years. In terms of fitment they almost never fit, but again when he cut one up found that you only had to reduce the mid pipe length by about 3-4 inches and the whole thing fitted perfect.
