That's not my point at all, its more around why should you get so wound up about it, its out of your control, the other person is not doing it deliberately to wind anyone up, you can do nothing apart from overtake when its safe, why get wound up about it? Like I say, not everyone else on the road is as good a driver...

Not sure what you are doing wrong Dan! Here are my accounts on both, side by side in the library section...2-0 in ad count to PB Somewhat ironically I put this image on PB because I don't want junk on my Imgur account and it took ages for the upload page to appear, I had to click off two separate ads to get to the actual upload section, watch an ad whilst it uploaded, then had to wait 10 seconds whilst an ad loaded and slowed down my access to my photo to paste here!

Its less about maths and more about if people are driving legally. 50 is the upper speed limit, it isn't the recommended speed for that road. If someone is driving at 30 its because that's the speed they feel comfortable and safe at. Personally I just patiently sit and wait and take my chance when its safe to. Why let it bother you?

I think a few people on this thread should maybe keep a copy of this close to hand

A few of us are moving to Imgur if you are starting up a new photo area - its faster, less ads, less downtime and unlimited storage. Worth a look before committing to PB.

The ST205 GT4 was on par with the Escort Cosworth of its era in terms of performance, and slightly down on an Evo, but hey most cars worth double the Evo money were also down on it. The ST185 GT4 won three consecutive WRCs until the Evo's came along and murdered everything. Toyotas of that era certainly did 'do' performance and the 2JZ engine in the Supra could be boosted to something like 500bhp without forging, it had phenomenal performance and engineering. The ST205 has the superstrut suspension which makes it incredible in the corners, but also came with 250bhp as standard, the GT86 it appears has gone the handling route like the ST205 did but in modern day terms 200bhp is a missed opportunity, as much as chuckability is fun, you still need to go in a straight line at some point and having a car that looks like a GT86 which doesn't deliver is a big no no in my book. Yep... I had every generation of ST GT4 celica.. I loved them.... but they never was quick... A half decent Subaru would kill one and the Evo was at another level... I worked for Ralliart as a tech in the late 90's and had some great days in some serious weaponry... At the time I had a Starion Turbo with 300ish BHP... Fun times í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚ Sounds cool, Ralliart must have been fun. I would disagree on the Subaru comment, again in the early mid 90s Toyota owned WRC Subaru and Mitsubishi came much later with anything that could compete. Unfortunately Toyota's cheating on the ST205 got them banned so we never saw a competitive match up on the rally stages between the three. The Evo was head and shoulders late 90s, but Subaru and St205 were easily on par of that era having driven both can't say there is much in it in terms of out and out performance. Celica feels much more 'pointy' and more capable exiting corners faster. Subaru just feels a bit more brutish if there is such a thing. All that said, who knows what power these cars were making, paper numbers were 250bhp but my GT4 with just a new stainless exhaust and decat and no other mods put down 281bhp on the dyno so it could well have been a fair bit more than the paper numbers when rolling off the line. Somewhat ironically the Cosworth was not the out and out quickest car of the lot of that era, but now worth much more than most. -
Some people on the road are just not as good drivers as forum members on here I guess

I have never driven the GT86 (and have to say I really have no desire to) - but I just feel like putting 200bhp on it so its 'just about enough' feels like a missed opportunity. -

I can certainly concur with the Skyline attracting it, a whole different level...I felt I was in practically obscurity in the Zed.

But if you're on duty, just not in uniform (undercover or whatever)?? Who knows. I would imagine you cannot even as a plain clothed officer use the badge to influence people who are not breaking the law i.e. walk into a bar flash the badge to get served quicker like you see in Hollywood movies and the like

What do YOU want? Ultimately its your life mate, you are doing them a favour hence the incentive. I also know its much easier to find work if you are not working flat out in a stressful environment, it really does distract from the task in hand of getting to interviews and the like. From here on in, think about what you need, what you want and make a decision that works for you.

See this type of thread on here every few months or so - no, its not a Zed thing, not at all. Its pretty much down to the other drivers being a bit divvy and probably did the same thing to the next performance car they came across 10 minutes down the road. I had a it a few times in my Zed, hardly ever in my VX, almost all the time in the R33 and a few times in the Celica. The R33 was an utter magnet for this sort of thing. As above though in terms of giving it a little bit of beans, I am a proper Miss Daisy behind the wheel but once in the R33 had an Evo come up next to me on a dual carriage way the guy and his girl looked across and gave a thumbs up, we both gunned it for a few seconds - the noise was immense, then he pulled in behind me with a smile and flashed his lights and I gave the appropriate thumbs up out the window. Oh and the video above, is illegal in the UK! I have a mate in the Celica forum who is a copper and he did this once and scared the hell out of the other driver, but it is illegal for off duty policeman to flash the badge in the UK.

I often find when a manager leaves that people like, the first reaction is shock and a fair bit of worrying which is upsetting for the individual, but that quickly moves to people genuinely being chuffed for you and wishing you all the best in the next stage of your life, look forwards to that bit...

I think its just a case of moving on from what traditionally we would think 'career' means - for me a career is my working life end to end, rather than doing a particular job or staying at a particular company. I think companies are waking up to the changing nature of the work place, of people staying for just a couple of years then moving on, they can either embrace it or lock themselves away in the corner of a room somewhere and hope everyone stays at their company for their entire life. Think about how many people are now starting up their own businesses compared to say ten years ago, internet has transformed business, you can run a business without ever leaving your living room in some cases. I think we should never underestimate how important it is to take a chance and do something you enjoy, you typically spend 5-6 days a week for most of your daylight hours doing this - if you hate it, it will grind you down eventually.
