£15 is £15... It's nothing to turn your nose up at. Up here you could get a couple rounds for that, though I guess darn south you'd be lucky to get half a shandy. And for those of us (un)lucky enough to be in the higher tax bracket, that £15 becomes £25... It's not like it's harder to pay annually, if anything it's easier, why throw away money for nothing unless you have some desperate need or better use for that £300? I believe that is correct, but if you've already bought it, does that mean there is no tax on the vehicle now? Or is it currently SORN? Oh I am very astute with my money, and you are right £15 is not to be sniffed at. Although if that would make a big difference to the week I think anyone would be driving the wrong car Point really was that its often easier to spread the cost (how many posts on here about 'oh no its tax month, I am skint' etc) and manage money if your outgoings are consistent each month than having peaks and troughs. But hey as Stephanie said its all fine.

DD monthly is 5% so if your tax is £300 per annum that £15 over the year extra you pay, which is about one seventh of a tank of petrol which is quite frankly something you do not blink an eye at. You mentioned that you specifically wanted to get paid post Christmas before paying tax so presumed that you were not in a situation to comfortably pay before that hence the monthly payment option being mooted.

Tax is monthly DD?

Not sure cash makes a blind bit of difference nowadays

All that bill does is clarify powers that are already in place, media would have you think otherwise (there are two acts being drafted). Somewhat ironically part of the bill is that journalists communications with sources are protected under this bill, but hey they don't mention that in the press its much more fun to create paranoia around us all living in some sort of Enemy of the State scenario. At the moment its all grey about what can and cannot be accessed and you end up with court cases trying to unravel who can do what.

As Wink said its the fact they are data processors and data owners that makes the difference. There are very strict laws in place around data ownership, around who owns it and who processes it. Its also hugely in these companies interests to NOT give up the data to third parties. The only way that could happen is if you as an individual gave express permission for the data to be handed over to third parties when entering into the agreement. A good example was the iPhone CIA case recently where Apple would be (ironically) breaking the law to open up an iPhone to the CIA even in the instance of a terror attack.

Good work mate, but, still showing the war wounds from Scotland on the front -
Got into cars when I got a Scirocco Mk3 as a company car back in 2009, prior to that had a series of Fords etc but wasnt too fussed about them. I had a 9 year break from cars when I worked/lived central london and worked abroad. Scirocco was so much fun, then moved jobs handed it in and decided to spend a few quid on a car, really wanted an S2000 but ended up with this Nissan thing called a 350z... ...after that VX220, R33 Skyline and now in the Celica. Loving the Celica, going to keep it another couple of years at least. Future? Who knows? I do know I like older cars and messing around with them, I like some rare and something that looks a bit different. I could never own a 911 for all its wondrous driving capabilities they are more common than Ford Focuses round here. Would love to get my hands on an RA28 celica and work it up, or a old yank V8.

Love it.

Just be aware with black box premiums, I could be wrong but how it works is that they charge you the full amount, then once the data shows your driving habits fit to the contractual arrangement you are reimbursed to the level stated on the original post. So you could still end up paying normal levels of insurance. Well thats what I read about it a couple of years ago, some companies might work differently.

As you can imagine this has been covered off a fair bit over the years, search box top right corner with 'DE spark' will get you some interesting reading, this was on the first set of results: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113496-copperplatinum-or-iridium/page__hl__spark#entry1690418

Machine polish the panel so that its not got swirls etc, use a torch to properly test to see that the micro-scratches are gone, use it on half the panel and retest with torch. Best way to see how it works. Still find it hard to believe a fifteen quid bottle of stuff has such advanced chemical properties that dirt cannot in no way touch the bodywork when trapped between a microfibre pressed against...but hey Im a cynical type by nature.

I think age tends to count against you with Direct Line though, 21 year old in a V6 does really restrict your options.

Surely no point buying now, it would disappear into a garage until March anyway Mind you, prices slightly lower over winter?

Does it cover the screen? I have on mine at the moment a great rubberised cover with a raised lip around the edge so if you drop the phone the screen (generally) wont make contact with the floor. I got this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iPhone-6S-Case-Caseology-Wavelength-Series-Textured-Pattern-Grip-Cover-Bla-/201689629680 -
Still unconvinced by the whole 'lifting dirt' thing, on all the videos I am watching people push microfibre towels against the car quite aggressively to wipe it and clean off. So no matter what lifting is going on there is always a physical exertion in the other direction back at the car.

I read that also, was thinking normal black or silver, and yes get a cover. I think its mad not to have some sort of protective cover, so easily smashed these things. -
