  1. I saw it, but rather than delete it moved it to the right part of the forum
  2. Various posts across the internet quote 1bhp per year - but hey the internet isn't always right If its has been poorly serviced, ragged, stuck in a bubble in a lock up, wrong fuel, bad oil etc etc will all have an effect on the engine performance over time - the question is unfortunately I think one that drops into this category unless someone has some great insights...
  3. What was the objective of the question? Are you thinking of buying and wanted to know what the car might truly be running in terms of BHP?
  4. If its going through a litre every 750 miles with no oil leak I would be concerned...try rechecking levels again a few times but as Dan said drop the oil out and see what you have.
  5. People have reported a litre going missing every 1000 miles before, you are not far off that. Why did you buy it if it was missing half the oil? Or did you only notice when you got home?

    Nowt wrong with 2l cars
  7. Maybe a good excuse for a naughty weekend away, just the two of you?

    New tyres time.

Which Potenza tyres do you have? There are a few variants which vary in wet grip capability.
  9. Any thief worth their salt I imagine doesn't chance a theft i.e. spot a nice car on a drive, I would think it involves some level of planning to ensure they have the tools for the job. Walking up and down the road and seeing the car going in and out of a garage/garage door open on weekends etc. is all part of it. As above, once in they have the run the of the place to go find car keys, do what they need to do in the car/vandalise it and walk off and no one is any wiser.
  10. Absolutely this. Just because it hasn't happened to you nub doesn't mean its unlikely. When our completely stock Ford Focus was involved in a hit and run by an Asda delivery driver (our car was parked with no one in it at the time) the insurance company sent out a guy who was very helpful assessing the damage, said there and then it was pretty much a Cat D and proceeded to open the boot, look in the cabin, check around the car before compiling his report back. If you don't declare it A. you run the risk of being invalid B. the mods are not covered like for like so you lose the value of them in a claim C. Saying you do it on a public forum is not sensible as companies will google search you
  11. Approved for discussion but pretty sure this has come up a few times already, consensus is hugely overpriced and many other issues around authenticity.
  12. The new wheels will make all the difference, any chance of letting us know what you ordered?!
  13. You need to open Imgur, click each image, you will see on the right hand side a 'Direct Link' copy the link and come back here, click the green square and copy the URL link into the space provided, then it will link the image to the post.

    GT-Four

I agree, mine is much better looking, although it hides it well that Supra has a V8 under the bonnet

    GT-Four

Dropped the Four off today for some work, and look what I ended up parking next to, its bigger brother
  16. Here's the reply I got, a man of few words, well that's that then..NOT INTERESTED. Sorry no photos, it was really light front damage.... He has sent me a bit more info... Sorry no photos, it was really light front damage. Bumper and bonnet. It was repaired to a very high standard by Horsham car paint repairs. Its spot on. It could be Cat D if the bonnet was misaligned by impact etc. but then you would worry the structure of the car is compromised. As above, if you are looking to spend under £5k this might end up being all you are going to get, I cannot see prices dropping any further.
  17. So whats your budget Bandit - you are probably bordering on the record for longest on forum without actually ever buying a Zed
  18. Considering changing your Z Legend status to 'Always getting my coat' on account of your raft of bad jokes
  19. My wife has a 14 year old Renault Megane and pays £30 less for it than my Celica GT-Four. The insurance companies generally throw stuff into a computer and see what comes up, pretty sure its not personal. If you can prove that the email went to the wrong place you could put in a customer complaint that you never had the chance to assess the renewal price, but really you are relying on their goodwill.
