  1. So many factors - if you live in a small village and a couple of cars get stolen you might see prices soar. I moved two roads and saw my insurance increase 10% despite being on a 'safer' road i.e. cul-de-sac, not outside a pub etc. I presume each year these factors take on recent data and it throws out weird stuff.
  2. A nice video to show national debt (although a little out of date now) - also it shows what austerity was all about very simply i.e. emptying the little cup not the big one which is what confuses a lot of people. But its foolish to think the Tories just borrowed lots of money without thought. Like most debts if you don't pay it back, it gets bigger, and we were already well in debt long before the Tories arrived. Additionally if your country is borrowing and cannot pay it back, and a recession hits your biggest industry i.e. services then clearly borrowing is going to increase.
  3. GreaKY? I moved to Adrian Flux this year, smashed the quotes by others whilst matching (and in some cases beating) the level of cover.
  4. I guess going back to the point at the top, as the money ultimately comes from the same pot (ie taxpayer) it seems absurd that unions have driven such unrealistic salaries for jobs that clearly are not justifiable and obtained through crippling the private sector and the economy. Earning £50k to drive a train is disproportionate to the qualifications, experience, skills and capabilities of that role especially when you put it side by side with something such as health care. Clearly the threats unions carry out around striking to drive unrealistic salaries are more impactful in certain industries (nurses cannot strike to the degree tube drivers do which is around 5-6 days a year minimum as the impact would be people dying) which feels fundamentally wrong to me. With regards to the election, I don't think the unions will play as big a role in the slating that goes on from the Tories - there is enough dirt for both sides to end in a zero sum game - I think the Tories will focus on weak leadership of Corbyn (hence the strong and stable line we are already bored of) and Labour will point at lack of of public servants, economy, austerity etc. Its all a bit of a chicken and egg situation anyway, how far do you go back? Yes Tories have spent loads etc since 2010, but they had to to recover the weak economic state left by Labour previously, who had to do this because previous to that the Tories did not...etc etc!
  5. I had a Tamron 70-300 which did take some great pictures but like any budget option the auto focus was very slow and the lens itself a bit clunky. Also worth noting that stability control is a good thing to have if using zoom lenses if you are walking around and do not have a tripod/monopod handy.
  6. To be fair door knockers aren't going to go into depth about macro politics, they should though know your local issues.
  7. When I was a school teacher everyone in the school was on a union for the sole reason to get legal support in the case of any 'accusation' that is levelled at you by a pupil. I know a member on here RTB declined to join a union and sorted his own legal cover. In terms of principles, Unions are spot on, why would you not support workers rights? Unions make the rod for their own back from anyone outside public sector by hurting those people with strikes that on some occasions seem far too self centred and not seeing to be part of the rest of the countries suffering, it seemed 2008 onwards when companies are laying off people, cutting salaries to 0% pay increases, cutting benefits etc that Unions call for strikes to get that x% pay rise, protecting it against yearly impacts etc. which seems out of kilter with the economic environment. Things I cannot quite get my head around are nurses being paid £20k-£35k whilst tube drivers (and no disrespect to them its not the most mentally taxing job in the world) are knocking around the £45k-£55k mark?
  8. Its a one for one vote - unions cannot 'outweigh' the other groups especially the membership. But as they are all of a similar mindset at the moment in terms of union left then its no surprise it goes so strongly that way anyway. Not saying at all that the unions do not have a bigger say than they should.
  9. I think she just heard about having herself face down in Dans pillow Not a snipe, but its not Labour voting them in is it, its the idealistic unions stuck in the past, the party clearly wanted someone else at the helm and its pretty apparent, so do the Labour voters. Trade unions were one of three groups involved in bringing a new leader, the members of the house and individual party members - there had to be support from other areas aside from unions. Just on a topical note, Dianne Abbot put herself forwards I believe for the role too in 2010!
  10. I wouldn't take much notice of that - I think calling out individual laws will get nowhere in a macro argument as much as asking a remainer what laws do they think should be introduced that would benefit the UK. This guy has made a vote and his belief is that he prefers to have laws made here not passed from the EU. Ignoring that something like less than 5% of UK law encompasses EU law and that a lot of it is there to protect the UK and its workers rights is irrelevant I think the bigger headline if we are looking down and seeing some plank ranting on about how this will now mean muslim's cannot come here and make pure UK bred people extinct...now there is a moronic post if ever I have read one, ever in fact Persevere, some people do still try to understand politics!
  11. Yes I thought that also, a pause, then stuff going on, then almost a sigh of relief from her then she oh so confidently rattles off some numbers suddenly that eluded her just minutes before. I guess I spend part of my job justifying spending money on developing things, when I am being quizzed on it I know it inside out otherwise it fails which is why I get quite easily frustrated at people who think they can blag an interview. And yes after 6 goes she should be doing it in her sleep.
  12. Milliband looks like a much better option to vote for than this muppet Corbyn, I'm willing to bet he won't even stand down when they get hammered come June 8 I meant the tablet of goals but valid point, he definitely was a better candidate! I wonder where Labour would be now if they had voted in the correct Milliband in the first place...
  13. To be fair, I come across people who are rubbish at their jobs on a daily basis. You're a sick man But are they shadow home secretary? The lady that serves me my pain au chocolat in Paul in the morning is a bit crap at her job too, but she is not in a position to cost the country billions of pounds. It is nothing short of criminal that someone who is on such a big radio show, whose policy is the headline of the parties campaign, cannot state the absolute basics of what they are proposing i.e. number of police and the cost without bumbling through it guessing numbers left right and centre. Crass incompetence in a job which you cannot afford to be.
  14. Despite public support (which would be expected) I imagine Corbyn is going bananas behind the scenes - what a way to undermine the start of your election campaign!
  15. Certainly drop in panel filters cost half the price for a DE
  16. Its a shocker isn't it. Imagine going to a potential client with that sort of sales pitch, you would be kicked out the room within minutes and told never to come back.
  17. Dianne Abbot is a car crash in any media event she attends, it really is unbelievable someone can be employed and be so bad at their job!
  18. The spin has started over the weekend...both sides pushing an agenda of 'news' to put pressure on the other.

Did you do any post work on the photos? Looks like you added some contrast/colour/ambience which has caused that cloud effect. If you are using an SLR buy a polarising filter sorts out that problem.
  20. I like AdamC3046 - seems to go to 2 or 3 car meets a week and films the cars exiting the meets, loads of great cars, on uk roads, sounding fantastic
