I didnt say that at all, lets be realistic about what the security services deem a terror threat and i am sure that doesnt include isis popping up in a google search The security services know who these people are in most cases with very good reason. But how would you define who is and isn't a threat? Serious question, not being flippant on this. Genuinely curious to know what you'd define as a terror threat. This. This is what I was trying to get across at the top of this page (knowing my luck it'll go onto page 6 now). Obviously we all want these things to stop, but how you differentiate between a real threat and a non. How many others with the same threat level as the Manchester guy exist that will never actually do it? Whats that Tom Cruise film where they get arrested before the crimes take place because of time travel or something. We need that. Minority Report

Would a clear TPU work better?

Some interesting stories around this subject today (although plenty back in 2012 as well) in terms of what it means to properly watch and track an individual. There are something like 3000 'known individuals potentially involved in terror' in the UK. It takes a team of 30 people to put physical surveillance on them for 24 hours. Then you add on the cost of hardware such as vehicles, technology, communications etc. Then you have what has been alluded to in terms of digital monitoring but that is only a small part of tracking potential terror suspects, it still requires manpower and stepping away from the laptop to gather enough evidence to reasonably detain someone. It would actually mean more than doubling the resource of M15, police and counter-terrorism to even consider monitoring all 3000 of these people. It costs tens of thousands of pounds to track one person to gather the evidence and detain them by all accounts.

Don't be daft no one on here is happy this continues. But, given that we have some of the toughest local laws in the world on ability to detain, question and imprison based on probable cause to commit terror, what are these tougher actions we need to take? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You still did jump to a conclusion, never said it was the wrong one So, what is tough? Apart from the ability to incarcerate with no warrant and no evidence and detain at judges discretion for 7 day increments? Send them back (born in Britain)?

Exactly, who you believe, but this is not a religion, it's a simple tech fact. There are quite a few distinguish members here on the forum with serious IT background I'm one of them. One of my friends is a well known black hat, I personally am on the white side more (security), but this guy is good, really good. The fact of the matter is if they want you, they'll get you and it has nothing to do with encryption being difficult to crack (a supercomputer can crack 128 bit encryption in a few weeks if needed, by the way, sometimes sooner, it's a matter of luck). Since computers became more secure, hacking methods became more mechanical. Finding the weak link in the organisation whose password is 'manuforever', or 'iamgod', or the guy who opens emails without checking them, installing a silent keystroke recorder, etc etc. It only takes one guy on the network to screw up and everyone is exposed. The bottom line is this... If you aren't doing anything serious, or aren't a person of note, nobody wants you and you don't really have to worry too much about security beyond making sure you're using malwarebytes, adblock and a decent antivirus. If they want you though, there is nothing whatsoever you can do. That's it, nothing more. If my mate wants into your bank accounts, he'll do it, and you'd have to be following the NSA's best practice book to the absolute letter if you want to stand a chance of protecting yourself from him, and even then... Those who do it for love will always do it better than those who do it for money. So the truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle. Shame they cannot spend some time catching the buggers who set up ransomeware and the like that wipes out A&E wards...or I suspect, they cannot find them at all.

I bought a Stillen front splitter and these side steps, I didnt have any body kit modifications i.e. spats or the like and felt it worked quite nicely and didn't stick out that much compared to the rest of the car?
-
From what I remember when fitting mine there is a fair bit of curve and bend horizontally and vertically, its not going to be a case of buying something flat and just cutting around the edge as far as I remember?

Actually an interesting question. Religion makes us feel like its something very old and has been around forever. In actual fact its relatively new. Bizarrely it may seem but I remember reading an article when debates about brexit and locking our borders was up as to where we all came from, we are all African in descent you know Anyway, something like 200,000 years ago Homosapien evolved which is effectively us, it wasn't until 198,000 years later we invented something called Christianity. It took 195,000 years or there or there about for Hinduism to appear and so on. So relatively modern religions like this are fairly new invention. There are also something like 4000 religions in the world. (all numbers from memory so don't quote me!) Funny what you end up digressing onto in terms of reading when thinking about borders and brexit

Unless the rest of the car is set up and styled to look low and uber aggressive they don't tend to work that well in my opinion...

I think most Youtube vids never really give you a proper feel for exhaust sounds. As for HFCs, on most cars I have owned the general consensus is that the cats are big restrictors on power increases. HFCs offer a nice midway point between cats and decats where you can put it through an MoT but see gains over a cat.

Nice one mate, looking forwards to the car making it to a meet soon

I deliberately make sure my wife is not on my policy...I don't care if it reduces the premium, any reason to prevent her climbing behind the wheel of my P&J

...twice the price he sold it to us for?

Aye he was a lot better than given credit for - certainly brought the 'suave' to the Bond character.

On average counter terrorism make one arrest a day, there are millions of people in the UK 'known to police' due to their criminal records. There is nothing in that article that says the police knew him as a very likely terrorist and you are jumping to conclusions based on a newspaper desperately printing anything that will get itself readership than printing anything meaningful. If we go completely knee jerk here and extend our already very heavy counter-terrorist laws (as I say already some of the toughest in the world) and say ok, here's 200,000 islamic people who we think might commit terror offences because they googled 'how to make a bomb' and go to a mosque that was once frequented by a hate preacher - lets ship em out (where?) based on a guess they might do something. You couldn't give that sort of golden propaganda to IS to recruit and commit more atrocities any easier if you handed it to them on a silver platter. There is no high horse here, its a sad sad day and being the father of a 5 year old boy I cannot even imagine what families are going through. However the response is not to just 'kick em out' whatever that means - it is this sort of response that is the ultimate goal of IS.

Nope as above its a personal thing. Difference is now you have the internet and unlimited information (true or otherwise) telling you the world is terrible. In the last century we had two world wars, atomic detonations over civilian populous, millions in genocide in Africa and southern Europe, the IRA where over the course of 30 years some 700 civilians and something like 650 armed forces personnel were killed - many more not listed. To me it feels like there are many fewer 'lunatics' if you like out there who can have macro effects on the world, I think the world is generally a bit more sensible, and as far as voting - if you do not vote, you do not count.

First thing you should do is stick it on the dyno for a power run (thirty or forty quid) and see what the power output looks like, should be nice and linear. If you can see any flat spots then an uprev (the Nissan version of a personalised remap) will create a better drive for you. Breathing mods will always help in that respect - but I would advise you aim for a better drive as your motivation over bhp increases as you will be slightly disappointed with the latter.

I am worried about hate preachers at no point above did I say I wasn't, and the guy in question spent years behind bars and was deported as soon as the UK negotiated a fair trial in the country he was being deported to, I am not sure what more could have been done by government apart from getting their paperwork in order and losing a couple of years in terms of the deportation date. It wasn't the EU blocking deportation it was the European Court of Human Rights which is independent of the EU. Unfortunately so much of cases like this are misreported by the press which leads to the views expressed by Olly (and thats not your fault either) Just 'getting rid' is not legitimate. If we act in an irrational way ignoring international law that makes us as bad as them. In fact it plays straight into the hands of these people who then hold the UK up as anti-islamic and an enemy of the religion. We have to do it right, and as said we have some of the toughest laws in the world on this.
-
Completely different scenarios though - Abu Hamza couldnt be deported not because of our deportation laws but because he would in effect be sent to a country that would likely run a false trial and lead to execution. That is against human rights (putting aside what a hateful person he was) and what was restricting the UKs pursuit of a deportation for so long along with the mistakes made by our then Home Secretary a certain TM. He spent a long time in prison whilst that process was going through the motions. The anti-terrorism act was copied by both the US and Australia and has been criticised for being too draconian by many areas.

I would be surprised if it was a fueling problem, BP Ultimate is absolutely fine with your Zed.

My personal thoughts Olly are that you shouldn't not vote for a political party due to these sorts of acts. Unfortunately the reality of the world as we know it is that as much is spent on intelligence gathering and implementation, it's simply impossible to stop some of these acts of murder and has nothing to do with inaction due to human rights, in fact the law in the UK allows for pre-charge detention which can be extended based on judges approval. All this is relatively new law passed by governments implementing change in the last decade as a response to the growing new threat of home-grown terrorism. But I am with you on a humanitarian point, that I just despair at the human race's constant need to wipe ourselves out in the name of gain - whether its political, financial or otherwise.
