Hmmmm.. i didnt know that. I wrote off a motorbike once after it bounced off a crash barrier and destroyed some fencing. I was fine, and noone else involved so left the scene to get a car & trailer to trailer the bike home. I didnt report it to anyone. Whilst I was off getting a trailer, the Police found the smashed up bike on the grass verge, traced me via the bikes reg number and after spending quite a bit of time contacting local hospitals to see if any injured bikers had turned up, they popped around my house to visit me - by which time id already cleared the bike from the scene. The police werent concerned at all about the incident or me not reporting it, as noone else was involved - they were just amazed I wasnt injured. However they did say the council might want me to pay for the damage to crash barrier & fence. But, I never did actually ever heard anything more from the council and so never paid for any of the repairs at all.

Wow, the size of that rear wing on that car im surprised the car didnt fly off and into space. On a serious side though, my vote is to just either scrap the car or sell it on yourself as it is. As others have said if you go through the insurance you`ll never be able to afford even a fiat 500 again in the future. If the car was worth more undamaged, then id re-consider, but as it is, when you weigh up the cost of what you`d get for scrapping it and selling the bits off, compared to the increase in insurance if you had them repair it then its a no brainer. My missus ran into the back of someone in her 206 Gti a few years back and the insurance went up by so much she was unable to insure the car again and so had to sell it and buy a family diesel car - and even that cost more to insure than her 206 Gti cost the previous year.

Not sure. Im using tapatalk 2 on android, and tapatalk 4 on android is different. Id have assumed that both the iOS & Android version would be aligned.
-
Mine did this when the front tyres were getting near their limit. I was amazed at the difference new tyres made on it. Defo check the alignment though - the fact you mention the steering wheel seems to no longer be in the right position points towards something having changes in the allignment - or a bump with a kerb has knocked it out.

I went from my zed to a 123d Coupe. 0-60 in a whisker over 6 seconds as standard which is staggering for a stock 2 litre diesel car. One of the car magazines road tested the 123d against the E30 M3 and said there was absolutely nothing in it performance or handling wise. On the road, I find it actually handles better than my zed, and im getting over 50mpg on my daily commute. Can easily be remapped up from its stock 204bhp to 270bhp and mega amounts of torque for just a few hundred quid which makes the performance even more incredible. Its slightly out of your price range, as your looking at £20k upwards, but you can probably get the earlier 123d hatch versions for a lot less. A more in your price range option is the 120d which also is a great car. 170bhp (if i remember rightly) as stock, and can easily remap to over 200bhp without causing any problems. In fact bmw even did a "performance pack" as an option on them where they fitted a bigger intercooler & remapped it themselves to about 200bhp at the dealership if you wanted. 120d`s are load more common than 123d`s and so much more to choose from and cheaper prices. Not to mention road tax costs virtually nothing on them. Outside of that the Golf GTD is also worth considering.

It says it has decats. Id hope they include the cats in the sale, else when your MOT is due it will fail unless they are swapped back on for the MOT.

Welcome! If your going to go for the higher tax cars, id go for a 313 to make it worth while.

The Jukes now at 31,000 miles now and not much else to report really. No more problems, only that ive noticed the interior panels seem to mark easily. The alloys are looking a bit manky now as the only time they get cleaned is when the missus takes it to the hand car wash. MPG has actually increased over the last 6 months. Now we seem to be averaging about 53mpg which is pretty good compared to the 48mpg it initially was doing. Must be now that the engine has run in nicely. I drove 6 hours in it on Saturday down to Cornwell nearly & back and only things which bugged me was the wifes choice of music and the lack of power compared to my 123d. There were quite a few frustrating moments on the back roads where I ended up getting stuck behind slower cars as the Juke just didnt have the power to overtake in the gaps which were available. Tyres still have loads of tread left on them, so its looking like we`ll probably get a good 40->45k miles out of them. Also another thing, the sat nav informed us the other week that Nissan has released an update for it. How did it know?!

They drop in value at the same rate as the coupe as not everyone wants a roadster. But, normally looking at the forsale prices, you tend to normally pay more than a coupe for a roadster. When I bought mine, it was about 2 grand more than a similar year/spec coupe. The reviews & tests I read showed that the roadster handled just as well as the coupe and put in exactly the same lap times. It has a lot of extra strengthing & supports underneath to keep the car rigid which improves the handling. Downside of this is that the Roadster is a bit heavier than the coupe, but in actual fact, on the road, last time I checked the figures, the roadster was only something like 0.3 seconds slower on the 0-60 or something. Once rolling, very little difference in it at all. One factor not mentioned so far, is that the insurance is usually higher for the roadster.

Im 6ft and had no problems in my roadster. In winter you could put the roof down, have side windows up and with the heater on you`d be nice and toasty without any cold drafts. On the roadster, there is a common problem with the metal support bar goes over the drivers head - theres a thin piece of metal which folds around this which can get bent back as the roof operates and puts strain on this part of the roof. Apart from that, i had no problems, apart from endless amounts of complete strangers complimenting me on the car and how rare they are. Only downside could be the reduced amount of boot space, as the roadster boot is quite small.

does anyone know a good dealer to purchase a 350z from?
rabbitstew replied to RDON's topic in 350Z Modifications
Thats how I was, but when I came to buy a 313 zed, they were so rare, only 2 were for sale within 100 miles of my house and both of those were at dealers so I didnt have much choice! Things may have changed now and so the OP may find a few more available 2nd hand. Id also look at Nissan Approved Used Cars, you may find one there. -
Why a Ford is more exclusive than Porsche, Lambo et al

I do a lot of shooting and those 'Great Wall' pickups are getting amazing reviews from farmers and shooting people. Only 15k brand new too. -

Id personally tell them where to go and get something like an L200 instead. 15months wait for a car is taking the mick. -
They should fit fine. I fitted an aftermarket exhaust off a non-HR model to my HR model. However, if i remember the Nissan spec sheers from the HR cars, Nissan actually tuned the exhaust to improve it, so the HR exhausts were actually better than the older ones and matched more to the HR engine.

I'm an idiot. I used a scourer to get rid of bird poo....

Could have been worse, you could have used a wire brush! Really hope you get it sorted out. Ive done something similar in the past and you only do it the once!!!! -
Which is exactly what I found. I had a new 370z for 2 or 3 days from Nissan whilst my 350z HR was in for some work and in all honestly I didnt like it at all. I did a mini review on it on this forum at the time, so it might be worth while digging it out to see how I felt the 370z compared to the HR model. In summary, the physical looks of the car looked too harsh for me, the 370z looked longer and narrower - whilst in actual fact the 370z is wider and shorter! The performance, i felt my 350z actually felt quicker and handled better. Believe me I gave the 370z a lot of stick on the back roads but still felt my 350 was revvier and quicker. From what I understand the engine in the 370z is pretty much identical to the HR engine but 3.7 rather than 3.5. So, very little in it compared to the older DE & revup engines. The only bit I did like about the 370z was the interior. It was loads better than the HR. It felt a lot more modern and was a complete overhaul. It was very "black" though everywhere, whereas the HR has bits of alloy trim which I do like. I also liked the 370z`s sat nav over the 350z HR`s OEM sat nav system - it had speed camera alerts & the one I drove had the Nissan Connect pack so you could stream music etc, which Nissan didnt do on the 350z. All in all, I felt it really wasnt worth the extra cash over my HR at the time.

Woah. That's a bargain!!!!

It sucks when this sort of thing happens, but I usually find things always seem to all happen at once! A few years back, my girlfriend left me, I got made redundant from my job, my icelandic bank went bust taking all my life savings (did get them back in the end) and my car broke down - all within the space of 2 weeks!!!!!! argh!
-
With brown being the new black for car colours, that plate could be quite popular.

Welcome!!! Reversing cam does make it easier as they do have a big bum, mine didnt have one, but after a while you kind of get used to how far behind you that rear bumper is.

Congratulations! Another dad-to-be here, mines due in October. So, ive been spending more time researching prams, carrycots, car seats etc.. than researching FI systems and exhausts. Luckily my missus has a "sensible" car, so I dont have to off-load my 2 door coupe just yet!

They are quite rare compared to the normal zed`s, so its just a question of keeping your eyes open. You list all the main places I looked when I was looking. I managed to get mine from a Nissan Dealer as an approved used car - but I saw the advert on Autotrader initially. Its also worth noting that a lot of dealers mis describe zeds, and you can see 2007 cars listed as 313 models when they arnt. A lot of its to do with the "Glasses Guide" (Car dealers pricing bible) not seemingly knowing about the 313 model. Easy way to check is to see if the cars got the bonnet bulge, and if you look under the bonnet you should be able to clearly see the 2 air intake & air filter boxes - one each side at the front.

Probably been too hot to put roof down this weekend!

Spotted this morning at about 10am leaving St Neots, Grey 370z Roadster, roof down. **61 AFX. I followed it from St Neots to Cambourne on the A428.
