I thought she would get what a judge classed as reasonable. So if she paid for half the house she could get half the house. Not she would get half just for being married and not having contributed anything. At least that's what seems to happen when you see famous people splitting up.

Man i always wanted one of them. But for as long as I can remember they were always 14k upwards so a bit out of my price range.

Same here. The only thing my wife pays for is food occasionally if she pops into the shops. At least this way if anything happens, i should be able to keep the house. That spy app sounds great. All these people saying about "trust" well, people change and you may trust them now, but in the future you may not. I was dating a girl once and she ran off with her ex. After a few weeks she came begging me back saying it was the biggest mistake of her life, she loved me more than anything, wish she could turn back time etc. etc. After a few months I took her back and all was happy. I trusted her & she trusted me. We had a great time together, holidays, bbq`s, loads of mutual friends. Her family & friends all loved me and thought I was best thing since sliced bread. Happy days. However, after 18 months or so, I started getting suspicious. Little things like her phone was suddenly always on silent etc..She no longer put out any more, always "got headache" or "tired" etc... so I knew something was going on. I asked her, she said nothing was. If you have been cheated on once, you get a kind of spider sense. In the end after several weeks I checked her phone. Took me ages to decide whether to do it or not as I still kind of trusted her. I found out she had deleted all her text & calls which was a bit of strange thing for her to normally do. What she didnt know is her phone also kept a separate log of all calls/txts made & received. So, I could then clearly see she had been sending 400 txts a month to her ex, phoning him up 4 or 5 times a day. So, once I had the evidence I approached the subject again and she admitted it. So, she moved out, having not paid a penny towards living in my house for 18 months. She`d saved a fortune so went on a nice long holiday, bought a new car & moved in with her ex. So in that situation, that app could have been great! It was only lucky that her phone kept a separate log that saved the day for me!

The thing with bodybuilding is that you need to consume more calories & protein for your body to repair and build muscles. They generally say something like 1.5->2g of protein per 1lb of body weight - give or take. So if you weigh say 180lb thats upto 360g of protein. Your body can only physically process about 40g of protein in one go, So bodybuilders tend to rather than have 3 meals a day, split them up into smaller meals and more of them. So may have 7 or 8 "meals" a day. So, rather than have to sit there and prepare a meal every 3 hours, thats where protein shakes come in. Convenience. 1g of Protein is 4 calories, so I used to have maybe 40g of protein in my shake which is only 160 calories. If I felt like i needed to replace some energy or wanted more calories, id just add some maltodextren powder to that which is pure carbs. Handy after workouts to give me quick recovery. Back in the day the logic was to increase calories & protein by big amounts, so your`d gain muscle + some fat. That became known as bulking. For an example, google image Lee Priest. He`s a big name bodybuilder, been around years. You can see pix of him there fat as anything when he`s bulking although he does take it to extreme. After a while of bulking, you have put on muscle & fat, so you then want to get rid of the fat, whilst trying to maintain as much muscle as possible. Its hard, as if you are on a low calorie diet to drop the fat, you normally will loose some muscle as well. Hence a lot of people do use steroids to try and maintain that muscle whilst loosing the fat. These days its not "fashionable" to bulk up as most people who workout now want that 6 pack all year around, so they tend not to increase the calories as much when "bulking" and the bulk cycle isnt really a bulk one now. Theres arguments that you can or cant put on as much muscle as if you bulked properly etc. etc. I think this sums it up for me (except the cracking one off bit). I used to workout extremely hard twice a day, 4 days a week, plus run 5 miles 3 times a week etc. etc. Id spent nearly every bit of my spare time either working out, cooking chicken / tuna / rice or eating it. Id eat 8 times a day, have a massive lunchbox (fnar) id take into work full of meals. Id factor in meeting friends etc around workouts so I didnt "loose out on training day". Even on holiday id have to hit the gym whilst I was away. Sure, i got pretty big and had good definition. It was quite funny as everywhere I went, people would end up turning the conversation around to working out and asking me my advice as they could clearly see I was in good shape. Mates would comment on my size. I remember one BBQ when one mate asked me "Do you still work out" and another mate spurted his beer out laughing and said "what a stupid question, look at the size of him, he`s huge, of course he`s still working out". But I all the gf`s I had moaned that I was too big and they didnt like muscular men (in which case why arnt male strippers all fat lorry driver looking people?), and I realised that I was spending nearly all my time working out, cooking or eating!. So I stopped working out. Now my gf is happy and i spend most of my spare time sitting on the sofa with her drinking beer, eating pies & watching Glee. Unfortunately it does have a psychological effect on you when you know you used to look good and now whilst she says I still look good, i look down and now have a belly instead of a 6 pack and whilst i weigh the same as i did before, my arms and chest are smaller now than when I was 20 years old. (im 40 now). So you then end up getting all depressed about it and you stop wearing t-shirts as you are embarrassed at how small your arms are, and you cant wait for winter so you can hide under jumpers etc.. I might have to hit the gym tonight after reading this thread.....

Wrong time of year to buy a convertible. When I bought mine I kept an eye on the prices for several years and they increase over the summer months. I forgot what percentage I worked it out as now, but it was something like 10->15% higher for a similar spec car. There was a lot of debate on here at the time that a lot of people thought they didnt, but if you google it, its a well known industry trend - similar to 4x4 prices increasing in winter in certain areas etc... In general i found dealers were willing to offer precisely zero discount when I was haggling. Most I got was 6 months road tax!

Cold air conditioning seats? Is that a 370 only thing or have I just not found that yet? 350z only had vented seats - sort of a nice fishnet mesh middle section to the leather seats, to increase air flow & keep you cool.

I dont think the sat nav screen actually has video in on the back so you wouldnt be able to link a camera output to it.

It also encourages water retention so you soon start looking bigger. Used Myprotein loads and they have always given good service and their prices were good. For protein powder itself i used to buy big sacks of the stuff in bulk. Like 25kg sacks etc.. always worked out cheaper. I used to get them from food suppliers who sell the stuff to chocolate makers and the like. I always went for the cheapest 80% protien stuff. Forget about flavoured stuff, you dont spend hours sipping it and enjoying it, i usually just down it. If you are the delicate type you can always add some milkshake powder to it to give it a bit of flavour.

I had a custom built workshop at my old house. 25ft square if i remember rightly. Could fit 3 cars in there easily and still get around them to work on them. Had it all kitted out with electrics, 3hp air compressor, all the gear. Was planning on fitting a hydrollic lift, but then we ended up moving to another house, so now I only have a 18ft square "double" garage. Can just about squeeze one car in, plus my 3 motorbikes & gym equipment. First thing I usually do is re-wire it all, putting lots of sockets everywhere im likely to need them - trickle charges, compressors, bench tools etc.. I fit a new consumer unit and lots of lighting. I paint the walls next - usually just use cheapie emulsion. I tend to go for magnolia as it makes the place bright, but feel warmer than just white. I also give the floors a few coats of polyurethane floor paint - toolstation sell it cheap for massive drums. All keeps the place dust free and easier to clean.

Convertibles are much more expensive in France apparently. My mate recently sold his Astra Convertible to an ex pat living in France. My mate was skeptical initially but when the guy turned up with cash in his hand and agreed a price he was persuaded. The guy explained that for an identical Astra but LHD in France he`d have to pay nearly double the price. They did a deal, the buyer drove the car back to France, then re-registered it there. Once he was back in France, he even sent the old tax disc back to my friend so he could claim back his road tax. Everything went nice & smoothly and everyone was happy.

The 313 is a totally different car to the early 276bhp models. So it would be quite an upgrade, with the additional bonus that if the OP wanted to do any major mods in the future like supercharging or turbo`s then the 313HR engine is the best one to have. Really I think it will come down to personal preference and really id recommend spending some time driving both the 313 & the 370. For me, I had a 370z with paddle shift for 3 days from Nissan and just didnt like it. Compared to my 313, it felt slower, less responsive and wasnt as enjoyable to drive (for me) as my 313 was. I also personally preferred the looks of the 313 compared to the 370. Again, its all down to personal preference and other people I know certainly prefer the 370, although most people i know have gone from the old zed`s to a 370z rather than 313 to a 370.

Alex's roadster could go not too bad Quick question, every roadster I look at never have steering wheel control on the left hand side, can't remember now, is that the bluetooth handfree controls? Can you not get BT on a roadster? Roadster handles just as good as the coupe & there is very little between them on performance, so the extra weight isnt really a factor in deciding. Mine had controls both sides of the steering wheel. Cruise one side, and remote radio controls the other. However, BT wasnt an option on a roadster.

Definitely used to enjoy my commute into work a lot better in the zed. When i hit a traffic jam, id stick the roof down, pull off and take the back roads home. Longer route but much more fun!

Once Nissan have sorted the problem. Why don't you make some rubber channeling to keep water out? I may have to. I`ll investigate a bit more at the weekend and see what we can do. I have seen people glue tuppawear containers over the strut tops to keep water out!

Welcome! Yellow GT4`s look wicked.

I had the same choice to make when I bought my 350z, and the roadster at the time was an extra couple of grand over the same year coupe. They were also a lot rarer. I went for the newer 313 model and there was only something like 250 of them in the UK and only ever 1 or 2 appearing for sale on Autotrader. So, after some consideration, I went for the roadster. It does weigh a fraction more than the coupe, but around a track the reviews / road tests I read said that handling is identical as the extra weight is low & strengthens the chasis over the coupe. 0-60 performance was only something like 0.4 seconds slower also, so hardly anything. I found the roadster to be great fun and I had the roof down nearly day unless it was raining. I remember driving home from work when it was frosty with the roof down many nights. It was great fun. The noise with the roof up was fine, certainly nothing to worry about, until I fitted a K1 exhaust then it was incrediblely loud. over 100db inside the cabin from the exhaust alone. The roadster does have a smaller boot, but you have the massive compartment where the roof folds down into. You can use that for storage too and its amazing how much you can fit in there. Golf clubs do fit in the boot fine, as someone else said theres a sticker on the inside of the boot lid with a diagram showing you how. So, at the end of the day, its personal choice. Some dont like the looks of the roadster, but personally with the roof down I thought it looked pretty good. Sure, some of my mates started up with the "does it come with hair dryer & scissors" jokes, but when they drove things like Vauxhall Vectra Diesels it was more a case of jealousy than anything. Another thing to consider is the insurance. I had 20 years ncb and was still stung for nearly a grand for insurance on my 313 roadster. Compared to quotes I was getting of around £500 for a M3 or £600 for a Boxster S. So, you may find the roadster will cost you more to insure than a coupe. Problem wise, the hood can have problems. Nissan recommend it not be used when its cold weather as it puts a strain on the motors. One of the motors can get weak which stops the hood folding fully. The other 2 things are there are big elastic bands above your head which add tension on the roof when it folds back. These can also get weak and stop the roof working correctly. Finally I noticed that the metal support beam above your head has a piece of metal which folds around it and supports the roof. With use, this metal can peel back. So, they are things to look out for. I treated my hood every 6 months with special hood sealant & conditioner and never once had any problems with leaks or tears.

May have to bend the hangers a bit with the aid of a hammer or bar. Looks like the back box is twisted slightly.

Dont know if anyone else on here has a juke, but whats the top of your suspension struts look like? Ive just opened the bonnet on my wifes car for the first time in a few months and the top of the struts are totally rusty. I dont mean like a little bit of surface rust, these look like they have been left out in a wet field for 30 years. Ive never seen anything like it, even on ancient old barn find cars ive had. God knows how anyone would ever manage to undo the top nuts on them. The cars only 18 months old and done 30k miles. Reminds me a bit of how rusty my 350z exhaust was after just 20k miles. Do Nissan use mega rubbish metals or something? If i remember I`ll get a picture and post it up to show you all what i mean! EDIT: Just googled and apparently its a common Juke problem. A design fault means water just pours straight onto the top of the struts and they sit there in water until the car drys out.

Ive seen a couple of cars with rear seats and the general consensus is that its possibly okay for children or people with no arms & legs.

I replaced the passengers side rear on my 350z at 23k miles from new. Easy to check - if you look at the shock you can usually see if its leaking oil and the suspension will feel soft & bouncy. Basically you have just 1 shock doing the work of 2! Replacing it was a peace of cake, nice easy job. Normally if you replace with new its recommended you replace the pair rather than just the leaking one. I bought a low mileage one from Alex, so figured id be okay replacing the one and I was.
