I use a pair of WAHL hair croppers. Something like £6.99 from argos. Has an adjustable head so you can do various lengths if you so please, plus loads of plastic attachments. I just chuck the attachments in the bin and do number 0 all over my head & beard twice a week. Nice & easy and give`s you that 2 day growth (or skin head thug depending upon who you ask) kinda look. Ive tried various cordless "beard" trimmers in the past and none of them seem any good and just seem to pull at hair rather than trim it.

Dog. But unfortunately ive got 2 cats lumbered on me from my missus. They drive me dispair as they are so clever and constantly wind me up until i get to the point i want to throttle them. Then they laugh at me and run off.

Price seems about right to me. Besides servicing, id check on things like plugs & break fluid which are not included as part of the normal P1 , P3, P1, P2 services, but should be done on age/mileage. Also on a roadster check the hood works smoothly and properly particularly at the bit where the boot opens up and the hood starts to fold in - it can stick at this point sometimes on some cars. Also look up above your head as you sit in the car at the metal cross beam. Its a known issue that where the hood is attached to this beam the metal wraps around the cross member, and starts to peel back under normal use. Where the hood folds near the rear window it can also split. The hood should be a canvas type material to the touch, if its not it may have been replaced at some point. Tyres will sting you £650 upwards a set, so make sure they have decent tread on them and are a matching set of 4. If any need replacing then dealers will stick the cheapest nastiest tyres on they can so you end up with an odd set. Brake pads also arnt cheap, so see if they look okay. In general, HPI check + get MOT / v5 details and check online at the DVLA website where you can see all previous MOT`s and mileage to make sure they add up - also it shows any advisaries which give you points to check to see if they have been replaced or need doing in the future.

Problem with leaving a day between coats is that if you park outside like I do, then your car will more than likely get covered in dust and crap over night, which i wouldnt want to polish / wax into the car. I tend to bung one coat of wax on, then go off for a cuppa or a sarnie, then come back and put next coat on. By then im usually sick to death of cleaning as i would have washed, dried, clayed, polished, then done 2 coats of wax. I may have even hoovered the interior & cleaned / treated the leather as well.

In my case it was whatever bolt i had lying in the garage after the original sheered straight off when I tried to undo them. The bolts under the car seem to get rusty beyond all belief.

sunset orange - Red on V5 log book . Urgent help needed!
rabbitstew replied to Nero_slk's topic in 350Z General
With regards to the colours, you can simply change this by filling in the colour change part on the V5 logbook and send it off. If the new owner is worried that it says red and would prefer it to say orange, he can just change it when the logbook is sent off. Any colour changes are recorded, and future HPI checks will say "colour changed from red to orange on this date" etc.. Ive done it myself a few times without any problems. As for model name changes, ive never tried but I always assumed they were not allowed as someone could simply change the model of their car to something more valuable, so change 350z to 350z GT4 or something like that? -
hahah! excellent.

Im guessing the seller bought them as "nearly new" Horsham pipes, didnt get them fitted and just sold them straight on without checking what they were or what the condition was. I sell a lot of things on ebay and im totally paranoid about being 110% clear what condition things are in and what make they are.

Same thing! Has whiskers & a fluffy tail!

Oh dear....... its all downhill from now on. I got married last year and my wifes hardly left the sofa in that time - and consumed about 45 tonnes of chocolate. My elec bill is through the roof now as the telly is seldom off.

Yep, i saw this a couple of weeks back with the missus. She had no idea who James Hunt or Lauder were but even so she really enjoyed it. The car action is really well done and you really think your back in the 70`s/80`s. Cracking film.

I never let my zed out of my sight, so when it came to MOT time, i got some recommendations for a local garage who had experience in high performance RWD from people on here. I went there, and they specialised in Ferrari`s etc and had no problems MOT`ing my car and knew not to put it on the rollers due to the LSD etc. I watched them from the waiting room and as they drove down the road to test the brakes they drove it like they were granddads. I was very impressed with their professionalism and level of service so wouldnt hesitate to go back there again. The only time I let my zed out of my sight at a garage was when I took it to Nissan for a belt to be changed under warrenty. I watched in horror as the 17 year old blonde female receptionist took my keys, got in my car and off it to the workshop. The workshop was behind the showroom and you could see though a glass screen. Without realising I was watching the receptionist handed the keys over to the "mechanic" who upon realising I had a K1 exhaust on my car promptly started rev`ing the living hell out of my car. That was until the parts manager saw me standing there watching. He promptly shat himself and after lots of hand waving got the mechanic to stop.

What he said. The MOT tests up until 2012 were purely on emmisions, so you could ditch your cat and take a (slim) chance that it would still pass. However after 2012 they change the rules that if your car came with a cat, it has to have a cat in order to pass the MOT. In reality im not sure how MOT inspectors check this, as from the outside how do they know whether a cat has anything inside it. As an alternative to a de-cat you can get performance cats which i presume are free-er flowing but still keep emissions down. You can of course find a "friendly" MOT man like my mate with his 700bhp Scooby does who apparently sticks the emissions probe in the exhaust of whatever other car happens to be in the garage. However, this does mean that if you get caught by a roadside VOSA check and your car doesnt pass their roadside tests then technically its not "road worthy" and can be confiscated.

Woah.... hold it there. Why arnt I told about these things sooner?! [Rabbitstew goes off to look at eurostar prices......]

I am sure I read somewhere that the HR exhaust was tuned by Nissan and therefore was different or "better" than the older exhausts. Maybe this was the Y shape bit you mention is different rather than the silencer.

Looks like my missus....

My thoughts, surely shoot the tires out or block the car off or something.

80% of zed owners I saw didnt wave back. In fact a lot of them seemed to look puzzled and worried as to why I was waving at them!

I had Matchbox Race & Chase scaletrix... which came out shortly after the Smokey & Bandit type films.... where you had a cop car chasing another car and had a ramp in the middle of the track....... oh those were the days.... ive still got it in my loft somewhere actually!!!

Spotted last night about 6pm driving through Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire. Silver coupe, had non standard wheels and a non standard exhaust on it. Bloke driving. MK51OR* I drive through that area a lot and not seen it before so it might be a new owner.

Fukushima! do people realise we could all be fudged!
rabbitstew replied to Sempiternal's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Okay.. so i used to enjoy eating tuna when it was 25p a can, but this last few weeks ive had a look and its pushing nearly 90p for some crappy small can of the stuff now, so thats well out of my price range. Talk about inflation! Wish my salary had gone up nearly 4 times in the same time frame!!! -

Welcome! Unfortunately i never trusted my wife in my 2007 HR Roadster, but sounds like yours is more experienced in driving quick cars! -
Ejector seat? Its not standard, so my vote is foglights if yours is an import.
