Chances are he just didnt fancy doing the work. On the other hand he has a point. My front bumper was resprayed before I bought my zed and within 18 months it was already ruined with stone chips again. And that was with me driving carefully and making sure not to tail gate anyone. It just seems to be the shape of the front of the car attracts them!

Spotted on roundabout off A428 heading into St Neots this morning (15/4/2015), Black 370z Coupe, Reg **60 FZH. Had tinted windows.

Friday evening (10th April), 5.20pm, Azure blue 54 plate zed coupe heading up the A14 from Bar Hill onwards. Plate was **54 EKD. Had non standard exhaust & a stubby ariel so may well be on here. Was making quite good progress through the busy rush hour traffic.

When I bought my zed I really struggled getting a decent insurance quote also. At the time I was paying about £170 to ensure a Golf GT TDI. I had quotes for about £500 odd to insure an E46 M3 I was looking at and even a quote of £460 for a lambo gallardo. But when I tried to insure the zed, it was a nightmare. I was 40, had 20 years ncb on the car. Had a long history of driving performance cars and high powered motorbikes and yet insurance companies just didnt want to know. I actually had companies refuse to insure me on a zed. The "specialist" companies on here were quoting me about £1200. Some suggested had my current car been something like a porsche or a subaru impreza or an evo then they would have quoted me less. In the end the cheapest quote I got was through Adrian Flux and that was £900 odd. Mental really, i just couldnt believe zeds were regarded as such a mega high risk compared to other performance cars. I even remember getting a quote of £480 to insure a brand new Nissan GTR and yet my 5 year old zed was twice the price to insure!

Phew! That was a bit of luck. I may have to buy one myself now!

Unless there are any witnesses or cctv i think you might be struggling a bit to prove that the other guy did it, unless theres clear evidence like your paint all over his trailer etc.

What's the manliest thing you did over the easter weekend?
rabbitstew replied to Commander's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Ripped out our old original 1960`s kitchen, then refitted a brand new entire kitchen, including re-doing all the plumbing for the sink/waste/washing machine. Then I fitted new laminate flooring and started on the wall tiling. Meant I could use mucho man tools. All took a bit longer than I expected mind you, which effectively meant my entire weekend was written off, when I was really hoping to get out on the motorbike and take some very much needed time to relax/de-stress. Oh well. Maybe next weekend! -
I did a track day at Snetterton many years back on a motorbike and it was a cracking circuit. They used to do evening sessions which were a bargain. Was something like £40 from about 5pm until it got dark.

My 2007 zed didnt have this box and mine had the factory sat nav, so my vote is on the trackstar antenna like cs2000 says.

I use them too. However, I know that the cheapest garage near me is always the same one as they try to undercut all the other local places, so very often I play "petrol roulette" and try to get to the cheapest place before I run out. Cut it very close last week when my "miles to empty" was showing 0 and I needed to get another 9 miles to the garage.

My financial situation has varied lots over the years. When I was younger i used to spend every penny I earnt (and more). But then after being made redundant and going from earning a decent wage to just getting £50 a day doing labouring, I realised it would make sense to have a bit of a backup plan. So then I used to always try and keep 6 months salary in the bank in case anything happened. This "6 months" float has gone up & down. When I moved house a few years back I had zero in the bank, 2 mortgages and a £15k loan. But I was juggling 2 properties and until the first one sold things were very tight.

My 996 passed its MOT last week. On the downside, ive only done 450 miles since its last one and most of them were last week. Hopefully this year I can get out on it more. Ive just bought an Ohlins rear shock for it off a 998R so im hoping to get that fitted at the weekend if I find some time.

Awesome looking zed!!!

Exactly this.

Seriously?! That's ridiculous. I mean, it's a great tagline for the airline, but if I was capable of flying a plane I'd wonder where I'd gone wrong in life to be serving drinks in council class. Unless they pay all their cabin crew the same salary as pilots? Otherwise surely no motivation for someone to serve drinks etc when they could be earning more cash flying the plane.

Thats what I was thinking. Quite what use a stewardess will be in a cockpit I dont know, its not as if they are trained to fly the plane, or if they will be able to over power some psycho pilot hell bent on crashing the plane. What will they do next? Have 3 pilots on all flights so always 2 in the cockpit if one wants to have a wander about. I reckon they should just stick a bucket in the corner of the cockpit, then that way noone has to leave if they need to use the toilet.

That was a very good offer and like others have said id have snatched his hand off. When I sold my HR Roadster to a dealer nearly 3 years back the typical private asking price was £12k and after mucho haggling the dealer only gave me £9k. That was for an immaculate FSH car, nearly every optional extra available on it, it had new tyres/MOT and 40k on the clock. That was in May time so it was also coming up to when the roadsters were going to be easier to sell too due to summer.

Looks like they must be doing fairly well for themselves though, as I when I visited them a few years back they were based in an old warehouse in Stanground next to a mobility aids centre & a fishing shop. Now it looks like they have moved to new premises in Yaxley? Still, I have them to thank for me deciding to buy a 350z in the first place. I went along to look at an M3 they had, saw a 350z Roadster sitting there and immediately went off and bought one from elsewhere.

Man this is really putting me off flying ever again.
-
I remember nearly buying one many years back, a garage local to me had one in their showroom for £12k. Was soooo tempting!

I did use poor boys wheel sealant on mine but have recently switched to using fk1000p. Its so easy to apply and seems to last well.

Spotted an azure roadster heading into Cambridge on Huntingdon Road last night, about 5:15pm. Woman driver, private plate... *44 NES

I saw 3 in a convoy heading towards Chatteris on the A141 Warboys straight on the 20th March Friday afternoon. First ive seen in ages!

Bit disappointed with the line up of cars this series. I know they seem to be heavily targeting the american market these days, but id rather then did some more cars I can relate to.

Well i didnt bother looking at the eclipse as i didnt think i had anything to look at it thru. Then when it was nearly over the wife says to me "why not use your welding mask". DOHHHHH!!!!!!! So run off and get the welding mask and can see the eclipse perfectly, albeit it was nearly finished by then. Oh well. Will have to remember to get the welding mask ready in 10 years time when the next eclipse happens.
