Last few cars ive sold privately I have just stuck them on ebay, zero reserve, 99p starting price. With millions of people looking on ebay, I knew they would make the market price, and sure enough they did. Of course I had offers from people offering me £500 for a car when if they just look at sold listings they can clearly see the exact same car normally fetches £2500, but in the main it was an easy sale. One actually sold off-ebay as the guy came out, had a look then offered me a price which I thought was fair based on what I could see they were selling for on ebay, so we shook hands, he gave me the cash and drove it away. Ive only once had someone mess me about and that was a bloke who bought a motorbike off me on ebay. He turned up and I told him id actually found a load of extra spares, a pair of new tyres and a new battery which id throw in for free. He then proceeded to try and haggle me down on the ebay sold price. Cheeky git. There was me giving him about £250 worth of extra bits for free and he still wanted to knock £100 off the sold price. Ridiculous.

I wouldnt highlight the fact is has no cats and see if it passes. If it does then great, if not then you know to find somewhere friendly or retrofit some.

I have never jacked a job in without having another one lined up before hand. Sometimes ive had to spend months in a job ive hated until another one came along. Guess its the "sensible" part of me making sure that I dont end up with no job at all. I know that some employers actually frown on people who can start work "tomorow", and wonder if they are so good why they havent already got a job. I have however been made redundant a few times and gone home not knowing at all what will happen next. Each time it turned out for the best to be honest.

Thats exactly what I do. Had to do it on my 997 this morning. Mind you the ice was so thick it took me about 30mins to scrape it all off the windows after I got the car running.

They still come out with something. The other year I was paying just £60 to insure my Yamaha R1 for 12 months. I always pay in full up front. 3 months into the policy I wanted to add another bike to the policy so I gave the company a call. They didnt do multi bike, and because I had used all my NCB on the R1 they wanted £600 to insure the Ducati. Even though I can only physically ride one bike at once, and its zero extra risk to them as it was 3rd party only insurance. In fact the Ducati is miles slower than the R1 so you could argue its actually better risk for them if im riding that instead of the R1. But no, they dont see it like that. In the end I said fair enough, I will cancel the policy and go elsewhere, as I can get both insured for just £120 with a competitor. 3 months into a 12 month policy I was expecting a refund of about 75% minus a "handling fee". Oh no. They wanted £80 from me to cancel my policy! Thats on top of the £60 id already paid for the years insurance. The reason being is that their small print had the usual handling fee which was £25 for any adjustments, plus an early cancellation fee, plus they had also had a condition that if you cancelled your policy at any point before the 12 months were up then any discount you were given on the premium was invalid and there you had to pay the full amount for those 3 months... etc. etc. Ridiculous.

Interesting stuff. I always deadlift / squat in just my socks. Dont wear anything as I find it affects my stability/balance. I did read tho that proper deadlift shoes have higher heals though for the reasons you mention. For normal working out I wear a pair of old combat boots.

Same here. Mix it with milk or water, add some creatine, maltodextrin or whatever else you want, and just neck it. Who cares what it tastes like, its not like your spending hours drinking it.

Im using Protien Dynamix for all my stuff at the moment. They were crazy cheap compared to the other main names which I used to use. I got 25% off using a code, plus cashback via topcashback. Worth checking out next time you need anything. So do I. I got in from work at 6.30pm last night, after sorting out the kids & house I didnt actually get chance to sit down and have tea until 9.30pm and even then I had some cold left over lunch for my tea as I was too tired to cook anything properly. Then bed at 10pm.

I go to work every day like im some sort of tupaware rep, with tubs full of grub. Im usually up at 6am anyway after feeding the baby, so make it before the rest of the house wakes. So today for example, ive 3 tubs. One has 4 scrambled eggs in it which is like a late breakfast, then ive 2 tubs with 200g chicken, 100g rice & some peas in each. I`ll have one at about 11, then the other at about 3pm. I usually buy a sarnie or something to have at 1pm from the local shop. Ive already downed a protien shake at about 5 or 6am, then had some breakfast at 8 before I leave for work. So im getting a meal in every 2 hours pretty much. I think people at work must think ive got worms or something as im constantly opening up tubs and eating. I also carry around a load of Protein bars (Dyno bars are the best!) in case I get stuck somewhere and am hungry.

Pretty much the same old for me. This last week I managed a 40min workout on Wednesday then two 1 hour sessions over the weekend. Really beasted it Saturday as I was so angry with the wife for me not having any spare time during the week, so was dying on Sunday when it came to the Sunday session. Still, really hammered it. Having been up half to the night Friday & Saturday nights doing the babys night feeds didnt help, lack of sleep totally zapped my energy & recovery. Bought some new pre-workout stuff which seemed to help a bit, that and some Slipknot. Am hoping I can at least make a bit of progress before Christmas. Really feeling it today though.

Anyone else prefer the look of the original NSX
rabbitstew replied to HEADPHONES's topic in Other Cars
There was an old NSX parked up at my local indy last week when my 997 was in for some work, so I had a look around it. The styling has never done anything for me personally, but when I looked inside. OMG, mega 1980`s dated look. I guess that was how all cars looked back then, but wow. More black leather & plastic/pvc than the local s&m dungeon. -
Nice one. I have been with Admiral for the last 6 years. My insurance was up for renewal just this week. They wanted £750. Cheapest I could get it elsewhere was £385. I do the usual call up, explain that whilst Admiral have been slightly dearer each year I have remained loyal and stayed with them, what can they do to reduce the price. They express how keen they are to keep my business. Go through all my details again and give me a revised quote of £780. wtf. Thats going in the wrong direction. Even after mucho haggling they would only drop to £600 and that was with a much bigger excess than the cheaper quote, so ive now left them.

Still ticking over, struggling with lack of spare time to get decent workouts in, and crappy sleep as up all night feeding a baby - which means low energy levels. Weighted myself yesterday and i weigh exactly the same as I did in Feb. Between Dec 2015 and Feb 2016 I put on nearly 2 stone, mainly regaining lost size quickly, but its remained the same since. Still, im eating good, 7 meals a day, its just the lack of gym sessions which isnt helping. Only managing 2 workouts a week (sat & sunday) which is rubbish. But I did manage a good chest session in today as I worked from home, and hopefully can get some more decent sessions in before Christmas which means I can really cane the turkey meals etc and not worry about it. Hopefully once the baby starts sleeping through until 5am I can start getting early morning workouts in before work. Not ideal as my preference is after work as I have loads more energy then. But I really want to get back to 5 workouts a week in order to make some proper progress. To make matters worse ive been getting quite painful tendentious in my left forearm just on the inside of the elbow. No idea why as ive not done any heavy curls or rows for ages. But it means I cant physically do any curls unless they are 20lb or less. Very frustrating when id normally be using 60lb dumbbells easily. Been going on for about 2 months nearly. Hopefully will get better soon.

My HR was costing me about £450 a month on fuel when I was doing 15k a year, so based on that, id say about £5k depending on what the fuel prices were. Still, cracking fun as a daily commuting car.

I used my zed as my daily and do the same with my 997 now. I found the zed to be plenty practical, just not enough seats. I looked into running it just as a weekend car. But when you weigh up the savings in petrol from only running the car on a Sunday, compared to the extra cost of buying a 2nd car, its depreciation, tyres, servicing, mot, tax and insurance, it just wasnt worth it. The insurance was one of the biggest pain points. As I was using my 20 years NCB on the zed, I had zero to apply to a 2nd car. So even a £200 shed was going to cost me more then the zed to insure. I tried multicar insurance quotes and various companies and they all quoted the same.

I would be surprised if there wasnt more damage to your car once they get the back bumper off. I was rear ended once and my entire car was squished up like a concertina. I was thrown back with so much force that the drivers seat ripped clean out of the floorpan. I was only in a little Peugeot 106 mind you. Wasnt a nice experience. What made it even more frustrating is that the other driver was clearly doing a lot more than the 30mph speed limit and yet police said that they wouldnt prosecute him for anything as there "wasnt enough evidence".

I think when I serviced my zed last it was about £50 all in for the parts incl oil. The oil filter was the same one as they fit to both Nissan Micra & Nissan Navara. In fact that reminds me, I still have an oil filter in my garage, must stick it on here & sell it as I no longer need it.

Not bad going. I used to average 26mpg in my zed on my daily 90 mile commute into work. Id get 65mpg out of my Golf GT TDI and 58mpg out of the wifes old Peugeot 307HDI on the same commute.

The only Toyota GT86 that I want ~ Ferrari engined
rabbitstew replied to GMballistic's topic in Other Cars
Needs a bonnet from a 1970s hot rod with a scoop so big you cant see out of the wind screen to cover that engine. Hardly subtle. -
thats a lot of dairy lee slices!

Hahaha! Had exactly that on the wifes rear view cam once the other year and my god it was like something out of a horror film. Spider completely filled the dash screen. When I went out (well, was sent out by the wife) to investigate the actual spider was really small!
