  1. I think the rarity thing does have a lot with people staring at it. Ive only seen 1 other 350z roadster in the 6 months ive had this one, and I can count on 1 hand the number of coupe`s ive seen. Compare that to Z4`s and Porsche Boxsters, I see literally dozens of them a day.
  2. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :EDIT: Hang on.... thats the same size as my missus... ! wonder what she was doing in Newquay?!
  3. Id forgotten, I actually had a similar thing a few weeks back. I pull onto the a14 and theres a Merc behind with what looked to be a Japanese business man in the passenger seat. He promptly whips out a camera and took a couple of pix of my car! I had visions of him showing his family his holiday snaps... this is big ben, tower bridge, london eye and a 350z roadster I saw on the a14.....
  4. I get that a lot where I work. I work in Cambridge and there are loads of Japanese students here. The other day I actually had a whole coach load of them pointing and taking photos of me driving past in my car. Sometimes you see a small group of them chatting and one will notice my car and point, then the rest turn around to look at it! My missus just suggested that maybe this mornings brave yobbo thought I was just some rich businessman in a flash car - which seems a logical explanation. (although wildly inaccurate about the rich businessman bit)
  5. Sat in its new owners garage won't he be upset missing that bracket¿:-) Is that your old car? Hes not missing it And yes it is Brilliant. Excellent!
  6. WHAT!?!?!?!?! Didn't you jump in the motor and go to ask him what his problem was? I was actually so shocked that I hadn't really figured out what had happened until he was already round the corner. If he'd have been on foot he would have been in trouble. DB The problem these days is that you have no idea what the other person is like. If he is stupid enough to that he`s probably some sort of nutcase. Like this morning, had I got out and asked this guy what his problem was, id probably end up being stabbed. And yet, you know full well, if id have shouted abuse as the yob drove past in his car, he`d have jumped out and started on me without hesitation. Makes you wonder why you dont see more instances where one nutcase insults another nutcase and they stab each other to death.
  7. My god, had it not been for the wheels, that looks like my car. Ive never seen Desperate Housewives before... maybe my subconsciousness is trying to tell me something about my sexuality?! Thats not helping mate!
  8. Thats the only thing I can think of. Strange really, as had it been a "girlie" convertible then fair enough, but most people think the 350z roadster is not really a girlie car. Or is it? Im starting to get worried now.
  9. Im curious as to what other peoples experiences are of non-zed owners reactions to their cars. I seem to get reactions ranging from one extreme to the other. I have come out of the local shop after buying a pint of milk to have people who I do not know telling me "wow, thats a really nice car". I popped down the local car accessory shop last week to buy some bits for the missus`s car and came out to find the owner literally drooling over my car - we ended up having a 10min chat about it. But then on the other end of the scale this last week I had some chav shout "Gaylord" at me in the Tesco car park as I drove out, I had some morbidly obese inbred woman on the pavement in the local village call me a prick as I drove past her at 25mph in a 30 zone, and coming to work today as I slowed down for a speed ramp on the road my work place is on, I had some chubby dole dossing looking yob scream out "W*nker" at me. In all 3 cases I wasnt revving the engine, speeding or driving like an idiot, so I can only assume its just pure jealously? As a side note, I dont look like Dale Winton, im a 14 stone skinhead with tattoos and if it wasnt for the fact I was half asleep this morning, I was seriously tempted to have a quiet word with this mornings idiot. Does anyone else experience this or is it just me?!!
  10. Not forgotten about this, stocked up on loads of pies at the weekend and ive been keeping some empty pie boxes, so when I get a spare minute i`ll get a picture sorted out for nuts. On another plus side, I checked my twitter account http://twitter.com/piereviews and out of the blue I now have Pukka Pies following me!!!!! How cool is that?!! Maybe they are looking for expert advice on their pies?
  11. Tesco Value Minced Beef & Onion Pie reviewed added to the blog! 84p for 4!!! Are they like cardboard??? Find out!
  12. Yeah was going to say thats an out take from the actual film.. One thing which is worth looking on youtube for is the footage from the dukefest they have each year. Every year they write off a dodge challanger doing the most mental jumps like they used to do on the TV show.
  13. Good job you asked on here tho, as I remember asking the Nissan salesman the same question and he thought it was a belt which needed changing every 60k. I knew already it was a chain, so had a bit of a chuckle to myself. I was also tempted to ask him if he had any 4 door versions of the 350 in stock....
  14. Welcome! If you need any pie advice im your man!
  15. I actually already have one of those! I used to always service my mates cars for them and give them a stamp in the service book. My doubt more was that if its not a "proper" garage`s stamp in the book, rather than a private individual. Still, I think as long as I come across as an enthusiast when I come to sell it, rather than as some pie eating cowboy I should be ok!
  16. All sounds very strange to me. Mine definately doesnt feel slow off the line. In 2nd gear, when I floor it, I can feel the back end of the car squatting down and you are thrown back in your seats. The car pulls and pulls and pulls to its 7500 redline. The "pull" in gears 3 upwards does feel stronger sometimes, but then it maybe because you are in those gears for longer. 2nd is over in a flash, 3rd takes you upto 90 then 4th to 120. I do find with any car or motorbike ive driven, some days they feel slow, other days you are just amazed at how quick they feel. Whether or not its down to weather conditions or how your brain works ive never understood! Depending on what you are comparing it against, or what you are used to driving the 350 may not feel quick, and to be honest, it isnt super quick for a 300+ bhp car. Id be tempted to see if you can get a test drive in another one so you can compare. Are you using super unleaded?
  17. I know, thats the "logical" place I looked for it when I first started looking at 350 roadsters, but Nissan saw fit to hid it away near the filler cap release button. On the 370 roadster however, they did move the switch to the centre tunnel. They also fitted electronic roof release, rather than the manual lever you pop on the 350.
  18. Im in the same boat. I always service all my cars myself as i just do not trust garages and i know noone will treat my car with the same care as i do. Im just worried that those not in the know will frown on lack of garage stamp in service book.
  19. Painting plastic can be tricky but you`d expect an experienced bodyshop to do a good job of it. Personally I think the money you paid was about the going rate, and the fact its a non genuine spoiler is neither here nor there. It should still have been prepped and painted correctly. The scratches on the bootlid, as others have said will be from the original spoiler and ideally you`d need to get those touched up or maybe the whole bootlid repainted to hide them. Unless the bodyshop said they would include that in the original estimate then you`ll have to sort them out seperately.
  20. Its actually for snow mode for imported cars. On the roadster, the roof button is next to the filler cap pop down in r/h side of the steering column.
  21. Jesus Christ. Last year I replaced these on my mk4 golf and they came in at 25quid each side for the whole wishbone!!! Thats a hell of a difference!
  22. Mistake I made was getting an 18ct engagement ring for her, so the wedding ring has to be 18ct too. sigh...... should have got a plastic one!!!!
  23. Amazing!!! And talk about timing, i have just spent ALL weekend looking at wedding rings. Mine took me about 5minutes to find, but hers? omg... we went to EVERY jewellery shop in 5 towns before we finally found the one she wanted, and its set me back over twice the cost of mine! arrgghhh!!!!
