Yep, i thought todays announcement was reasonably positive, but as always the RRL shares dropped. Biggest problem is trying to workout what the bottom is. I bought at 24 thinking they were going up and they dropped ever since.

Been ace, had the roof down pretty much all this week and thats made me remember why i love the roadster so much.

Welcome!!!

Someone else asked the same question on here a while back, so it might be worth searching for that thread. The upshot is that the GT spec cars tend to sell easier than the non-GT spec. But, its up to you as to which you personally prefer. If the right car came along at the right price then I wouldnt see a problem in buying it if it was non GT.

Roadster owners - can you help with something?
rabbitstew replied to The Seasider's topic in 350Z General
I agree. Its clever enough to tilt the seats forward whilst the roof operates, then move the seats back, so really it should raise the windows too when it closes the roof. My car went back to the dealers a few months back and in the process of looking at a bit of trim they broke my roof completely and the car was with them for a few days whilst they fixed it. When it came back the windows operated just the same as before, so I doubt theres much they can do. But, if they are prepared to look at it for free, it wouldnt hurt to let them puzzle over it for a while. -

lol at the Nissan dealers answer. Muppets. Its perfectly normal. The most anoying thing i find, which they actually fixed on the 370 is that whilst the driver window auto goes up (like most cars) when you push the window up button fully up. But, the passenger side one doesnt - you have to keep your finger on it. On the 370 the passenger one is like the drivers one, auto up & down. -
Straight swap? Bargain! The 2011 370z I tried out had the touch screen, which is different to the XANAVI 7.0 system. Depends what the 2010 model has. Out of interest, what part ex did they give you on your 2007? Would be interesting to know when I come to get rid of mine.

Depends on where you live. I got done last year for doing 82mph in a 70mph zone. I was on a fast dual carriageway, overtaking a lorry and I had a massive long queue of cars up my ass waiting for me to pull in so they can speed by me. Unfortunately I still got done for it. 3 points and fine. That was before I got my zed and as a result of having those 3 points my insurance went up immediately by 30%. I do that same bit of road every day and 99.9% of vehicles on it are doing 80mph+, so that particular day the cops must have made a killing. Im really surprised they arent parked up there every day with the numbers of speeders they could get.

Pies, lovely lovely pies, pie appreciation thread
rabbitstew replied to Willy P's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Yep, pie reviews are still going well, I must have had 4 pies in 3 days the other week, incl one down the local pub on my "day off". Still got loads of pies left to review though, its really amazing how many different pies the supermarkets and shops stock. Makes me so glad I started the blog though as there would be no way I could possibly remember which ones id tried and which I liked or hated. I actually popped into a Morrisons over the weekend and they have a small range of pies also, so will be looking forward to see how they compare to the other big brands. I've had about 400 hits on the blog so far, which isn't bad being as its only been going for a couple of months. The twitter feed is going well, although I haven't really publicised it much so ive only got 25 followers - but they include Pukka pies and various restaurants & chefs ! I was actually on holiday last week and been snowed under with work, so haven't got around to emailing a pic to nuts magazine yet. I've been saving up the empty pie boxes however, so i can have them scattered around which should make a nice pic. -
Women eh? Hope you are going to make her pay for it! only joking! Does seem very strange though. Id definitely get one from a breakers if you can.

On the face of it, that looks like a nice car, but there are plenty of them out there, so shop around. Id rather buy from an enthusiast than a dealer as you know the car has been looked after well more often than not.

just got an insurance quote for adding spacers....
rabbitstew replied to cerealuk's topic in 350Z General
Should really hope they wouldnt charge, spacers are hardly a big risk, just make the track a bit wider. What made me laugh years ago is I had an 850cc mini with 20bhp and i fitted a roll cage. It weighed loads and made the car even slower and yet the insurance company jacked my premium up so much i could hardly afford to insure it! -
Nope, not addicted at all... Just very bored at work! lol

Yeah me too, not much else it could be!

Here’s How To Enable Facebook Timeline Right Now
rabbitstew replied to Adrian@TORQEN's topic in Off Topic Discussion
If this timeline covers my facebook life then it could be interesting. It will show ive been in / out of relationships with about 4 different birds since I joined and im not sure my current missus would be keen to see that. -
What brackets? Ive a K1 on mine and theres no brackets. It comes in 3 pieces. The long middle section, then 1 section incl each silencer (hahahahahahaahaaaaa) piece. The mounts are welded to the pipes, so they just slip in the standard rubber mounts on the car. I used 2 nut & bolts to clamp each bit together. The long front section will just bolt to the studs on your Y pipe. The gaskets were normal 3inch bore ones. I got mine off ebay, but you can pick them up from most places. Good luck with fitting, I found mine was a total nightmare trying to undo the old rusty nuts on the standard exhaust. In the end I just took an angle grinder & an air chisel to it as I lost my temper with it.

Pretty much anywhere is cheaper than halfrauds!!! I tend to use local small motorfactors, the same as all your local garages and service centres would use. Although it does pay to shop around. I recently moved house and the new motorfactor near where I live now is about 3 times the price of the one in my old town. Its actually cheaper for me to do the 25mile trip to my old town to get the bits.

I had the privilege of standing on the very side of a race track when I worked at Rockingham Racetrack and watching an F40 being screamed around the track. The sound was incredible. One of my favorite all time ferraris.

Personally I never ever trust what the previous owner or garage has done to the car service wise. So, when i get a car, the first thing I normally do is give it a full service. The bits cost hardly anything so nothing to loose. When my missus got her Peugeot 307 the dealer swore blind he`d given it a full service and he had even stamped the service book up. I checked and the oil was black, the air & pollen filters looked like they were 100 years old - full of straw and black. Depending on where you get the bits from the zed is very cheap to do an oil / filter change. My local parts place quoted me £25 for 5/30 fully synthetic oil & a filter. A genuine Nissan filter only adds a few quid to the price. At least then you know exactly what oil is put in it. Twice a year sounds fine. I normally do my cars every 10k miles, which for me is 3 times a year.
