  1. I saw that kit on Fleabay a few weeks back for £2500 I was thinking along the lines that when my back hurts I can still use the Zed to get about in. Am I correct in thinking this is the kit to do that or is it a different one. I had the use of a Porsche Cayenne that had adjustable air suspension and it reall was comfortable. I am watching this with interest:)
  2. It's that man from Candid camera again!!!
  3. Really? Chris Knott have always beaten any quote for me for the Zed then the 5 Series so I'd suggest it might be worth giving tem a call. I have mods and I went with Jason from here. The other brokers were £100's more. I would not put that statement had i not tried:) No one could get near him in my case, however i draw referance that no one could get near AXA or swift in my case for a bog standard Zed.
  4. In December 2009 I purchased an 18 month old Pathfinder Adventura from Crystals of Grantham. I got it at a very good price of £11k as it had 36000 miles on and was ex lease hire. It was not perfect and had a few little marks on it but I soon had it looking like new. In March 2011 I chopped it in against my 1st 2009 Zed with WLMG and got £13k for it! reason being the annual average milage is now not 10000 but 18,000 miles added to the fact that it was immaculate both in and out. The bottom line is that keeping your car in good condition will aid the resale as being a buyers market they can afford to bide there time and seek out the best vehicle for there money as we all do:)
  5. I'm not sure how that would end? Either in a brawl over mixed tyres or waking up in the same.bed as BBK American sandwich.Guess who is the spread?
  6. I believe you get a free pair of pink rubber gloves with that apron Dip!
  7. Why? It would show an appalling lack of humour if it was! bah humbug!!
  8. Don't have crappy clothes. Clean out my wardrobe out quite often. BBK, surely an easy answer would be to keep some close for stuff like this. Anyway, overalls are useful, and can be rolled down over summer. Lol, providing it gets hot enough in your sumer. : BHS is full of old tack so full ya boots Dip.
  9. The wheel thats on there is a OEM swap. He had the 3 button configuration on there b4 but never used it. As you know the wiring comes off the centre plates into a conector and and clips in the loom. The green earth that is also part of the button configuration goes to the small spade switch on the left/ I recon this is the problem as by taking out the 3 button left centre plate and replacing it with a blanking plate there are no wires. hence there is no green wire going to the spade switch. I would say this is almost certainly the problem and one that was overlooked by myself when I changed the wheel and Darral when he fitted it. It needs an earth lol. I will let you explain how to do that one lol
  10. I can proberbly get all those tyres sizes of yours in 050a's for under £1k fitted!
  11. I dont know what happend to the above post but someone edit it for me please, it won't let me!
  12. There are a few things we can try and have a volt metre. It may be that the Green ground wire that goes onto the spade switch on the base plate need not be there? If it was working b4 without wires by putting that on could effect it. Like I said all the equipment is here and if anyone wants to add then please do.
  13. Problem is with brokers they use specialist insurance companies then take there commision. The bigger the broker, the higher there overheads and you pay the hike. No way can they ever compete with AXA and the like. If your car has no mods then steer clear of brokers as they are just raping your wallet.
  14. Viagra? It really is a strange one so what I suggest is you still have the old wheel (Swine) which I believe worked. The contact to engage the horn is when you press down the hole of the silver bracket underneath the airbag touches the bottom plate and is resisted by the 2 coil springs like the one that pinged across your hall carpet the other day. It may be that the 3 left hand side configuration you originally had is somehow logged into the memory of the ECU. There is only one solution in your case and that is we reverse everything we did in a bid to find out what is going on. We will start off by sticking your old wheel back and if it works take it from there. Its a matter of getting to mine in decent weather as all the tork keys and stuff are here. Ring me to sort out a time etc.
  15. +1 +2 its not rocket science. go on AT set parameters for as close to own car as possible. look at what comes up snd prices your own somewhere in the middle. .... what actually happens is people do the first stage, see how much cash the car has dropped through depreciation, sh1t themselves, and then come on here for reassurance from the club that it isn't true. then get upset when someone tells them that yes your car is now worth feck all. and they go off in a strop because the car hadn't increased in value like they thought it would. Who has done that then! Oh yes I know one lol. ooppsss!
  16. We let him loose now he is potty trained. If he gets excited we just show him a picture of Harry and he transfixes his eyes on it. Then whilst he is distracted we slap him hard across the back of the head with a heavy frying pan. He usually takes a wee knap after this so we can get some piece and quiet.
  17. Stop besmirching my ride Mr Biscuit Sir!!!
  18. Sound like you should walk away, If you found that many problems whilst on a walk round check, what will you find in the cold light of day. And it's had 6 owners to boot. You obviously don't feel comfortable with the car so wave it goodbuy.
