i assume you have checked the fuses first? also spin the fans by hand, are they seized? just 2 simple checks that should be carried out first, before replacing components/bleeding cooling system

could be a coil breaking down, or an air leak in the intake system, when you are idling can you hear any hissing from the engine bay as if a split hose were sucking extra air in? this would cause it to run rough, or hunt at idle as the engine will be runnin too lean. but as you say could well be a spark plug fecked, wouldnt worry about your shorting to ground on the mirrors, highly unlikely anything will be to do with that.

im used to M5 and M6 sprak plugs so the Z was mega easy in comparison! Shame ya dont live down here mate I wouldve done it for £30 on a Sat morn!

is it a touch screen unit like the one in the video, in which case the japanese buttons on your unit are not needed, and could be removed and smoothed over as if they were never there?

most are delimited upon entry to the UK mine had full UK MPH conversion, foglight at rear built into original lighting unit, and definetly went above 112mph! (yes you will find some dont have this though lol) in answer to the original question - have you viewed and driven both cars? pictures, descriptions, stats etc are really worth nothing until you have checked it over yourself! i had a jdm 53 reg and it was immaculate and drove extremely well, got a 54 plate UK gt model now also drives lovely but needs couple of tiny bits doing just goes to prove UK cars arent always better, but neither are the JDMs - althought i wouldnt let the fact its a JDM put me off buying it
