There is GPS connection even if you have network, even in airplane, tried and tested. Doesn't download maps through 2G/3G/4G as there is no network, but it shows the location on a wide map.

Five drivers who took photographs as they drove past an accident on a Northamptonshire road have been punished by the courts. The motorists all passed a van which had left the road on the eastbound carriageway of the A45 near Great Doddington on May 12 this year. As they travelled along the westbound carriageway, the five male drivers all took pictures of the scene on the opposite side. At Northampton Magistrates Court last month, all five pleaded guilty to not being in control of their vehicles. Inspector Jen Helm from Northamptonshire Police said: “I don’t want drivers just to think about the consequences of being fined for their actions, I also want them to understand the majority of people see their behaviour as dangerous, illegal and disrespectful to victims and their families. “We have prosecuted people for this kind of behaviour before and we are more than willing to do it again until this risky, voyeuristic fad passes.†The five drivers were aged between 30 and 57 years-old and included two from Northampton, one from Wellingborough, one from Rugby and one from West Yorkshire. All of the drivers were caught in a five minute period by officers at the scene who noticed motorists on the opposite side of the road were taking pictures as they drove past. After spotting the reckless drivers, officers from the Collision Investigation Team took pictures of them while other members of the emergency services dealt with the collision. Taking into account court costs and fines, the five men were all ordered to pay between £205 and £285 by magistrates. All of the drivers also had three points added to their licences. https://www.northants.police.uk/#!/News/24116

Apple CarPlay went live on Pioneer's NEX and AppRadio 4 installable systems late Wednesday night, making this new, smartphone-safe auto interface available for older cars before it's shown up in any new cars (except the Ferrari, which is too fancy-shmancy to count). If you have or install of these systems in your car, you'll be able to plug in your CarPlay-compatible iPhone (iPhone 5 or later) to make calls, send and receive text messages, and use compatible apps safely from the display and other controls. Why this matters: One of the coolest new kinds of car tech, from the most popular technology company in the world, is available for your oldish beater of a car before basically anyone else gets it. And it's not just cool and new--it also promises to make using your smartphone in your car a lot safer than it is now, even with Siri Eyes Free. We saw a late beta of CarPlay in Pioneer's AVIC-8000NEX infotainment system earlier this year. That flagship product has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and an MSRP of $1400, but it has NEX cousins with prices down to $700 MSRP. Currently installed systems simply need a free firmware upgrade, which you can download yourself and install via USB drive (or an authorized dealer can do it for you). With AppRadio 4, Pioneer launches a new version of its touchscreen-based receiver, and the second product line with CarPlay compatibility. The AppRadio 4 has a 6.2-inch capacitive touchscreen and an MSRP of $600. New cars with Apple CarPlay are due to ship any day now. Apple's roster of automaker partners includes Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, and many more. But for all those who don't plan to buy a new car, Pioneer offers a third-party solution. Rival Alpine should be coming out with its product eventually as well. http://www.macworld....r-once-3574984/

Anyone on here knows if you could fit a 350z BBK on a 370z? I know there is an adapter for 370z brakes to go on 350z, but not aware of the other way round. https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=3411

The complete list of changes are as follows: The iBooks icon has been slightly refreshed. If you navigate to Settings > General > Keyboards, you’ll notice a brand new Enable Dictation toggle. The apps permissions screen has been slightly tweaked with new options. The Recently Added album in the Photos app has been renamed to Camera Roll and the My Photo Stream album also makes a dramatic return. When you’re selecting a new widget to place in Notification Center, the app icons are now larger than before, making things more prominent. Other changes include a hidden menu for Apple Pay, which as we mentioned before, is part of this point update, and is not available to access for everyone just yet. And the rest of the changes pertain to bug fixes and performance fixes.

The gearbox made to US yesterday, it's now being stripped and analysed to see what went wrong. Full report to be uploaded later on with photos of the damaged parts. The valve body is also being analysed. In the end I've decided to go for 1000bhp build on the gearbox, should be back in UK by mid next week.
