And this is why we will never do business together.
You bought a car 3 months ago, it broke, you've fixed it. I don't think it's worth any more now than what you paid for it 3 months ago hence breaking even is an achievement as you've paid out an amount towards fixing it. That is unless you got it cheap in the first place.
If you did get it cheap then I don't personally think it's worth any more than any other good example on the market right now.
You asked for opinions, that is mine.
Let's clarify things a little bit
I bought the car 3 months back. It didn't break, it was working absolutely fine, but because it had warranty I took it to a garage to be inspected, in case anything would have been wrong to be fixed under warranty.
I've paid £12750 on it, which was about £2000 under the market value after hard negotiations, Darren was there with me, so he knows, down from £14000 asking price (which was a bit lower than the market already)
So cars with similar mileage and age are advertised from £15k upwards, but no warranty and no rebuilt engine, so knowing Porsche's bore scoring problems with these engines and IMS failures let me disagree with you and say that this car is worth about £2k more than the market. It can be easily proven when it's going to be sold
The garage has 2 other cars with exactly the same problem as mine, cars which have arrived after I took mine in. They're saying they're seeing at least 1 a month with serious bore scoring that needs engine rebuilt. At this rate, any other "good example on the market" is very prone to have the same issues, but because they don't come with warranty if you buy privately, in case they go wrong you'll end up with £6-8k bill, depending on the garage that does the work.
Meanwhile, what's business got to do with personal opinions and debate here? We're not talking about TORQEN products and services, are we?
