FX rate doesn't look good at all, dropped to 1.38 already from 1.58 when we've launched the website and published the prices... That's 12.65%. Hopefully we won't see it going all the way down to 1.1 as we had it before...

Parking Fine - Parking Eye, any experiences?
Adrian@TORQEN replied to 14N's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I remember being in a similar situation two years ago. I was so sick while driving home from my office, nearly fainted on M1, but managed to drag the car to the first services and parked there. Called my wife to come pick me up as I couldn't drive anymore. My wife came and we left in her car, leaving my car in the car park with hazard lights on. Went straight to GP, from there to A&I. Got back to pick up the car the same day, in the evening, after feeling much better. They've sent me a parking fine a few days later. I called to explain what happened, they didn't care, kept asking to pay the fine. I said I won't pay anything, they can check the CCTV camera and I will provide evidence from GP if they need me to. Kept sending letters, probably 5-6, but after a while they stopped. I never paid anything. -
Oh, and I'm very surprised only 45 people on this forum care about this serious debate, casting their votes on this thread. I was expecting few hundred votes at least!

Yeah, bloody immigrants going abroad to steal other people's jobs, putting pressure on their national health system  2.2mil only in Europe On a more serious note, this is what Cameron had to say about the referendum:
-
I would imagine there are more Brits working in EU than 250k, out of a total of 2.2mil living in EU.

*** TORQEN *** MOTORDYNE GROUP BUY *** What do you need?
Adrian@TORQEN replied to Adrian@TORQEN's topic in TORQEN
Hi guys, Back in UK, just catching up with orders, enquiries, forums, WhatsApp groups etc As mentioned on the News topic, we're keeping a close eye on the USD/GBP rate and adjust the prices accordingly. Increasing the prices is not a decision taken lightly, but we cannot run a business at a loss as you can imagine. It's not something we can control unfortunately, the FX market is very volatile now with all the BREXIT news. I'm not sure what old stock levels or prices other places have, but if they keep a vigilant eye on the business surely they won't make a loss. I'm sorry I can't comment on that as I don't know. As usual we will do our best to keep the prices as low as possible so you can enjoy cracking deals as always Should be able to get some final prices on this group buy early next week. Hopefully the FX will improve a bit by the end of the month. -

EU referendum: Out vote 'would risk jobs', say bosses http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-35636838 What leaving the EU could cost travellers http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/comment/what-would-brexit-mean-for-travellers/

Letter by Simon Sweeney in the Guardian: "What did the EU ever do for us? Not much, apart from: providing 57% of our trade; structural funding to areas hit by industrial decline; clean beaches and rivers; cleaner air; lead free petrol; restrictions on landfill dumping; a recycling culture; cheaper mobile charges; cheaper air travel; improved consumer protection and food labelling; a ban on growth hormones and other harmful food additives; better product safety; single market competition bringing quality improvements and better industrial performance; break up of monopolies; Europe-wide patent and copyright protection; no paperwork or customs for exports throughout the single market; price transparency and removal of commission on currency exchanges across the eurozone; freedom to travel, live and work across Europe; funded opportunities for young people to undertake study or work placements abroad; access to European health services; labour protection and enhanced social welfare; smoke-free workplaces; equal pay legislation; holiday entitlement; the right not to work more than a 48-hour week without overtime; strongest wildlife protection in the world; improved animal welfare in food production; EU-funded research and industrial collaboration; EU representation in international forums; bloc EEA negotiation at the WTO; EU diplomatic efforts to uphold the nuclear non-proliferation treaty; European arrest warrant; cross border policing to combat human trafficking, arms and drug smuggling; counter terrorism intelligence; European civil and military co-operation in post-conflict zones in Europe and Africa; support for democracy and human rights across Europe and beyond; investment across Europe contributing to better living standards and educational, social and cultural capital. All of this is nothing compared with its greatest achievements: the EU has for 60 years been the foundation of peace between European neighbours after centuries of bloodshed. It furthermore assisted the extraordinary political, social and economic transformation of 13 former dictatorships, now EU members, since 1980. Now the union faces major challenges brought on by neoliberal economic globalisation, and worsened by its own systemic weaknesses. It is taking measures to overcome these. We in the UK should reflect on whether our net contribution of £7bn out of total government expenditure of £695bn is good value. We must play a full part in enabling the union to be a force for good in a multi-polar global future. Simon Sweeney, Lecturer in international political economy, University of York"

Mayday, Mayday, we are going down! Guys, Joke aside, as you are aware of the current political situation with UK vs UE, also known as BREXIT, the GBP is being "massacred" by the US Dollar, its lowest level in seven years and its largest daily drop since 2009. As a result, we had to adjust some of the prices for the products imported from USA. If the situation changes, we will keep a close eye on the FX rate and re-adjust the prices accordingly to provide you the best possible prices in UK as always. Chariots are made from bronze, over 1000kg each. Warriors are made from the local special clay, hollow inside, about 300kg each. We had a private tour guide hired by the factory we work with, it was a nice touch as she spoke really good English and knew the place inside out. They discovered this place in 1974 while the local farmers were digging for water. There are thousands still uncovered until they figure out how to protect the colours as they fade within few weeks if let in the normal air. Some amazing stories about Qin, China's first emperor. He unified China's 7 kingdoms under his reign, built this place and also the Great Wall, such a busy man -
Time to make some TORQEN titanium ones at decent prices
