  1. Thanks Painstaking but I'm glad i did it. Gold on an Azure didn't seem to look right.
  2. Several weekends work! The trick was using scotch pads to get into every crevice.
  3. Hours of cleaning, rubbing down and de greasing. VHT red paint , decals, and then VHT clear lacquer.
  4. Vini69 said I wish I could find it that cheap where I am! Looking into storage for the Zed over winter and cheapest I can find is £100 per month
  5. Just been listening to this on the radio. Amazing
  6. Might be driving it gently because the clutch is on its way out?
  7. +1 Had this problem on a BMW ended up going to a garage to get them to plug a diagnostic tester in. It actually pinpoints it to which sensor is activating the light. Turned out to be passenger seat wire / sensor. £30 for diagnostic and soldered the wire myself. At least if you have exhausted everything else you could try this. NB you need a proper airbag diagnostic device rather than the hand held OBD reader.

    Whoa There!

I did search the youtube string and returned nothing Don't worry Doogy, it was a liveleak.com link posted by muggin on Tuesday in media.
  9. +1 Check his feedback, paid £350 less than a month ago for them and has bought/sold parts for 6 different cars that I can see in the last 12 months. Sold a faulty spray gun as well. How long is he saying he's had the car? Is he a bit of a car dealer? All said and done though, you can't judge it/him untill you've viewed.

    Going backwards

Given that you can now pick up a Zed for A TENTH of the price of your current car, they do represent tremendous value for money. Its that aspect that makes me think I should keep mine.

    Going backwards

Ha, if I hadn't bought the E type we could have done a PX deal Seriously though, putting a house purchase before having large amounts tied up in cars is always the best option. you won't regret it. Did the same myself, nearly twenty years later can just afford what I want again!
  13. Have to agree Chris, think it loses that classic "mini" look if you do the roof as well. But just my opinion
  14. Not sure about the bonnet but the colour looks familiar
  15. Looking good Keyser Does the roof seam/gutter stay?
  16. Thanks for the impartial advice Chris "that way there will only be one azure in Macc" Need to get the LMs on next week and get some photos of both cars up.
  17. Cheers Zugara, she doesn't need any more encouragement. 10bhp less than the Zed, no fancy electronics, traction control, ecus, abs, etc what could possibly go wrong
  18. +100000000 If you cant convince the Mrs, you can always ship it to me... the steering wheel will be on the correct side then Waiting for some sun! Doogy, I'll bear that in mind
  19. Thanks for the comments guys
  20. @Chris, Live in the garage til she's talking to me again! No, it does need some cosmetic work and a new hood so want to try and get those bits done over winter ready for next summer. Exhaust is blowing so good excuse to go to JP again after they did such a good job with the zed, for a stainless system. As I said the dilema is keeping the Zed or using the money to restore the E type. With 7k I would hopefully get for the Zed, I could get the E type perfect. Shame is, I haven't even put the LMGT4 refurbed wheels on yet. Seeing you the other day made the decision all the more difficult
