  1. PMSL ...And he wonder why he does not have a girlfriend He said he had "about 20+ models. " Or have I misunderstood him!
  2. Yeh that's the one that caught my eye. Ah well bought a 43 year old jag instead. What have i done?
  3. 99% sure it's the battery. Mine did the same.Cold weather seems to finish them off.
  4. What a shame! I thought it was a brilliant idea. I've tried to show my son some basic maintenance checks and skills but it's like pulling teeth I think we run round after them so much, they don't see the need. If it breaks someone ELSE will fix it. Don't get me wrong, I love him to bits but sometimes......... Do i sound like a sad old f*rt?
  5. Plus, given the weather and time of year, properly cleared screen and clean lights are good maintenance tips.
  6. I think Marzman did this at Oulton Park this year and posted pics and a write up.
  7. Just stating the obvious on coolant cap removal when it's hot. ie don't or take care,
  8. Remove the front wheel arch liners and as said above adjusters are located on back of the lights,
  9. Shame I just sold mine, you would have been more than welcome to have driven it and compared. Perhaps because you,ve been driving it more you've got used to it? No fault codes showing or stored I presume, so can't be anything serious. Dave suggested clutch but i'm sure you would know if it was that. Only real way to be sure is a rolling road. There is a guy in Congleton who does a lot of rally cars. http://jc-webs.co.uk/mikeanics Anyway, hope you get it sorted.
  10. It was the closest I could find to the elusive Jag Van.
  11. If its a Jag van sure Didnt know Jag made vans mind There is the Goodwood Estate Transit with an XJ220 engine if that counts
  12. Have to agree that I prefer the darker colours. Maybe the white looks better in the flesh, I suppose it's a younger look.
  13. 1 16 made and valued at £1 million , bit out of our reach RT, still
  14. Welcome along On the insurance question we were with Shielas Wheels with the car in my wife's name, came in the cheapest if that's any help.
  15. :scare: It never even went out in the rain with us let alone storm chasing and hurricane Sandy! Only pulling your leg Glad your getting it sorted.
  16. Welcome Have to agree though perhaps a little overpriced.
  17. Love the updates! Keep up the great work. Suppose you saw Bernie and the muppets on the last episode of classic car rescue doing the Mini " cooper " yours should be worth about 30k in comparison
  18. That's because I never had chance to drive it! As you've said the paint and corrosion protection seems to be a downside to these cars. Just keep on top of it and don't ignore it. Main thing is you are actually getting some use and enjoyment out of it, so don't become a "Stress Head" like my son accused me of being with it!
