  8. I presume Project 7 is a nod to Mike Hawthorn's 1955 Le Mans winning No. 6 D type.... You me and Dave are becoming Jag bores, they'll be throwing us of next
  9. That looks like its going to be fun putting back together I just have visions of it being like Ikea flat pack with a load of important bits left over. Iv'e got a couple of these if you need them Cheers Dave!!! I notice you haven't actually used it more than once as all the ends aren't rounded off.

  11. Looking good Dave and RT!! RT said, "As its jag related I thought it better in here than a new thread. As not everyone's a jag lover." Couple of pics of parts back from de rusting and e coating. This has been a major headache, delay and cost. Lesson learnt, any form of de rusting, be it blasting or chemical, does not miraculously make your parts like new again. The problem was all the smaller parts of the bonnet that looked salvageable but once the rust is removed, there's b*gger all left of them! So now I can't rebuild the bonnet until I have either sourced or had re fabricated the various brackets and flanges that hold it all together. See below one giant airfix kit with no instructions and bits missing. All i have for reference is the 100 or so photos I took while dismantling it and thank heavens I did that!
  12. Very nice RT, great attention to detail.
  13. Don't worry, they all pi$$ in a bucket. Enviro friendly and bio degradeable.
  14. :scare: Sorry Why not just do an HPI check on the RAC site. I'm nt sure of what information it will throw up but may be well worth a shot. HPI check won't give yiu anything regarding the owner... I think Rothers might be pointing you in the right direction..... http://www.experian.co.uk/automotive/dvla-keeper-enquiries.html Worth a look??
  15. Spotted?? Dave on the way home......
  16. Not a car ad as such but features a very sexy jaguar...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4UPOVj3iWjo
  17. The box in the centre console has a deceleration and inertia sensor in it that triggers the airbags. They do however have seperate side impact sensors located in the b posts.
  18. Mirrors, Clever lighting, Hypnosis and Photoshop.
  19. Well done guys, think I spotted how you did it?
  20. Shaun of The Dead, that's a Rom Com, what's wrong with that?
  21. Loving the updates and vids Dan. Remember some of the unplanned bits are all part of the adventure and where you stumble across amazing surprises. Having driven in rush hour Paris I can sympathise however with your comments. Keep calm and carry on.

    Jag F-Type

Had the chance to have a good look round one and sit in it on a Jaguar stand at a recent classic car meet and have to say I really like it. It was in white which suited it nicely.
  23. Just drive as fast as you can into something solid. The airbag that doesn't go off is the problem. Simples! On a serious note check as mentioned above the seat connections. I think the airbag ones are yellow.
