  1. Thanks Nimrod - Coupé is the one for me though.
  2. You selling it HayndH?...
  3. Brill. That's a massive help mate. Thanks for that!
  4. ...aahhh... so the ones that I see advertised as 2005 300PS are all tosh?
  5. Magic > I can't get to your topic! Budget > Really depends on how much I get for my R1, but if I end up getting a 2006, then I would say £11.5K - if I get a 2007 then I think £13K. Am I right in thinking that there is no way of getting a 300PS model with lower road tax? Cheers guys/gals
  6. Ha ha I knew that was coming. I did spend some time searching but could only find the interior difference between the 05 and 06 models. Will keep looking.
  7. Hi there, Looking for a 2006 or 2007 Z with less than 40,000 miles on the clock. Must be a GT. Sat nav and parking sensors would be lovely but not essential. I've not actually seen the orange/tan leather in the flesh, but if you think it's not too garish, then I don't mind this either. FNSH with major service completed - would be nice too. Unmodified exterior only please, no body kits. Rays alloys. If it happens to have any engine mods then bring it on. Thanks!
  8. Afternoon all, Stepping up the hunt for a Z at the mo. I am seeing some cross-over between vehicle years and claimed power. I have seen 2005 cars listed as 280 and 300 PS as have I seen 2006 cars listed as 300 and 313. Is there any definitive way of checking the difference between the 3 engines via pictures or an actual visit? I can see some unknowledgable/dodgy traders trying it on... I will post a wanted ad in the appropriate section... (low miles GT, anything but silver!) Thanks in advance.
  9. My pride and joy 'commuter' about to go up for sale to make way for a 350Z!
  10. Sorry Neil... Meant to say that the car felt the full 295 bhp in 1st gear, but only about 180 bhp in 2nd. Hard to say having literally only had 5 minutes with the car. I suspect there was a fault of some kind. Will have to have another go in another car!!
  11. It felt like in 2nd gear, the car only had 180 bhp and nowhere near the eagerness of 1st. Obviously it will feel different in 1st to second with a drop in acceleration, but I thought it felt a little odd. Didn't get to stretch it in 3rd so not sure.
  12. Cheers Martinmac! One last question before I move into the other sections of the site... I test drove a Z on Sat. There was obviously some fault with the car/battery at The Car People as it wouldn't hold it's charge for longer than a day or so. Anyway. The car felt uber-rapid in 1st gear, and sounded unbelievable. But then in 2nd gear it felt pretty ordinary. Was I dreaming or is this characteristic of the engine?
  13. Thanks Firkin. I would (ideally) like all bells/whistles, just depends on what's available at the time. I would like parking sensors, although not many seem to have them. I am just very used to my mrs' car - every time I drive a car without I nearly hit something waiting for the beep! The 'Frost Grey' leather looks brilliant. But I think that it's a 313 PS model option (am I right?). http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201104378452773/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_40000_miles/colour/black/model/350_z/make/nissan/radius/1501/page/1/postcode/m359wp?logcode=p this one looks great with the red leather. Speaking to a Nissan salesman, he suggested that I only go for the 300 or 313 PS engine (as the earlier one only had one air intake - ?) and not to bother with Sat Nav as it's not very good. Instead use the space for a TomTom. Also I have read the interiors aren't very good quality pre 2006.
  14. Bloody hell...! Didn't expect so many replies! Genuine thanks to all for welcoming me. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right section (sorry mods!) but here goes. Been biking almost 4 years now (Thundercat/RSV 1000R/'08 R1 for those in the know) but a new job is kind of forcing me to get a car again. Last car was an '01 Audi S3, brilliant bit of kit, was sorry to see it go! Wanted a V8 (RS6 prev gen) or VXR8. But the RS6 comes with scarily gigantic maintenance bills and the wife won't allow a "chavvy Vauxhall" to adorn our driveway. Perhaps still an RS4 in a few years...maybe. Budget > Good question. I reckon around £12-13K. Either blue, black or white (can only find white 1 import on AutoTrader). I would obviously like one that was registered before 23rd March 06 to get lower tax, but I do want a 295 bhp one. From my reading around, the only place I can seem to get any info regarding this is www.parkers.co.uk. It appears I have a window of about a month where this model was produced, but before the tax cut-off date. GT pack is a must, parking sensors would be nice and if one is fitted with anything to replace that cassette tape loader (WTF?) then that would be nice. Insurance is a complete bitch (£1,550) as I have lost my car no claims (but gained 4 yrs bike no claims!). Waffle over!
  15. Good afternoon chaps & ladies, Looking to leave the biking fraternity and purchase a 350Z. Going to steal some of your knowledge to expand my brain. Thanks Seech '09 R1 soon to be 350Z
