I'd like to see them try out the 370Z on the show.

There's loads on "Hitler Finds Out" some are absolutely hilarious, especcially the ones about XBOX, PS3 etc but as the topic is OBL:

How many people go to this one? I have limited amount of time off work so need to be picky .

I enjoyed the video, wished it had a few clips of my car (Midnight Blue Coupe) And that's one expensive camera . Whilst I'm no photographer, I do enjoy going out and taking pictures. I have a Canon EOS Rebel XT and can't even get a picture half of what the camera deserves, in fact I only found out how to take pictures of moving cars "properly" the day before the show . Nice job .

I got mine a month after my 23rd birthday. Insurance is pretty cheap too, but I expect it to go up next year due to some arsons in my area over the last few months . I get bored of cars quickly and I wondered how long it will take to get bored of the zed, but after Saturday's show I think I'll be holding onto it for a while. Well, at least until I want 4wd...

Get under the car and check it out yourself too, make sure the bodyshop isn't trying to make some extra cash where it isn't needed .

Sounds like a great day out but a good 3 hour drive for me . -
How big is Japfest 2? I'm tempted to go along, do we do anything for that one?
-
I was slightly disappointed, there was somewhat a lack of models around most of the time Nice pictures by the way

Well here's some more: She wouldn't get out of the way of the car... honest: She could stay in the way all day : who needs a bin?
-
Here we go, apologies if I missed anyone: On the track: Probably my favourite picture of the day: It wasn't lapping with our cars but hey, it's eye candy: Miltek Sport, matt orange GTR: I probably have more of our guys but Photobucket is starting to play up and not showing the edits I am making on the posted pictures so I will mess around with it all tomorrow.

Just for your info, today I did a 200 mile round trip probably 190 of those on the motorway, I got 27.8mpg using cruise control at about 75mph most of the time, I did give it a bootful on some national speed limit roads and had a bit of fun though. Usually in town I get about 22mpg.

No problem at all, someone had to do it .

Is it me or is this thread going to be overly flooded by pictures? It's going to take days to go through them... Great day out

Great day out, I'm just a LITTLE bit sunburnt -> <- me Nice to meet everyone at last was a good day out. I got home and crashed out for 5 hours or so due to getting no sleep last night after work called me in last minute . I am currently uploading about 118 pictures (of over 500 taken during the day) to Photobucket. I have some pretty good shots of the guys out on the track and some from other club stands etc. Unfortunately trying to get some pictures to look purposely blurry resulted in 1 good picture out of every 10 but I think I got at least 1 good shot of each car and a few from the Z Car Club too. I will upload them, sort them out and get the best ones on here as soon as I can. It will probably take a few hours for Photobucket as I have to upload them in groups of 4 to prevent it crashing, so if I'm awake they will get done today .

Whilst I think paying £5000 for a car wash is insane, I think we can all agree that I we were in his position we would all be very happy people...
-
I get that all the time so I know exactly how you fell... All the damn time... Will get worse in a few years when I upgrade to a 370z .

I found that I need a lot less of the radid detailed than the RM. I also found it gave a much "wetter" look on my dark paintwork than RM did. Don't get me wrong RM is a good product but I can't say it is worth nearly 3x as much as the Autoglym product.

This debate could get interesting.................

Police issue tickets like this anyway, it's up to the person if they want to pay it or contest it in court, it has always been the same. The whole thing about these £100 on the spot fines doesn't infringe on a person's right to take it to court if they wish and have a magistrate decide. The way I look at it is that I (and everyone else here as tax payers) pay for people who go to court. A court session costs a lot, CPS lawyers, legal aid lawyers, magistrates, court staff, interpreters etc. The amount people get fined for "legal expenses/court fees" if found guilty is probably less than 1/10th of the actual cost. Police officers can already issue a variety of on the spot fines, from public order offences, road traffic offences and various other offences. There's nothing new being introduced in regards to making officers on the spot judges. If someone is pulled over now for driving with a bald tyre, they will be given an "on the spot" fixed penalty of £60 and 3 points. The person then has the right to contest the fine and go to court or pay the fine and have their license endorsed with 3 points. At no point have I read anywhere that the person is given a fine "on the spot" and never have the choice to contest it. - From the article At the end of the day, it is the idiots who drive like utter morons who cause damage to us decent drivers cars and raise the insurance premiums of everyone else. I've heard quite a few people on the radio go on about "police will target people who rely on their car for their jobs." Well in my opinion, if you reply on your driving license for your living, you should be driving even more carefully. I look at things from the other side of the fence as I have for to often seen the direct results of dangerous driving and had to deal with it in some capacity. What I think would be interesting would be to increase the speed limit on a motorway to 80-85mph, then if people decide to go over it have a pretty much zero tolerance approach to it to stop the "unofficial" speed limit going up to 90. People can't have cake and eat it too... On a side note, I think all new drivers should also have to pass a motorway driving test also. Quentin Wilson was on the news today and he summed it up quite well, in the UK we don't learn to drive, we learn to pass a test. I passed my driving test in 5 days doing a "crash course" and whilst I was glad to pass, now I look back I think how on earth did they let me out on the roads? Also, the highway code isn't the be all and end all, the road traffic act is where you need to look for offences & legalities. -
I ran out of Dodo Juice Red Mist this week a few days before Japfest and needed something I can take with me on the day just to clean it up when I'm there. Using a family discount I got the the Rapid Detailer for about £3. I've always liked Autoglym stuff but never used this before. Tested it out before work today and in my opinion, it is far, far better than Red Mist and is a lot cheaper to (even without the discount). So for those of you who don't use Red Mist or are looking to try an alternative, give it a go, gave me great results.

Going on a bike trip this week to WALES (FOR NOW)
Peter10 replied to andlid's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I'd love to cycle in Spain but not at this time of year, way to hot . I plan to at some point cycle from Esjberg in Denmark down to Hoek Van Holland, about 800 miles or so by the time I divert to a few places on the way like Amsterdam etc. The problem is my bike is a dedicated roadie so no space to put a tent or camping supplies. If you have a spare few weeks, do the North Sea Cycle Route about 4500miles around the UK, Holland, Germany, Denmark etc. I'd love to do it, but would need a good reason to do so (I'd never find the excuse to get out and train). This website shows some great routes to do in out side of Europe. http://www.northsea-cycle.com/default.a ... u=3〈=1 -
She probably doesn't declare the points... I think anything over 12 should be an automatic 6 month ban, everyone can manage to get 3 or 6 points for speeding or something silly, but to amass 12 points you have to start to think why? Then again, some things never work, it's like driving with a mobile phone, if they made it 6 points and a £150 fine I bet fewer people would risk it.
