I wish I could do that sometimes. I'm really not looking forward to driving the Zed in winter. I just can't afford to run a shed. My insurance is pretty high and to tax another vehicle. Zed is fine in the winter, you've got heated seats and the big V6 warms up fast on those cold mornings. You just appreciate those dry warmer days all the more. I'm more worried about the inevitable 6" snow on the roads the council told us they will be prepared for lol:cold: .

Can someone fix the typo in the title though (or am I missing something ) -
I should really go, it's only an hour and 20 minutes from me in good traffic. I also would love to go to the Festival of Speed.

I've used the kit you bought. Worked great on my Zed and a few other cars I have done. You just have to use the wet and dry very carefully and keep checking it every 3 or 4 strokes. The compund the provide is pretty strong stuff. You have to again keep checking it. I found buy using the compound most heavily on the repaired area and then working my way out gently from the scratch gave the best result.

I've only had two experiences with dealers. One was where I got my car from one I walked away from feeling pretty disgusted. It was a WLMG dealer. I went in, said I wanted the 350Z they had advertised online. They looked at me like I was dirt and laughed because of my age and that I must have been joking. It was only when I said what I do for a living and that I had enough to put 50% in cash ready to put down on the car and then they entertained me. During the talk to the salesman, I said that their asking price was at least £2000 over its value and they did their best to say it wasn't (funny, as it is still unsold today even after taking £1500 off the old asking price). The person who I dealt with openly said he didn't know anything about the car, but he did say all he wanted to do was sell it to me. He couldn't tell me the insurance group or tax band, how the electric mirror controls worked or even what the bluetooth adapter was for. They then gave me a finance plan on the car and I said it was asking too much (total payment, including a part exchange was over £22000 for 2007 350Z!). I said that for a few thousand more, I could buy a second hand 370Z and they said I would struggle to find one for that . I left basically saying that I would find the same car for at least £2000 less, to which they said I never would. I still got calls and emails from them asking if I wanted to buy it (to which was verging on pressure selling). I even said, send me the finance details in a hard copy or via email and I would look into it. They didn't, but still carried on calling me. A month later I was buying my 350Z and got another phone call from them. I said, "Sorry, I'm busy buying a car at the moment." To which he replied, "Oh, what are you getting..." "A 350Z for £2400 less than yours, goodbye." and I hung up. A few days later I was in the area of the WLMG so I had to drive past the show room a few times (not on purpose honest) in the same colour & year car looking like -> <- The funny thing is, even though I know the guy who sold me my car was so nice because he wanted to sell it to me, he was very good. He used to work for Nissan himself, had one as a company car for 7 years and knew it inside out. He could have been an arrogant sod (he wasn't), but he knew his stuff. I sent an email to the dealership and called the salesman after getting a reply. I told him I was very interested, to which he said he knew as the email was sent at 3am the day before . I put a holding deposit down that day and arranged to go and see it the week later. It was a 80 mile drive to see the car, so again he already knew my intention. I turned up, he met me outside, threw the keys and me and said lets go out for a drive. No talking, no paperwork, just keys in hand and a 30 mile test drive. That's how you sell a car! I'd never buy a car from someone who is a total moron, private or dealer.

I don't think black would work on the mdnight blue zed. IMO the colour of rays is spot on. If I was to change they woulnhvr to be silver, grey or a matt colour in-between. Maybe the blue ones in a previous post.

How many people will we need for this?

Lego is great and I loved it as a kid, it's just a shame that they have gone down the line of pretty much pre-making everything these days.

And they charge accordingly for this e.g 370z + £20k................. Yup, a 370Z is probably the best value for money car in its category and probably one of the best looking too.

Nice. Was it covered under warranty? I don't expect a reply for a few days, you have 49 days worth of driving to catch up with!

I'd take the results with a pinch of salt. You can never get a definitive result. I don't like the TT at all really, so I would rate it lower, even though I know it is a great car.

Who's fault I'd be heartbroken .

Whilst I shouldn't, I do tend prejudge people based on their writing ability. I think it is just something I do as I always enjoyed doing creative writing assignments and also, I work in a job where generally a badly written report will be thrown back at me in a heartbeat by my supervisor. I don't have the best English skills in the world, but people should be able to or at least attempt to use proper grammar. There are those who, through no fault of their own can't do it as well (dyslexia etc). However I work with a guy who is near the top end of the spectrum in regards to dyslexia and he can still generally write very well, he just has to concentrate a lot harder. I've never been one to use text speak, mainly because I can rarely understand it myself and also phones like the iPhone basically remove the need for it. It was only really created because it used to take so long to type a text message and the limitations on how many characters could be put in a text. I do, on occasion use abbreviations for phrases though (lol, BTW, CBA etc). I am only 23 myself, and I would say less than half of people I work with of the same age use bad grammar or text speak when doing paperwork or other written work. I have seen some diabolical work in the past though, which the supervisor was stunned at. I have a friend however who is in university and some of the work I have proof read for her friends is horrendous. I think the best (or worst?) example of "txt spk"was from Ali G - In Da House: "lnk cr b82rez 2g4" "Link car batteries together"

How can they compare cars which vary in price by up to £26k... They should really compare the 370Z with a TT, Boxster and a BMW all in the same price range. The again according to Audi's website, for £35k you get a 2.0L engine... The same price for a Boxster gets you a 2.8L etc etc. That would be a better comparison in regards of value for money.

Got mine done at £60 each including VAT. Not as cheap as I would like, but the place is around the corner so was more a convenience.

Would look good on a track I suppose... I'd lose the rear seats (all the interior) and turn it into a track day car, I would be too embarrassed to drive that to work . -
I have sensors and they are a great extra, I would 100% get them if I didn't already. I rarely ever use my rear view mirror though when reversing, I've always been one to use the wing mirrors for everything.

In my opinion, the 370z is a lot of car for the money. £25k will buy you a very nice 370z indeed. Compared to the Z4, TT or Boxsters, I think you would get a much nicer car for your budget. The husband of a girl I work with just got a second hand TT for the same cash I paid for my 350z and it less grunt, less gadgets and is 3 or 4 years older than my car.

Interesting. So other than limiting your speed, does slow mode do anything else? Like tweak traction control etc?
