Looks really nice. that red is such a nice colour. did this bloke get you spraying his whole kitchen then? my boss brought in some spray guns a few months ago with the idea that we could spray our own electrical panels. he said i can use it whenever i want so i might give it a go. will have to try out on something not Z related to get the hang of it first. before you tell me off i'm aware of the dangers and precautions required when spraying

I get a lot of different reactions. i was only 22 when i got the car and a lot of people look at me as though i have either knicked it or as though i'm a spoiled brat. especially as i bought it with a private palte allready on - neither is the case, i'm just now skint permanently when i first got the car, my family were asking if its a fanny magnet, but in reality it probably the perfect car for pulling blokes in socks and sandal have had a few people asking me what it is, asking the spec and MPG ^^ the guy in my local filling station loves it. had a little kiddo looking at it with his dad once. he saw the Z badges and asked him if it was a Zonda... hehe. was happy to show him around it. some people hear me coming, even when im not going quickly and as a result have a face like a slapped arse as i go past, but these are probably the same people that think its perfectly considerate to cruise along an A-road at 35 mph. I sometimes get amuzing reactions from people in the passenger seat. usually giggling or clenching, sometimes both in general though, i often let people out and im allways the first to start reversing if i meet someone on a back lane so its usually just a friendly wave or a nod. oh, and you can't forget the boy racers in saxos and 106s who think that people in sports cars dont know how to drive them.

I'm not a big GP follower but he was such a cool guy. looked like such a freak accident, as though he had leant too far off the bike and was struggling to get back up. Motorsport will allways have an element of risk. flying round on the edge of control on the fastest vehicles in the world will never be completely safeIts such a shame when there is loss of life. I guess it just shows the bravery these guys have in the first place. We just have to thankful that due to the safety rules in place these days, incodents like this are usually few an far between. anyone familliar with 60s and 70s formula one will know what i'm talking about RIP

Thats nice, did you have to sand the pklenum first?

2.6 mpg - 2.8 mpg during motorway driving??????
CrumbMC replied to nickmick's topic in 350Z Technical
Is the fuel system even capable of pumping that much fuel through? i completely rung the neck out of my Z in the fist month of owernship and the MPG was still in the mid teens. few solutions: its actually 22.8 mpg - this is an entirely normal figure software or sensor error hole in fuel tank / fuel system Youre driving flat out in 1st everywhere Try resetting it and se what happens -
I love a good coaster. only been to the states once and that was a BUSY shark fishing holiday. The roller coasters the have there look awesome! I will have to make it my mission next year to try some new ones out. I've been to Alton towers a few too many times now. might make it my mission to get down to thorpe park next year

I think 452s are ok if your not used to driving hard on a decent tyre. However, if you are used to driving hard on a decent tyre (especially in the wet) then they are horrible. fealt to me like the tread blocks were shimmying around. and in the wet i allways found myself approacing corners with slight camber or greasy surface with a 'cling on for dear life' expression on my face Money is often a big issue when it comes to tyre choice in here but IMHO you will get far more enjoyment and performance from having the best tyre you can afford rather than skimp and spend money on other mods. I bet my pretty much standard Zed on MPS3s would leave many of the slightly modified Zeds running on falkens in here for dead in the twisties. I have tried lots of different brands of tyres over the past 5-6 or so years and the ones that stood out were goodyear F1s and my favourite was the Michelin Pilot-sport 3. i have to say the 452s were the 2nd worst only to the crappy Kaisers (no i hadent heard of them neither) that came on my car. i can't settle for anything less now. i'm very tempted to go for the pilot super-sports next but they cost a LOT!!! The above is only my opinion as i'm sure some will disagree but i just think tyres are the most important aspect of a car and the one place where you should not feel guilty about buying the best you can.

Beatifull looking system. are those titanium tips difficult to keep looking nice like that?

Think his career spanned the gap betwen turbo -> N/A cars

Hmmm i want one more now, don't really do much on the motorway and i think i just want some savage beastyness. i want one but may have to wait a couple of months as my CV joint has started clicking and that should take priority. i have allways been conservative with exhaust choices and allways wished i had something a bit louder maybe its time to treat myself.

I really want one of these systems. the price seems good too. Couple of questions: whats the noise like as the system beds in? my Zed is a daily,- I would be perfectly happy with a burble / grumble at low / medium revs and a scream / Rasp / Armaggedon at high revs , and a bit more than stock volume but i couldnt live with somehting that sounds like a Nascar when im in 6th at cruising speed. I have been a little put off by the corrosion issues stated above. can anyone who has had one on for a while please post some pics of how it looks after it's been on a while? Anything other info is welcome. Chris

it's great, i saw it in the cinema. i'm looking forward to watching my mates extended BR edition. I was so tense watching his onboard flying round imola, i knew what was coming and could hardly watch it. I remember being a little whipper snapper and my dad being quite distrought when watching it, we did have his last race recorded on VHS but my brother taped over it with the simpsons when he was a lad Such a shame but an icon who will be forever rememberd in motorsport.

Forza 4 is such a good game!!! after all the forza 3 vs GT5 (even though F3 was out ages before) i think its safe to say F4 has stepped the game up now!! FINALLY TURN-IN OVERSTEER ON A DRIVING SIM HOW LONG DID IT HAVE TO TAKE!!!!!!! only annoying thing is the odd bowling pin event on the TG track but i'll forgive them for that. i don't get how i can feel the what the car's doing through the seat of my pants when im sat on a chair holding a controller, hats off to the designers for that. anyway, my tag is Crumb MC (i think, maybe CrumbMC) 1. I have allways tried my hardest to like Hamilton. I think he is the most capable at getting the most one lap pace out of a car. i love his driving style aswell, steering with the throttle. That said he is a winnet and his attitude has been terrible recently. IMHO the fact that he came into F1 in the fastest car has given him a bit of a spoilt kid attitude. he needs to grow up and stop being such a bitch.
-
yeah that was kinda what i was getting at. thats a good point about the aero, if you guys have been focusing developement on straight line speed, (where you were weekest) and Mclaren focussing on high downforce, that would explain a lot. i would have though Mclaren would have been strong at spa and monza and RB at sazuka. it seems that in the race to eliminate the weeker areas of their cars, the strengths of each teams seem to have swapped over. mid season developement is such a strong factor in performance these days and something that the newer teams need to work on. congrats to lotus though, finishing their first race with both cars on the leading lap. hope they are with the mid-field next year. McLaren seem to be the best at developement, they just need to get their heads down and get a decent car at the start of the season

thanks for the replies, i ordered some Silkolene PRO S 5W-30 from opie oils a couple of hours ago. have a oil filter at home ready to go for my oil change when it arrives.

Yeah, McLaren had AWESOME pit stops yesterday aswell. must have been < 3 seconds

They all do it, alonso did it to vettell in monza, schumi does it a LOT, button did it to lewis in canada, lewis to kobayashi in spa. they all do it. against a wall or if you're completely side by side dueling i can see why people get annoyed but theres nothing wrong with closing the door, especially at the start of a race like that. if youre behind someone (button was hardly side by side with him at this point) you should be ready to back out of it. These guys are competitifve racers. What i find strange is that everyone loves Senna for that attitude he had but when someone shows even a hint of aggression these days, everyone squeels for a penalty. That said, a well deserved victory for Jenson, and a well deserved Championship for Vetel. He might have the fastest car but you can't take anythign away from Vettel, he is a great driver and has really matured this season, If you want to see evidence that it's not just the car look at webber's relative performance this season.

found this after utilising the search function. is 5L enough?

lol. that was a longshot hoping we would get that isnt it
