If really thought McLaren would have put on a stepped nose by now. if they qualy highest with a nice looking car then the rest of the field are going to look a bit stupid. I'm also looking forward to watching the rookies race. the battle between Diresta and hulkenburg will be a good one aswell. EXCITED!!!

I know the practise / shakedown times arent anything to go by but Vettel is topping the times in Barcalona. I'm slightly dissapointed that they arent showing this stuff on the sky F1 channel but nevermind

Popped up in my Youtube subscription today. Looks great and makes me want to trade in my 350

I have a theory regarding McLaren Whats the chances that they will be running a car with a stepped nose? just came to me that they might have just put a good looking nose on to please the press on release only to swap it out for a stepped nose when they come to drive it properly

Starting with Torro Rosso. i think they have made the right decision didtching their 2 drivers. the whole RB young driver program is about find the best drivers in the world. i remember watching Riciardo make mincemeat of his opposition in F3. these are the drivers that redbull gets under their wraps quickly. obviousley as you workt your way up the formulas the group whittles down untill you have a few hopefulls for F1. who either lay down their mark immediately (take vettel for example who embarrassed the field in a torro rosso in a wet race in monza) or alguasari and Buemi who despite their more recent hike in performance are no more than average drivers. If you have a sister team you want to use it to find the next world champion, not ween a couple of so-so drivers. especially when you have access to the amount of potentially brilliant drivers that RB have. No doubt in my mind that Mclaren will be fast. they have proved for years that they are one of- if not 'the' best at developement, and given the minor regs changes this year it really plays towards them. the car may not look that different but in F1 the smallest change can make a huge difference. looking at a few pics from the internet doesnt really tell us much, how ever brainy and knowledgeable we may think we are. Red Bull will obvioulsey fast building on their success last year. i would put my money on Vettel for another championship. Too much to talk about, too little time. that's enough for this evening. Can't wait for motorsport season!!!!

You sure?! That would make the MPSS the absolute no brain bargain of the century if they're now that cheap! You do mean the inferior PS3 and not the PS2, right? £194.90 for a rear PSS in 40 profile and £187 for a PS3 now on camskill. the PSS was well over £200 when i got my last rear PS3s. now there is only a £7 difference between the 2 which is peanuts if the difference really is as big as you say it is. the contis are quite a bit cheaper. was thinking of trying them out but i don't want to regret it.

i noticed that for another year on the trott evo have handed their tyre of the year award to the continental sport contact 3. seemed to outperform the competition in all areas, allthough my current tyre, the PS3 was rated the best for the way it fealt and inspired confidence on the road. Anyway, some time over the next few months i will be putting all 4 new shoes on the Zed. a full set of CSC3s is £660 from camskill. which is considerably cheaper than the michelin PS3 (also noticed that the MPSS has dropped to around the same price as the MPS3) Also i struggled to find the MPS3 in a 45 profile so have been running a 40 for the last year. allthough i think on some roads this has improved road holding, i am interested to see if it will improve the ride going back to a 45. Anyway. has anyone ever run contisportcontact 3s, and if so what is you're opinion on how they run on a 350Z? Thanks Chris

Remember folks, that the 265 trophy is the most capable FWD hot hatch ever! i know i would be in the market for one if i had to have more seats and a boot. in dry conditions it would have been closer but i wouldn't put a dea cert on the Zed winning. But i'd rather have the RWD coupe anyday.

The reason why there aren't any male Agony Aunts? "Dear Pete, I left home for work last week and after less than a mile my car stalled and wouldn't start. I walked back to our home only to find my 18 year old babysitter handcuffed to the bed in stockings and suspenders & my husband knelt behind her doing her doggy style. They said that the affair had been going on for about two years and that they were deeply in love! Can you help? I'm devastated and don't know what to do! "Dear Mary, The most common cause of vehicles breaking down in the first mile is dirt in the fuel lines. If not then it may be the alternator. I hope this advice helps, Pete."

nearly bought one of the bubbly shaped micras for a shed this year but they go for more than i was expecting. their valuation as a reliable shed must be pretty good

yes but for me the only reason to have more money is to buy better cars so thats ok with me

Quite interesting reading all this. I don't have much experience on the matter but i got my 350z as its a great compriise between performance, cost, looks and everyday refinement. If i had a second car that i use for commuting then refinement and to some extent looks are obselete so i would be looking for something else I would be looking at a caterham or similar, an elise or VX220. or an MR2 if i didn't want to spend loads I would not get a FWD car as in my opionion FWD is a comprimise for extra space in a car. works well in a fun hot hatch for the road but it will allways be a compramise. As much as i love my Zed, and it is a very fun car to drive, i would not get one for a track car because i think the cost to get it up to track stanndard and run it on track would be too great. But i say if you can afford to run it, and want a decent sized engine go for it. noise is one of the joys of driving and the Zeds V6 has a great sound with some minor modifications. It will be fun but i woud consider this: I have reduced a set of standard brake pads to smoke and often find the limits to the Zeds chassis set up on fast road driving so i would get that sorted before tracking it as it's bound to be even more punishing on these components in particular. especially if you're putting 888s on

any idea what fitting costs would be for this?

I noticed a small column in evo mag this month about AVON tyres saying they were pretty good. i go to watch quite a bit of racing and they seem to sponsor and supply tyres for a few british champoionships. Just wondering if they can hold a candle to the best tyres on the market so if you have sampled them post away

it has turbo xs test pies and maybe a pop charger Edit: and a gemini ofc

Im not a massive fan of black wheels unless they are on a black or yellow car, even then they have to be the right wheel and finish. Im probably gonna go with anarchite centres and silver rims when i get mine done in the spring. If i had a little no-apologies toy car like an elise or something then i would deffos think about getting mental couloured wheels with some matching trim, so long as the body was a plain-ish coulour. bit like the GT3 RS i posted on the last page
