To be honest 9k is a lot for any pre-facelift car. some people really don't know what cars are worth these days unfortunately
-
It was 3M mate. it went a bit darker and nice and glossy like in the pic EDIT: was still half asleep this morning when i wrote that. the LACQUER was Halfords own (in the section where they have all the car body paints) , the VINYL was 3M
-
It's fairly easy, just take your time and have a hairdryer / heatgun handy. i used 3m on the outside of my last car and it lasted well till i sold it. i did lacquer it though. First thing i ever wrapped, was quite a complex shape to do for my first go so if i can do it anyone can.

as soon as i heard him say 'aks' i hoped a 18 wheeler would come ploughing through it. does look nice though but too much effort too look after

Gave the SLK a superdupper wash this morning

Hmm that pic is a good contender to replace my muciellago SV burnout wallpaper. -
same as mine but mine has lower mileage and RAYS. as people have said, non-GTs are harder to sell. trade in you would get less than 6k for it, if you get offered more than this on trade (if you trade) i would bite their hand off I would put it up at around 6.2k if you want a quick private sale, then you can always negotiate down to 6k. Zeds have taken quite a hit on price in the last year from what i've seen.

I struggle to stream in 360p if its a peek time. guess thats the price i pay for living in cumbria
-
You might get a cheap or used Y-pipe back system for that price but your options are quite limited. At that price you're probably best looking at a used scorpion system. he provided me with a good service when i was chosing a system or view his range here http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/350z-exhaust-systems.aspx

I wrapped a few things on my old golf with 3M carbon wrap. i sprayed halfords laquer on and it turned it a really deep colour. i think it looked great. I dont know how it would work with other brands of stuff though Example:

I normally get about 270-275 miles to a tank thats ran down to about 10 Miles to empty. i have a work van for my commute these days though so i dont feel bad about it Allthough on a drive from south cumbria - birmingham - few miles around birmingham - silverstonne - back to birmingham (playing with a few GT1 fans on the way back) then back to cumbria i averaged 32mpg. a record for me in the Z. i maybe could have made it on one tank but i bottled it before i got back. That's when i discovered that audiobook + long motorway drive = very low fuel consumption
-
I think you must have either had bad luck or something wrong with your setup. a lot of people run over 300BHP on the standard internals of the 20VT engine. 350BHP is maybe pushing it a bit but it has been done reliably by quite a few people on uk-mkivs. Also in my experience with REVO liscenced companies their dynos are normally VERY optamistic.

Interesting read all of this. I'm 23 and still allways get IDed in most shops, even if they saw me pull up outside in the Z 30 seconds earlier. That said i still have lots of energy and don't mind the smell of horse wee

I actually laughed my ass off sitting at my PC then. that hasn't happened for a while. brilliant!

I like everyday normal guy, heard that a while back but some of the others seem a bit odd.

I had a similar problem when i first picked up my car. but mine was caused by the tyres they had put on the car for it's MOT. But if you have stock tyres all round then it wont be this. Still i feel for you because it is F$%^ing scary!!!!!

Well get this, On the second year insuring my golf GTi i switched insurer from admiral for cost and service reasons. I tried to make a claim against a farmer and they were useless but thats another story. anyway i found a better value insurer and rang up and cancelled the renewal. A few weeks later i get a phone call of my dad saying that admiral had just taken £900 from his credit card that i had used to pay for the previous years insurance. (i only had a £500 limit on mine at the time). Not only this but when i rang them up they accused me of trying to swindle a months free insurance from them Absolutely hopeless for customer service, and as you said, they are happy to ring you up (happened 3 times on this years renewal) to flog you crap you don't want but they are useless. EDIT: looks like rabbit beat me to my story

Yeah Hamilton seems to be in a good place this year. shame the team let him down this weekend. Looks like he's trying to play the Alain Prost points game but i think he's to 'old-skool racer' to resist a good overtake if it presents himself.

I replaced mine and it still clicks so im going to try this

Also regarding Rosberg's incidents. At first i thought it was worthy of a penalty but having watched the replays, Rosberg was within his rights to defend the inside line and lewis was a bit cheeky carrying on overtaking off the track. He was not yet alongside Nico when he moved to the inside, a move which any racing driver would have done to defend the position. the rules clearly state that one move is allowed to defend, then you can move back onto the racing line. just because someone is closing on you doesnt mean you can no longer do it. Same with alonso. Also you have to remember that in the world of racing, poking your nose up the inside does not mean that you are entitled to that piece of race track. unless you are fully alongside each other then the driver on the racing line is entitled to drive where he pleases. - this is what got hamilton into a lot of trouble last year

It seems that getting the correct race setup for the tyres is 95% of what wins the race. Lotus and RB looked very good on high fuel runs on friday. partly by luck they had very similar temperatures for the race and that performance in practise really shone through. China was the same story with mercedes. I think it's time jenson stopped making excuses for his inconsistancy. yes he is very good when he has what he describes as the perfect setup, but his tolerances are so fine, and if he is not within them then he is pretty hopeless and just whines about the car being undrivable. On the other hand, drivers such as alonso can win races in a car that clearly has a very poor setup. I do find it funny how Ferrari is famous for building modern road cars with immense traction yet their F1 car seems to be lower-mid-field at best in this area. I hope RB dont run away with the season now. They seem to have made a big step forward with their developement this weekend and they can only build on this. I dont remember the last time the racing was so close and it would be a shame if one of the teams ran away with it. Kimi showed his talent this weekend, its just a shame he satarted so far back or we could have had a real battle for first on our hands. Was also nice to see Grojean on the podium. He is a really good driver and was a bit tarnished by his performance when he first got thrown into an F1 car mid season.

Yeah i noticed that too, but at least he talks sense most of the time unlike bloody legard. He was just unbareable. The Kovelinen / petrov thing was confusing

You say they aren't that great but they are by far the best tyre out of eagle f1s, RE040 and FK452 that i've had so far. They may not be as good as the supersport but in many cases i think they outperform the chassis of the Z. I'll have a look into the VUS though, just don't want to spend a load of cash and be dissapointed eagle f1 gsd3's are probably my favourite tyre so far.. It really depends on how you're judging the tyre. I know Ekona and myself usually think about how it handles the driving on track and very enthusiastic driving. Whereas others may think of it in terms of normal daily driving. I haven't used them on track so lap times etc are irrelevant to me, but i find the limits to be very explorable in all conditions on the road. I must admit that the rears have worn very quickly but this may be more down to the limit exploration than the tyres durability.

Can't make my mind up about what to go for next. not only that but im loving the borderline wear markered rears at the moment, so much fun to be had Might try something slightly cheaper than the MPS3s i had on last time. i'm not overly fussed about out-and-out grip but i want to know exactly what is going on with the tyres at all times. bit of a dilemma really because that is the part of tyre reviews that's normally topped by the PS3 dilemma

Just follow points 1-3 & all will be fine If not, PM Keyser I find lack of tools / space / other vehicle to use while i'm destroying mine is the main hold up, i'll happily change my brakes and easily bolted on stuff but not everyone has a pit in their garage, let alone a garage at all
