Well done! I just saw the title of this thread and it reminded me of a joke that not many on here will understand but you should. Two pies in the oven; One pie says, "Hi mate, I'm Fray Bentos" The other pie replies, "Oh are ya, i'm frey Wigton."

Well, It's 4 O'Clock and i haven't recieved a response from them, Which is rather dissapointing. I will look into those things that you suggested above. But, even though i do get incredibly wound up with all the crap they send me, it was more an excuse to write a daft E-mail than a propper attempt to stop the influx of waffle. I might start doing it more often as I rather enjoyed it.

I didnt buy it there I brought, (as in bring), it to them for some work there was an error with an extra word in the postman sentence though which i was a bit gutted about.

I wrote this E-mail to a local Honda dealership earlier. I think it speaks for itself.

An M5 isn't exactly a pin-up car though is it. if you want something that looks nice why not get a different diesel saloon?
-
My mates dad got a diesel from the factory with an M5 body. I never understood why

I'm sure that you will get it sorted in the end. it's just a pain in the arse that you have to deal with it. I know someone who had exactly the same thing with double yellow lines. However, being one of those annoying argumentative types, he did some research and found out that because the lines went straight over slotted drain covers without end bars, the yellow lines weren't deemed to be unbroken so they technically don't mean anything. Needless to say that he got off and the council were out shortly after repainting the lines

I dont think so. Just beacause of a 1cm difference you nearly spun out. I drove a good 10k miles without a hiccup. I wouldn't have thought it would be so bad on the Z to have a little more up front. even when deep trail braking with all the weight over the front the car still has a slightly understeery balance and this is when pushing very hard. As we all know most cars come set up like this from the factory to make them safer. If anything i would have thought a slight increase in rubber on the front would improve the balance of the car.

Would be between the lambo and R8 for me. The R8 is dubbed by many as one of the most precise and well executed drivers cars to have ever existed. However the lambo is a bit more bonkers and would tackle your senses a a lot more. Not that i've ever driven either. If it was a GT3 porka though i would take that hands down

U don't have to go mad but phone pics can sometimes come out a bit fuzzy and the car doesn't stand out and can look dirty.

heehee, we've all been there

When i advertised my car on PH about 18 months ago you could pay a small fee for an add or have a free one which doesn';t appear till after the buyer has scrolled through all the paid ones. still if its up there it's better than nowt. I would wax the car and borrow a decent camera. Shiny pics always get much more views than dull ones.

I so want one of these and I'm not really sure why

I WANT ONE!!! -
350Chris, that is my name on the evo forum... very confusing I used the Blue velvet on my gun metal Z and it looks grate. Repels water really well. It has been on about a month (although not driven much) still shakes off water and muck remarkably well. Can't comment on the other products though as i haven't used them. Also it smells amazing I would recommend the DJ finger mit things for applying it. cheap and work really well. i got my car done in no time at all. this guy reccomends sealent for protection and harder waxes for looks. i have never used sealent but i might give it a try some time.

Your post reminded me off this exchange of messages between 2 neighbours http://www.27bslash6.com/halogen.html I wouldn't suggest going about it this way but it is very funny

Rename title to "heated tyre debate thread" Nevertheless: In my experience with the Z on mixed tyres (as i bought it) the worst thing is the was the safety systems react to it. The 2nd day owned my Z i took it for a drive with mixed tyres in the wet. the systems went berzerk and started grabbing at different corners. it was very scary. I changed the tyres right away and will never look back. That said anyone planning driving enthusiastically in the wet with 452s on is asking for trouble. from my experience running them on my old car they don't like even slightly damp conditions. Hope you get your car sorted soon mate. mines off the road for now from damage caused by some chavs and it's driving me crazy not being able to drive it

Haven't heard from the police today so i will be giving them a call in the morning as i don't want the little knobheads getting off Scott free. I called Admiral today to ask what would happen if i did claim. (i made sure not to say what had happened or how much it would cost etc) they said that a claim would knock my NCB down by 2 from 6 to 3. this apparently is because 5 is the maximum The guy at the call centre also 'had to' inform me that because i rang up asking about how i would go about making a claim, that they would be making a record of this and it would be taken into account when they offered me a renewal. - looks like i'll be changing insurer then. Thanks for the offers for parts etc. i was going to have a go at the scratches n the door today but its peeing down so that will have to wait.
-
I'll also call my insurers tomorrow but it's admiral, and going from previous experience, i can't imagine they will be very easy to deal with. think i will go for a slightly more expensive but better insurance deal next time
-
Yes i will be VERY annoyed if the police don't do something about this. There were some other victims from the same car park in the police station who were not so much bothered about damage, they just wanted to make sure that the police were following everything up. That said, so far the police have been quite good, they left a note for all the affected owners and have spent most of today taking statements etc. I just hope they can hand out a fair punishment. The amount of damage done means that it may well be classed as a serious offense but at the same time because there was 5 of them they might all blame each other and make things very difficult for the police. I think i may be able to repair the passenger mirror as its only broken on the plastic threads that fasten it to the door. The drivers one is a bit more of a mess though so you may well be hearing from me soon Alex.

I was waiting for someone to post that smiley That was the plan however I was going to wait until i have spoken to the police. In the unlikrly event that the damage is going to be paid for then I'll just take it to a body shop and let them sort it out.

Yeah but i'm 23 and going from 6 years no-claims to 0 may result in an insurance premium well into the thousands

I returned to my car this morning to find a this: Some little scrotes had trashed 16 vehicles in the same car park. They obviously were just doing it for 'fun' and had walked around every car in that area and kicked / pulled bits off. although it looks like mine got the worst. both door mirrors smashed off and scratches in a few areas about the car. The worst of which is on the off side door where it looks like someones gravelly shoe has scuffed it over an area about the size of my hand. that's what the pic shows but not very well. All 5 of the lads who did it jumped into a car which was pulled over after a witness gave a policeman the cars reg. They were arrested and spent the night in a cell. When i went in to give a statement the copper said that they were trying to get them to plead guilty with a 'conditional caution'. One of the conditions may be that they have to pay for the damage. Obviously I would rather they throw the book at them as it was a totally mindless act of vandolism that demonstrates that they have no respect for peoples property. I'm waiting for a phone call off the police, hopefully tomorrow. I'm also going to get a quote for repairing all the damage tomorrow, which including the scratches will be a LOT. However, given the amount of damage done to other vehicles and the slack nature of our justice system I have a feeling I'm going to end up paying for it myself, so some of you traders may be getting some PMs off me for mirrors some time soon If any of you have any advise on how i could get this damage paid for without claiming on my insurance then please let me know. Chris

Grosjean is an awesome talent. He dominated GP2 and seems to have had no problem carrying his skills over to F1 this time around. He just needs to keep his nose clean and he should get a win this season. The car clearly has the pace for it. Especially in race trim.
