  1. powerslides! enjoy... I'm jelous.
  2. Where do you think that one came from?
  3. Looks nice but needs a bit of dirt
  4. I had DBA discs and Ferrodo ds2500 pads with stock fluid, 3 laps of oulton and i had no brakes (at druids) Swapped to motul fluid and i have no fade at all. However a set of front pads only lasts me one day there. Swapped to EBC blue stuff and HKS lines all round now but I haven't tested them yet
  5. Hehe. I'll try to restrain myself. Bracing myself for the regurgitated (often not true) car trivia that everyone comes out with after each episode.
  6. Nice read. looks great. can't wait to get myself a shed and start destroying things myself. You'll have to get your finger out now so I have something to read tomorrow night
  7. I changed from admiral to elephant yesterday. I know they are sister companies but i was sick of admiral and didn't want to give them any more of my money, directly. When I rang up to cancel it and they asked, "what could they do to make me stay?" I said, "hows about you give me a fair price on my renewal rather than try and rip me off and hope I don't notice that your taking me to the cleaners." I got a laugh of the girl on the other side of the phone - must happen a lot. I know they might have beaten the quote from elephant but I had sour grapes. Best part was when I rang elephant after getting a quote of the meerkat I actually got the price down another £40. was very pleased turns out i got it £250 cheaper than was quoted in my renewal.
  8. The people in the royal guards uniform (or whatever they were) had me in stitches!
  9. I know it's low mileage but as others have said it's too expensive. I wouldn't give anyone over 7.5k for a 2005 Z regardless of mileage. If they wont take that, walk away and get one privately. Dealers seem to be going for huge margins on 350Zs at the moment. there are plenty of people with really nice examples to sell who don't want to be stung by lousy trade-ins. the way i see it, your paying an extra 2 grand for a years warranty. Is it really worth it?

I would stay away from the 307. i think rabbit stew has been lucky. my parents had one and also my mate. both of them blew 2 turbos each within a period of about 18 months. £1400 quid will get you more than a shed. I have a mate who wont spend over 300 quid on a car. he just buys them with an ~MOT and runs them for a year

i was curious so just had a look on youtube
  12. Price is fair but he'll only sell it if someone is searching for that exact car, which is unlikely. Most people looking to spend that much wont consider a 350Z. Also someone looking for a finished project would probably want one with uprated suspension. I know that If i was spending that much i'd be going for a Cayman.
  13. looking for these "front Cat gaskets part number nissan 20813AL50A" in new or VERY good condition. i have some old ones that i can use if i cant find new but if anyone has any please let me know. Tried to get some from the dealership but they are on back order
  14. I really want Stefano Domenicali's glasses!
  15. I really want to go over to Europe for some trackdays / alpine blasts but none of my friends have decent cars or any interest / track experience. Might be going back to spa or LeMans this year though. Will have to convince my mate that we're better in the Z than his yaris Good luck and all the best
  16. That's where i keep my racing gloves get sweaty hands on trackdays and i don't want to forget them. I also keep CDs in there which i haven't listened to since i bought the car. Can anyone confirm this factoid - the passenger seat is mounted lower than the driver's. It certainly feels like it!
  17. Well. I tried most methods that were shown but couldn't fix it. it was about 11:00, dark and started to rain. Also i think my neighbours thought someone was trying to steal my car so I called it a night. The mechanic at the MOT test station (after laughing at me getting out of the passenger door) got it open and fixed it for me. The car passed with no advisories. Unfortunately I picked up the car quite late so I didn't get the chance to ask how how he did it. Thanks for all the suggestions. My 2p: I couldn't for the life of me get the door card off with the door closed so I would have thought the slim-jim, open door, door card off and fix method would be best. However, if your not a mechanic, (or a car thief) slim-jimming isn't as easy as it looks in the movies.
  18. Hmmm. Got all of the screw out of the door card but i don't think it can physically come off without the door being open as it goes between the door panel and the B pillar. (at least it looks this way on the passenger one.) Got a feeling that the door card will have to be cut or drilled or something so that i can get to the mechanism. I'm not going to do that tonight though. If any of you can think of a solution to this before tomorrow please speak up and i will forever be in your debt.
  19. My drivers door won't open, Noooooo. NIGHTMARE! MOT tomorrow. I was parked right up to my hedge as well so had to climb in the boot to move it out. There is no resistance in the handles so I suspect something is broken in the mechanism. i can hear the locks moving when i blip the key so its not that. Anyone know if i can get my MOT done with this problem?
  20. You been looking at my search history?
  21. Nice read this. Would love to take the FI plunge some day. Keyser have you uploaded any videos anywhere?
