  1. I bet Helmut Marko is loving all these "politics"
  2. Awesome mate. Can't beat a good pic heavy diy thread. Best of luck with the rest of the install
  3. They are awesome aren't they. When people talk about falkens being a good tyre they need to try the SS then rethink their opinion of a good tyre there is just no comparison. Also should the thread title not be mpss not mpps? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Left the fridge door open..... Haha. Must have a fridge full of fillet steaks! Glad you all liked it. Cragus, you lucky bugger!
  5. This has been one of my favourite videos for years. I just found this remastered and extended version. Simon drives it like a propper badass!
  6. That sounds like a good prediction. I guess it depends a lot on whether Ferarri have upped their game again this year. If their car is competitive (not necessarily the fastest) then i would say Alonso for
  7. One would assume Honda, such as mentioned in that thread. we can only guess though. "Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug believes the sport will enter the new era with just three engine brands on the grid." - I thought old Norby had stepped down?
  8. Good post that, and i agree with both of them. Also i'm sick of all this stuff i read about, "Vettel is crap, he only wins because he has a fast car." This is a load of Bollocks. He is an extremely competant driver. Webber's pretty handy and Vettel often makes him look daft in terms of pace. and he has shown numerous time s that he CAN race from the back. Think this is quite true, (from the comments section in that article): "Hamilton- Fastest man out there i think atm , seems on very good form. However acts like a 16' year old, makes stupid decisions, draws the wrong kind of attention to himself. If lewis becomes more composed and calculated then he will win more WDC." I'm interested to see how Perez will get on at Mclaren. Apparently Lotus spotted this picture from Kimi's Ferrari days and are planning a similar mod on the lotus. They reckon it could gain them upwards of a second:
  9. always brim it then run it down, so between 75-79 litres goes in. what's all this 400 miles crap? I normally get about 275
  10. I think someone is sending me death threats. Woke up this morning with a tesco burger on my pillow
  11. Good to hear it. that's going on the shopping list!
  12. After sliding into my foot-well in heavy braking zones i started searching for a solution and found this (it's the first pic i found... honest.) The idea is that it holds the lap belt part in place so that you stay secure in your seat. It's completely removable and supposedly used by the stig when he does his TG lap times. They're not cheap at around 40 quid but i think it could be a great compromise for a bit of extra holding in the seat without going for buckets and harnesses. what are your thoughts?
  13. I've driven with worn syncros before. this does work. Don't rush the gears, just wait for the RPM to drop a bit. and it's fine. I've read a bit about the syncros on the DE engine cars being crap. The general consensus is , if you're going to replace the box. you're best getting one out of a 2006 DE engined car as they have a better syncro design.
  14. A singer 911 has been in my dream garage since i first heard about them. Dickie Meaden's review in evo a couple of months ago only made me want it more. Now monkey has driven one (a much appreciated half hour episode at that) i think i might have to find a way of stealing one, or stealing some cash and buying one. I also loved the 911 Belgian rally car he drove a while back. That thing was a propper monster!
  15. Nice hand. always more satisfying when you have an awesome hand, and someone else has something that is really good but not quite as good.
  16. I've been mulling over this for a while too, although i don't care about stance, i just want to sharpen the car up. I've noticed that nobody who has put eibach lowering springs on has mentioned dampers. from what i have read up about, lowing a car on springs means the dampers should be changed also otherwise they are in constant compression and they wear much faster If this isn't true then perhaps the Bilsteins i had on my golf were a bit of a waste of $$$ (even though they were awesome)
  17. my car with invidia Gemini, only vid I've got sorry Does sound really nice, and not too loud when u don't want it to be. TBH I don't think you can go wrong with either system.
  18. Glad you like it Wasso. The Agera R is probably my favourite car right now. I always loved the CCR as well. The guy is a legend. Tonight's episode:
  19. I will try to remember to post each video out of the series on this thread. Fans of the drive network may have already seen this but i think it's a fantastic insight into one of the great minds in the supercar world. The next episode is due out tonight (i think). here's a link to the last one. Also here's a link to a Film they did about koenigsegg last season If your a fan of Chris Harris' reviews (if you're not then you should be) he also uploads regular content on the drive channel. you should check it out. There other features are great too.
  20. That does seem unfair. when i was working in preston there was a similar situation on a roundabout near the M65. if you left a gap for people to go round then others just dive in front of you and you end up sat there all day, so your only option is to block people who are trying to go round the other way. I stand by my original post though. The hatchings in the OP may well be poorly designed but some people would stop on them even if they were designed perfectly.
  21. Most drivers day dream their way along the roads not planning ahead for things like that. It doesn't take an abnormally long hatched area to get people to stop in it. Give your average granny in a Kia a 2m long keep clear area and i guarantee you they will stop in it. Sounds like that one is maybe a bit harsh but something has to be done to wake people up
