Sure i saw someone mention this the other day, maybe it was you though. Did you get close enough to punch Richard Hammond? If so can you send me the link where you apply -
Theres someone who knows his customer base all too well

I don't really care about any of these news scandals that have been dug up from the past. every morning, "new evidence in the trial about such and such who nobody cared about until they heard his name in the news constantly for the past three weeks." Yawwwnnn!! This is why i have only bought about 3 tabloids in my life and listen to my exhaust in the Z and audiobooks or music (not radio) in my work van. At risk of sounding a bit like president Logan out of 24, wouldn't the world be a better place if the news didn't rummage around in this story and everyone still viewed Armstrong as an incredible athlete? - which he was, despite the doping. Instead there are probably a load of cyclists who have had their role model tarnished and may have lost inspiration for the sport they love. I know this isn't the necessarily the correct way of thinking, but every time I hear a trivial news story I just wonder to myself - if this wasn't rammed down peoples eyes and ears, would anyone really give a £$%&?

Fast acceleration / breaking = dash board Christmas tree

Do you turn of the TCS and do a lot of power sliding? I have known it to happen because of this. I have also known it to happen when I bought the car and it had the worlds Sh%^est tyres on the back. However the Latter was also very noticable by the terrifying handling, ABS grabbing and the browness of my underwear. Which I guess begs the question, Have you got mismatching tyres or had new tyres fitted recently? If the car feels solid and your driving normally (ie not completely sideways everywhere) then I'm stumped. -
*Custom Anodised Plenum Spacers* £170 (next batch March)
CrumbMC replied to Wasso's topic in Member Traders
Confirmed my order now. Should be some inspiration to finish my half-arsed attempt at polishing my plenum. got some new tools / toys since then though -
Yeah. There are a few people who rally round here and a KTM bike racing team but thats about all i can find. Have been trying to find somewhere that does propper suspension geometry round me for ages. My mate rekons he knows someone who sets up rally cars using the old school string method but that's as far as i have got. think i just need to start calling all the garages i haven't asked yet.

It's between a **** and 2 balls really. Think RS is slightly closer. I think (apart from the roads) i live in the worst place for a keen driver. no race tracks and no decent tuning spots
-
I know a few good mechanics but i don't know of any performance / tuning places or 350z specialists in my area for things such as suspension geometry etc - The nearest Nissan garage is 40 miles away! Also as far as i'm aware the nearest place to get an uprev is RS tuning, which is not exactly close! can anyone in the lake district area recommend somewhere decent or do i just need to move out of the sticks!

+1 if the slip light (the one that flashes when the TC operates) and handbrake light are both on it's probably the fluid level, which could also mean that your pads are low -

+1 Recent Singer 911 piece better than 99% of tv shows. It looks like he's getting the confidence to do near half-hour shows on one subject now, which is just the sort of niche he should be exploiting, and it's great the internet allows him to do that. I thought that at one point but really, it would be a terrible idea. As a youtube show, Chris can do whatever he wants as he has a world-wide audience who can watch the show at their convenience. If he had to fill an hour every week on prime time, there would be more volume than substance. also he would have to appeal to everyone like TG now does. The ratings wouldn't come in from a TV show that delivers propper (slightly nerdy) car reviews, even if they are entertaining like CH's Vids, so he would be told to make a crappy Hammond style review (which in my opinion is just like watching a hollyoaks actor on a green-screen roller coaster ride) just to get more viewers. It would ruin him, and he would either get axed, or become the once great sell-out who has lost the respect of the fans that encouraged him onto the TV in the first place. I do miss his articles in Evo though. you could allways tell a CH review from the first paragraph.

Hammond is just getting worse and worse. I can't stand him. I quite enjoyed the rest of it though, especially the rallying part. IMO: Clarkson is a fool, but quite good at pulling it off most of the time. his part was quite funny. Really enjoyed the rallying with the CGT, Hammond wants shooting in the face.

Its not the car related stuff that makes me cringe, its the totally scripted humour that is so obvious it's uncomfortable. Think of when they filmed the car chase for the sweeney, or the combine harvester snow-mobile, "oh no, i set a man on fire". It got like a poorly acted sitcom. also the acting thick style comedy was just getting over-used. I like a good entertainment show, like TG was a few series ago, but it just started to feel like they were trying too hard. Since his accident Hammond has seems to me like he should be locked in a padded room as well.

The motoring magazine returns. Jeremy Clarkson attempts to build a car that is even smaller than the Peel P50 and then tests it out on the streets of London before pitching his concept in the Dragons' Den. James May puts the Bentley Continental GT Speed through its paces by taking it on a rally stage, while Richard Hammond drives the new Pagani Huayra hypercar before handing it over to the Stig. Golden Globe-winning Homeland star Damian Lewis goes for a spin in the Reasonably Priced Car Sounds like the usual mix of races and cringe full vommitting. I hope Hammond does a propper review of the Huayra though. Chris Harris' will take some beating (The car has been out over half a year now. TG hot off the press as usual!) I hope i'm proven wrong though. if they return to how they were 4/5 seasons ago it will be a good watch. Also bracing myself for every man and his dog talking about the 'new' Pagani tomorrow If all else fails Damian Lewis is cool and will probably be quite entertaining
