I recently bought these genuine Nissan centre caps from a forum member but they are really too small for Rays. They are part number 40342-AU510 and have a diameter of 54mm which I believe is suitable for standard 18" and possibly JDM 17" rims. They will fit Rays as they seem to have the same 50mm inner diameter as the correct caps but the Rays ones I have now are 58mm and just look better. They are used but in excellent condition and you won't be able to tell they're not new once fitted. I paid £14 for them and really just wanting to get my money back. I think postage will be about £2.50 for Recorded.

As much as I love the look of some of the split-rims, polished lips and custom paints seen on members cars I just know that I'd worry about looking after them. I only have the one car and despite having a set of winter Rays I think I would have ended up doing exactly the same as you. I thought it was something only I would do as other members looked on in horror as the polished lips disappeared. How do you feel about the wheels now that you've done some more miles and had the alignment done?
-
Looks very smart, I'm really considering a set myself, why did you decide to lose the polished lips? How does the car drive compared to when you had the Rays with spacers? Are you still running spacers?

I'm after a set of Tein S.Tech springs so if anyone has a decent set left over after an upgrade then I'd be interested. May consider other options if they are a respected brand and the drop is similar, 17mm front, 14mm rear.

I've managed to get 4 from eBay for a good price so only really after 2 good ones now.
-
I say these ones on eBay which might be still available: 350Z RAYS ALLOYS Not a bargain but not too bad if the tyres are a decent brand and you're happy with their lower than standard profile. Might be worth a call to negotiate.

The studs on a Zed have a thread which is M12x1.25, i.e. 12mm (approx. 0.47 inch) diameter and 1.25mm pitch (20.32 threads per inch). You will also need to know the seat that is suitable for your wheels, I believe that the 350Z 18" standard and Rays alloys use a 60° taper seat nut whereas the 370Z Rays 19" use a flat seat nut. You'll probably want to check but from what I can work out you'll want Nissan part number 999H1-A7009 or McGard 24154 for the taper seat, Nissan 999W2-JT000 or McGard 21153 for the flat seat. I'm sure someone will be along soon to correct me if I've got any of that wrong!

I've used Blackboots in Chesham a few times and they've been very good. They've got low entry jacks, touchless tyre removal and are excellent at wheel alignment if you need it. The only downside I've found is that they charge £18 per tyre for fitting if you supply your own. Ignore the tyres and prices they have on their website and drop them an email or call them for prices. I've found their prices to be pretty competitive in the past (not bought Falkens though) and they are also a fitting partner for blackcircles.com so it's worth checking prices on their website too.

Now ALL SOLD. Thanks everyone who showed an interest.

Nissan 350z Winter tyres and Wheels - Full set of 4 Even at the Buy it now price of £500 it's a very cheap option for someone. -
Spotted these on eBay although they're not that close to you I imagine they'd be a fairly cheap option: Nissan 350z Winter tyres and Wheels - Full set of 4

Now on eBay for just £29.99: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260906840648

I bought a spare key from another member on here but never had it cut or reprogrammed as my original spare was found before I got around to it. Haven't posted it in the For Sale section yet but if you've got £18 then it's yours. It's used but in good condition with a new key blank already fitted, a working battery and the electronics inside.

Thought about doing this myself. With 20mm spacers on the front I think they'll go on a 350Z fine although you might want to swap the front tyres for some 245/35R19 otherwise you may have some ESP problems. Here's a photo from someone who's done it already. .

Looking in this Wiki, http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Wheel_Specifications it would suggest the Nismo and Track v2 in the US are this way. No idea why you would or wouldn't want to do it but it's clearly possible.

Bridgestones now definitely sold. Open to offers on the Federal.

Came across these which I thought might be suitable to fine tune an offset without resorting to universal cast spacers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270857273625 The TVR has the same 5x114.3 PCD as the Zed but with a 70.1mm bore and 12.7mm diameter studs compared to our 66.1mm bore and 12mm studs. Seemed like they might be close enough for Zed purposes so I bought a pair to try out: They fitted very well, almost exactly the same outer diameter as the front hub mounting face. There's a little bit of movement as you would expect but once the wheel nuts were done up finger tight it was very easy to centre on the front hub. I didn't try them on the rear, should be much the same but you'd be judging it by eye centring on the wheel face as the rear hub face is much bigger. Thought I'd share in case it helps out anyone else. I believe the seller has three pairs left or you can buy them new from here: http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/store/slug/tuscan-wheel-spacers/

I'm after some good condition Nissan centre caps for standard Rays alloys. I need between 4 and 6 as I have two sets of wheels and only got 2 decent caps and 2 with the black paint coming off the Nissan lettering. I recently bought some good ones from a forum member but they are too small (part number 40342-AU510 55mm possibly for standard 18" or JDM 17" rims) and just don't look right so I will be selling those on. The ones I want are part number 40342-8H700 which I believe are 58mm diameter. ZMANALEX sells them new for £5 per cap which is a fair price but I'm hoping to to pay about half that, I figure there's got to be plenty of people replacing there's for Nismo or Z caps.

The bad news - the Bridgestones are provisionally sold pending collection. The good news - the Federal is still available.

Just bought some used Rays but don't need the tyres they came with. They're all still on the rims but should be getting replaced this week. 2x Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 225/45R18 91W front tyres with about 4mm of tread left on each *SOLD* 1x Federal Super Steel 595 245/45R18 96W rear tyre with just over 6mm of tread left *SOLD* I'm looking for £50 for the pair of fronts and £50 for the single rear, I'm sure someone will let me know if that's too much or too little. Collection from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire or feel free to arrange your own courier.

I need to replace a lost key for my 57 plate UK Zed and was just going to buy a replacement off eBay the same as others have done. However, I can't seem to find an answer to the question asked by kazman, do you need to go through the process with both the original working key and the new one or just the new one? Anyone work it out?

Help me keep my 350Z dream!

Hi alessandro, good to see at least one local on here! Yes, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for members cars becoming available, just a question of the right car coming up at the right price so looking all over the place at the moment. -

Thanks, that's good to know, I'll keep an eye on their stock then. My main concern would still be that paint and bodywork damage can't always be seen even in fairly high res photos, but I do like the fact that they don't tart them up so I can what they're really like and make my own judgement on what needs doing and get it done properly.
