  1. drop links, compression arm bushes to name a couple
  2. the handling is supposed to be terrible... i know clarkson ripped it apart for that but have heard it from a couple of people now that the suspension is really bad...... worth a test drive though i guess
  3. A Tesco burger walks into a bar. "Pint please". "I can't hear you" says the barman. "Sorry" replies the burger. "I'm a little bit horse".
  4. lets make a burger!!!! lol
  5. horsemeat has been found in Tesco Products! a spokesman for the company says It's bollocks
  6. its no joke really... a mate of mine ate one and ended up in hospital!!!!!! its ok though as hes now in a stable condition
  7. just back from Tesco and the shelves were empty of all their burgers...... they said they expected them to come in at 10-1
  8. i had some for dinner and felt pony all night
  9. when pricing tyres i have found it very hard to beat Camskills prices but you do have to factor in fitting costs at your local.... my local does me good deals on fitting as i go there for all my cars and my bike so they see me fairly often
  10. search bouillion, belgium on google... N893 from bouillion to the N945 then follow the river through montherme sweeping along to Revin. turn north to Fumay and Haybes then east towards Hargnies... explore the area. the roads along the rivers are great but the whole area has some stunning scenery and roads.. look on the map for the twisty stuff and go explore. the roads around Vresse sur semois are fun
  11. once and only once (again in my youth... my stupid stupid youth) i tried riding my TL1000s (motorbike) while listening on headphones to a spot of Prodigy.... decided it was going to be a VERY quick way to kill myself........ never listened to music while on the bike ever again
  12. many many years ago (i was 19) i crashed into the back of a BMW 5 series because of the song i was listening to...... Metallica 'Sad but true'... was too busy head banging to notice he had stopped! lol
  13. short road trip as a starter experience is the Ardene region. driving in and out of belgium and france in between Bouillion and Givet there are some great roads! stay in Bouillion and have Moule frites and a bottle of Duvel by the river then drive through the road tunnel under the castle and you are straight onto some fantastic roads. only 3 hours drive from calais and well within the distance you want. stop in on Gent and Brugge on your way back (would recommend a night in Gent)
  14. years ago after being driven into while stationary at a roundabout i was told the very same thing when i came to renew... statistics! they can be made to say anything they want statistically the next person you see will have more than the average number of arms..... (think about it)

    Maxxis MA Z1 Tyres

Have a set on mine... They were fitted new to sell the car so were new when I bought it. Have done 10,000 miles on them with a trip to Germany and some spirited driving along the way and to be honest I have been generally impressed. They do tend to give a bit of under steer when pushed which can be corrected with a dab of oversteer (not recommended on the A31 with the wife in the car!!!) Dry grip is good in fact dry grip is great. Wet grip is sketchy..... They grip then just don't grip.. There is not a lot of feel as to when they are going to let go. I have not had a problem with that as the car is a weekend and weekend away toy so only really tends to get used much in the dry (not that we get much of that) The rears are nearing the wear indicators (still plenty of miles really I'm just picky when it comes to tyre limits) and I am pricing up a set of Michelin pilot sports even though the fronts don't need changing so make of that what you will.
  16. Could really miss you! I was heading the opposite direction as you passed leatherhead (junction 9) obviously on your way to the meet today. Head turning colour!
  17. thats one hell of a route....£700 to £800 in fuel alone.... Nice
  18. and be warned to look out for events that are happening around any dates you are looking at going... we were out in the Z in that area last year (Cochem and the Mozel valley) and decided to look in and see about going round the ring.... websites said it was open.... called up and they said it was open... drove up there and it was closed due to a rock festival they had there the weekend before... place looked like a bomb had gone off with rubbish and tents all over the place am driving the Z out to germany again this year but heading further south... Baden Baden and then through the black forest into Switzerland and Zurich things like fuel costs will depend on if you stick to motorways or go backroads, last year we went france belgium (the ardene area... great roads!) Luxembourg (cheap fuel!) then into germany and then north to the Mozel valley then back via Gent... i guess we did about 1000 miles which worked out at about £250 in fuel. the eurotunnel is about £100 return and is probably th best and easiest way to go.. been doing ferrys for years before and it seems to take forever compared. make sure your normal car policy covers you for europe and if you dont already have it get break down cover to cover the same. as for costs on the ring.... i guess they could range from 26 euro for 1 lap to 20,000 euro plus for 1 bad lap ending up in a barrier with a closed track! i have heard horror stories of bikers still laying on the floor and being given tickets for the damage their bike has caused! if your going to do a few laps dont try and be a hero... take it easy and enjoy it but factor in a tank of fuel and make sure you have a good set of brake pads and tyres in place before you start or you may end up having to factor in the cost of replacing them in germany (depending on how many laps you do!) i do plan to do it at some point although i hear they are making it harder and harder to do the tourist days???
  19. i believe you can close the roof manually but not open it... give me 5 mins and i will look apparently the owners manual and the service manual (both of which i dont have access to right now) include information for closing the top manually if there is a malfunction ok i have found it... looks long winded!!!!!! page 117 of 263 on this website http://www.cliffshade.com/350zr/350Z_guide-2004.pdf page 124 of 308 on this website http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.com/owners-manual/nissan/2009-Nissan-370Z-Roadster.pdf both look the same to me....
