  1. Just to let you know I decided to purchase some genuine LEDs off Alex instead, just didn't want to risk purchasing non-genuine ones and then end up not working. I thought it was best getting the OEM ones for peace of mind. I am more than happy to arrange the group buy for you guys if I get a definite 5-10 members interested. I will come back to you with a price for 5 and for 10 pairs. Let me know Hassan
  2. Hmm...I thought the 'knocking' is causing the exhaust popping? I'm sure normally exhausts shouldn't pop?
  3. I have a couple of brand new JWT pop chargers for sale, PM me if you're interested
  4. HAHA!!! That's what I was thinking of doing, I can't place a brand spanking new LED unit on a dirty surface now can I...? I think I have OCD...
  5. I always use Shell V-Power in my car, I have never used any other fuel. Yes, I've heard a few people mention their car runs rough when they use cheaper fuel. The previous owner did switch between cheaper fuel to V-power though... It is a good point though As it disappears when the A/C is triggered, could it be related to the car idling at a too low rev? What rev is it meant to idle at? The car runs perfectly smooth with the A/C switched on.
  6. I had to remove my rear lights just the other week to swap some bulbs around ... You'll need a small flat screwdriver to remove the plastic covers on the lights, then a 10mm socket to remove the 3 bolts for the lights. Once you've got those out, it's simply a case of pulling the light away from the car .. there are 2 clips which also hold the light to the car, but these shouldn't be any problem .. Perfect thanks! I've got all the tools with me ready to carry out the swap after work in the car park Will there be loads of dirty under the light clusters that's built up between the bodywork and the units? Thanks, Hassan
  7. The thing is, when you've got music on etc you don't really notice it. Sometimes it really irritates me and is VERY noticeable! When I switch the A/C on, it disappears!! The exhaust blows inconsistently, it directly related to the knocking sound. It's like the car is idling so lean, it's close to cutting off, hence the splutter. I really hope I can get to the bottom of this! It's weird only people from Leicester have noticed this Yes we definitely need to arrange something, it's nice to know there's more members from Leicester! CS is always down for a meet also!
  8. I forgot to ask...what tools will I require to carry out the light cluster swap from 03-06 to OEM LEDs? Thanks, Hassan
  9. Where did you get your rear spats from? I can't find them anywhere!! I'll try my best I'll let you know when I succeed!!
  10. I guess I'll have to get my car up on a jack and take the wheels off! I hate jacking cars up, I fear I may end up dropping it! The top screws look completely worn, are they meant to be like that? the bottom screws look fine though, they undo easily.
  11. It's been frustrating me ever since I got the car...I mentioned it on the forum a few times with no joy. It sounds as though you have the same issue. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of it!
  12. Haven't noticed the revs jump or the exhaust babble mate? Do you think its an 'East Midlands' thing Dayummm!!! Just realised you're in Leicestershire! Where abouts are you??? Listen carefully, you'll notice a knock and like a mis-fire type noise which you'll hear through the exhaust too
  13. I have the same issue...when it knocks it seems as though the revs are jumping too but theres no movement on the rev meter. I can hear the exhaust babbling to the 'knocking' noise too. Does that sound similar to your issue?
  14. They look very nice with the OEM splash guards, compliment each other really well! I can't remove the top screws for each guard, they are completely out of shape Unless I'm doing something wrong...? Also there is not enough space between the tyre and the splash guard to get a decent tool in to unscrew the screws that actually turn!
  15. Hi everyone, I planned on getting my underside side spats and splash guards sprayed in GM but it's now been delayed I'm unable to remove the securing screws, as the thread is completely worn! I really don't know how I'm going to get them off now and I was so excited in getting these done tomorrow! Any suggestions? An alternative is wrapping the guards and underside side spat in carbon fibre, but would that look odd? I bought the spats off Buster, his Ginger Ninja is attached below (I hope you don't mind me using your car image!): Now this is a side image of my Zed: What you guys think of having them wrapped in carbon fibre instead to match my B-pillars? Many thanks, Hassan
  16. Ah...so I'm guessing everyone was put off by the cable-tied bumper. Hopefully there's nothing wrong with it! It's weird how no one snapped it up earlier, the price is not bad at all for a Nismo kitted UK 350z GT!
  17. I just rang Sturgess Nissan, they have advised it's WV2 also. I will check under my bonnet and confirm it. I really appreciate your help guys Hopefully I'll have a few more additions to my Zed tomorrow
  18. Hi all, I'm getting my splash guards and spats sprayed tomorrow and wanted to know what my paint code is. I could not find it on the forum search Can anybody please advise? Many Thanks, Hassan Photos are as follows:
  19. Mods please lock as item is now sold. Thanks Hassan
  20. Ah...now I get it! Thanks Pete for clarifying this for me! I'm guessing the LED cluster will have the same white connector at the back of it
  21. I was confused because traditional vehicles normally have a wiring loom coming out of the boot that has a holder and a bulb at the end. This then twists into the light cluster. So I was thinking, if you removed the light cluster completely this would come away from the bulb holder, leaving the bulb and holder hanging. I'm guessing the 350z is different and I'm sure it's plug and play like everybody says
  22. Ah...that clarifies it for me. Thanks for explaining! I can't wait to receive them now! I'll be out there on the driveway applying the stickers as soon as I receive them I hope the orange one does suit my car!
  23. Sorry I completely missed your reply! That answers the question about the bulb holders Just out of curiousity, if a brake light bulb blew in my current unit, how would I replace them if they're sealed units? Thanks Pete
  24. Totally plug and play with no mod required. Thanks for your reply Alex, what do I do with the bulb holders (as they're not required in the LED units)?
