  1. Take a look at this Neil, did a quick Google image search on '350z oem cats': http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h ... 20&bih=979
  2. I checked the inside of the cats, they have filters in them that look identical to the HFCs that were provided by Daood. Do the standard cats have filters in them just like HFCs? Possibly the OEM ones may look like that without the heat shields?
  3. Yeah they are the ones!
  4. Are you sure you didn't hear the accident and stub your toe getting out of bed or twist your neck?? Maybe your still having flashbacks?? I'm sure you've still got a very strong case. Classic...
  5. The most likely answer. You could check the American forums as that's where the company is based Good point! I'll give that a try
  6. I believe you can get 3mm spacers from Halfords, I'm pretty certain that Colin has these on his 370Z, so you fit the 3mm spacers on first then add the 20mm hubcentrics. As far as the tyres go, I've kept the rolling radius within 1% so there would be no difference between the arch clearance on the 20" wheels that I have on with 35 profile tyres and 18" Rays with 45 profile. Pete Ah that makes sense! Good thinking Isn't fitting 2 sets of spacers on one hub a bit dangerous? Won't a lot of the stress transfer onto the 3mm spacer? How much is this 3mm Halfords spacer? Thanks, Hassan
  7. Have you got a proper side on shot with the wheels straight by any chance? Thanks! Hassan
  8. Do you think one of the HFCs is a revision of the other? But both are still manufactured to fit the DE engine?
  9. Do the sales people even make any money? I can't see people even going ahead with a claim so spontaneously!
  10. I get these calls all the time too. Funnily enough They always call MY number thinking they are speaking to my brother When I inform them I am not him I'm his brother, they then switch to desperate mode and ask if I know anyone that has been involved in an accident! I still don't get how they have got my number down with my brother's details where ever they got the info from... WHAT THE HELL!!???
  11. The regulations are something of a grey area here. As I read them, the tread of the tyre must not protrude from the widest part of the arch which on The Zed is at the top, so it's O.K to have the tyre wall sticking out. I'll take a photo of The Roadster which recently passed its MOT which illustrates how far you can go. These are obviously not standard Rays, but I've calculated the amount of protrusion is equivalent to having 27/28mm spacers on Rays. Oh yeah, standard suspension on this Zed. Here's what 25mms look like on the front once again not standard rays but will give you some idea of how much they fill the arches, bad news is that they rub on occasions. Pete They both look perfect in my opinion, however spacers come in increments of 5's right? That means I'll have to go for 25mm on the rear anyway... With regards to the fronts, 25mm looks very nice too but I don't want them to rub. Will the standard RAYS be least likely to rub in comparison to these wheels? But then, the standard tyres are massive!! Thanks a lot for taking the time out to post up pics! nope, many people have done that same setup. nope, many people have done that same setup. I reckon I will end up with the 20/25's as well if that is your experience and opinion with that set-up as a lot of others are suggesting that set-up too.
  12. It's weird how well they edit it and string it all together, like it's all been freestyled. They make it look so smooth and natural. There's a part where they are talking on the sofa and then Clarkson says 'right then on to the news'. If you look carefully in the background, one of the girls has a white top on and as soon as Clarkson says 'right then on to the news', magically she has a jacket on within a split second
  13. I'm actually quite restricted with regards to lowering the car, as I have to go up a slope to reverse onto my driveway. At the moment, the clearance between the bumper and the surface is a matter of 2mm's (I can't even fit my finger through). Even someone heavy sitting in the passenger seat can cause the car to scrape the ground. This is the reason I cannot lower the car otherwise that would have been the first modification I would have carried out. Would the car look odd with 25/20's on standard suspension and RAYS?
  14. I heard it's illegal to have the tires wider than the arches, is that correct? Would that be an MOT failure? Why don't anybody go for the 25/25 combo instead of 20/25? Is there a reason why you have to have the front spacers slimmer than the rears? Considering the wheels are wider at the back, wouldn't that just make the gap between the front and rear wheel depth larger?
  15. Hi all, I'm planning to purchase a set of spacers this week. I have been doing research into which size is the best. I have noticed many members have opted to go for the 20mm fronts and 25mm rear option. I was looking to go wider than that if possible... My car's suspension set-up is completely standard and she is sitting on standard 18 inch RAYS. I want to go for the largest size spacer without risking scraping the arches, looking odd and not affecting any other components/electrics/systems negatively. If you have any photos of your Zeds with standard suspension and RAYS, stating what size you've gone for, that would be great! I know there's already a thread on spacers, but I want this thread to be more specific to Zeds with standard suspension with the RAYS wheels. Many thanks for your help and advice Hassan
  16. If you fit 25mms on the front then it'll rub now and again, I would think 22 or 23 is the maximum with a standard suspension. Caroline has 20mm spacers on the rear of her Roadster but the offset of the wheels she has on means the equivalent of 28mm and they do stick out a bit (but no rubbing). Pete Thanks for your reply mate. My car is at standard height and will stay like this permanently on standard RAYS. (due to the nature of my driveway) I want the largest stance possible on both front and rear but with no rubbing at all. What's the largest size I can go without them looking odd or rubbing the arches? Thanks!!
  17. +1 No modification required. I am completely useless and I swapped my rear lights for the genuine LED ones
  18. Deffo off a non hr. If you dont want them il happily take them back. Thanks for the info bro Nah don't worry, I'm fitting the ones you sent onto my Zed. I was just curious why the second set look different I appreciate you offering to take them back though
  19. +1 My BMW used to click really slowly too, thought it was normal until my BMW specialist garage advised me my battery was on it's last legs and needed changing. When I replaced my battery, the clicking was much faster and started very quickly. It kind of sounded like the sound recording of the previous start-up was put on fast forward
  20. Oh...can someone else look at their HFCs and compare pls? Im really confused! Ill need confirmation from Dblock as to what his car is!
  21. Both triangles are the same shape... Also the set without the sensors were bought off Daood (Dblock) on this forum and his car is not a HR as far as I know. Both sets seem to have the bolt holes in the same, if not, similar position. Only large difference I've noticed is that large peice of metal that sticks out of the HFC, which looks like a support brace? Both have the same filter inside them, which confirms the unknown one is also a HFC.
  22. Hi all, I have 2 sets of HFCs and I believe they're both meant to be Kinetix HFCs. However when comparing them, I noticed a few differences. I know the ones without the lambda sensors attached are definitely Kinetix but I don't know about the other set. What's your thoughts? Your input would be greatly appreciated Images are attached. Many thanks, Hassan
