  1. I've got videos of it flying a few meters above our heads at an air show. The thing was ear piercingly loud! I will post up videos when I get the chance! My favourite aircraft by far! The noise it makes is intoxicating... We got an invite from Airbus in Bristol as my brother-in-law is in charge of manufacturing the plane wings and measuring stress tolerances etc All employee's family were invited to the last show nearly a year ago. They also showed us the A380 which did a take-off, landing and full throttle fly-by. That thing was unbelievably quiet!! I also got to touch the Concorde
  2. Received my 25/20 spacers today! Roll on Saturday! There's a CD in each box, I wonder what they're for...
  3. I'd be interested to know how much they cost direct compared to through the traders on here. Not much difference to be fair Trader's products are very competitively priced on this forum
  4. +1 definately a UK car Number plates being rectangular, headlight washer jets, rear wiper, rear towing square on bumper and bluetooth give it away. The seller also mentions it in the listing. Looks like a good car to be fair, I'd go check it out
  5. Hi mate , Have you checked the V5? Ask the seller to show you the documents and provide you with the document reference number at the front. You could then go to www.motinfo.gov.uk and check it's MOT history. If it's missing a large chunk of history, it will have been imported. They normally say 'Fairlady' on the rear. Get the number plate and give it to your insurance company, they will confirm it for you. There are other techincal ways of finding out if it's a JDM, this can be found in the 350z FAQ section in the Forum Index. Is the front number plate a square? Regards, HAssan
  6. +1 manual locking with key does not activate the alarm. Also, on my BMW if I pressed the lock button twice, this de-activated the motion sensors. I'm not sure if it's the same with 350z's? Someone may be able to confirm...
  7. Does the price reflect this? Also try ringing the Nissan dealership in question and try obtain some details between those dates, you never know they may have some... If the price reflects the missing history. I would purchase it and carry out a P3 (or P2) myself just for peace of mind seeing as it's done a large chunk of miles within the last year
  8. Yeah, thought about that, but as long as you torque them on properly then I don't see a problem with fitting 3mms plus 20mms as long as you don't fit the 3mm ones on top of the 20mm spacers. Anything bigger than 5mms could possibly cause more stress as you can't get enough turns on the wheel nuts and you need 9 turns (I think). Not sure of the exact price somewhere in the £10-15 range I would imagine. EDIT...£14.99 on Halfords Website Pete Thank you for looking into this for me...appreciate it! I've ordered a set of spacers, I'll be fitting them on this weekend. I will see how they look. If there is more room, I will add the Halfords spacers on
  9. Your car looks amazing! Great work! Yes I agree, Andy's work is VERY good! I've seen a few cars he has worked on now after going there nearly every week! He definitely does treat customer's cars like they're his own Hows your head now? Lump gone?
  10. Oh you live close, you should come say hello sometime That's true, you may learn a lot doing it yourself. I don't have the confidence The Nismo N1 spoilers weigh a tonne, I wouldn't trust the adhesive to keep the spoiler on the car when travelling at 100+ mph. Imagine it flew off, the damage it could cause to someone/something could be immense! I'm hearing that! It would be devastating, so if anyone else has any input on the matter please speak now or forever hold your peace.I have not received my spoiler yet and was under the impression it would be quite light! Plus 100mph=instant ban Will deffo meet up soon, just remember not to drive behind me how about japfest 2? 100+mph on a track...where were you thinking? I'll definately keep my distance, I and my Zed don't want to be written off just yet! When is Japfest 2?
  11. So I was half right for the first time in my life...I'll have to note this down in my 'diary'
  12. In my opinion the original RAYS colour is too 'flat', I would suggest getting them sprayed in a metallic silver (if you are planning to refurb them that is!) with more sparkle in it or a hyper silver. A pic of my refurb:
  13. No they didn't. All GT convertibles had buttons on both sides, but where the ones on the left on the coupe did the bluetooth controls, on the convertible they only did the radio as BT wasn't available as an option. If it doesn't have buttons on both sides of the wheel then it's not a GT car UNLESS the wheel has been replaced at some point, although why you'd do that is a different kettle of fish. Oops my bad When I was searching for 350z's, all the 'GT' convertibles I looked at only had one set of buttons on the steering wheel also so I thought that was the way they were meant to be. Luckily I didn't buy one then!
  14. All convertibles came with buttons only on one side of the steering wheel unlike the GT coupe's, which had buttons on both sides.
  15. That was my number 1 colour choice. Couldn't be asked waiting around for one to pop up so I bought mine as it was a good deal (I like to think ).
  16. If someone organises a group buy, I may be interested in purchasing one with you
  17. Oh you live close, you should come say hello sometime That's true, you may learn a lot doing it yourself. I don't have the confidence You are aware that you need to drill 2 extra holes in the boot lid aren't you mate? Be very careful taking the old one off too - it can be a bugger to remove and many have ended up with scratching - ChrisS has taken his off previously himself and can prob offer some good advice. Try these guys for the paint http://www.paints4u.com/paintdoctor.aspx Yes I was aware of the extra holes needed, but I thought some people were not bothering with the extra holes and using extra adhesive, incase they ever wanted to put it back to stock. The Nismo N1 spoilers weigh a tonne, I wouldn't trust the adhesive to keep the spoiler on the car when travelling at 100+ mph. Imagine it flew off, the damage it could cause to someone/something could be immense!
  18. Hi mate, it may just be easier to get it sprayed and fitted at CS. There's a few members on here who have got their cars done and been very happy with the work. It'll save you the hassle...
  19. Looks like a good buy...I would go take a look before it gets snapped up....
  20. This investigation is a success I guess...we have now identified exhibit A
  21. That's not good! There was me all happy thinking I had 2 sets of HFCs. I was going to give a pair to a friend of mine who also has a 350z, I guess not! Thanks for finding out for me, appreciate it!
  22. Oh...if you were going on Saturday, I would have bumped into you again That place is seriously becoming my second home on Saturdays!
