Best bet, I would pay a tenner and get a proper HPI check carried out on the car. If it comes out clear, you can advertise the car with the HPI certificate, which will potentially bring more interest This will save the potential buyer a few pounds - Very good selling point in my opinion (if it comes out clear that is which in my opinion it most likely will!)

Why isn't it good to purchase used HFCs?

Thanks guys for all your compliments. This is my first ever proper detailing attempt, I'm glad you are impressed I hate driving my car after a major clean, it's like taking hours building a perfect sandcastle then kicking it down right after completion! That's the one big demotivating factor of detailing a car - Not staying in that state for longer than 2 days!

Oh...so there's no point of me glazing it next weekend then? I glazed it 3 weeks ago. I thought I'd layer another coat of glaze and wax on top but if it won't make a difference, there's no point in doing it. What sealant do you use? I don't use sealant. I just glaze it then wax it. Am I missing out a crucial step? Oh I had the impression the HD wax lasts ages, which wax do you recommend then? I would love to see the paintwork on your car, sounds like you've maintained it really well! I would say not - you would be better off layering the wax up IMO as that is the protective layer. If you read the gumph on the back of the glaze, it is about filling and removing swirls and surface imperfections. The wax then 'seals' it in. So using it on top of the wax isn't really going to help - if anything it will cut back through the wax. Sealant is a step some take between the final polish and waxing. It is just a 'hard' coat, often chemical to protect the polished surface. I like using them. As for waxes, there are hard and soft waxes - and they are exactly that. Something like a Collinite wax is hard, when you put your finger on it it is hard to the touch and it takes some elbow grease to work it. Soft wax will crumble / 'melt' when you touch it. In fact, some you could even apply with your hands. Hard wax lasts longer than soft wax - simples. For me, P21S or R222 wax is soft and maybe lasts a week or so before the real gleam starts to fade. But it gleams nicer than the hard waxes I have tried. This is why I use a sealant so that when the soft wax deteriorates, I am left with and easy to clean, protected, still shiny surface to wash and then put the soft wax back on. Hope that makes sense!! Ah that makes sense! (Sorry I just realised you replied! ) I guess I'll have to revise my choice of wax and purchase some sealant! Would you class supernatural as a hard or soft wax? How often do you think I should wax my car? I've carried out 2 coats of Poorboys glaze and HD wax over a 2 month period (the first attempt I layered 2 coats of wax and glaze each, so you could class that as 3 coats of each in total), when should I next wax my car? About the glaze, yes you are correct about the 'filling and removing imperfections' so I'm just wasting it by layering it on top of the wax... I just had some Nismo rear spats and fromt OEM splash guards fitted which were painted last Thursday. Is it safe for me to give the car a wash on Saturday or is it too soon and could damage the fresh paint? Many thanks for your help in understanding everything Hassan

I hope it's not that bad and it gets sorted quickly and as cheaply as possible... Unfortunately I have no idea on a price but you could try ?

Thanks!! Glad to know people like it! Thanks bruv! Is your car at CS? Bet you can't wait to have it back!! Tell me about it, I think I'm becoming addicted to modding my car, I need to restrain myself now! All the main stuff I wanted to do are done now Quite dirty......are you having a laugh......your Zed looks amazing!!! It's got a layer of dust all over it due to dirty rain and the wheels are caked in brake dust! Oh no...is it my Zed OCD kicking in? Thanks for the compliment matey! -
That is VERY nice...I envy you There is one exactly the same as yours (colour and the 370z graphics down the side) not far from my house. I cannot stop staring when I drive past!

Trader disappreciation thread (Trader Complaints)
HassanZ replied to rtbiscuit's topic in The Trading Post
Correct on all accounts. So Anders, does the supplier mentioned still sell those exact skirts? Were they a bad example out of a generally good fit? Should we still avoid them if they have changed their supplier in the past 2 years because one person had a bad experience? Was the customer in the wrong for getting them painted before test fitting? +1 You've hit the nail on the head This will become a thread involved with too much politics. It will come to a point where the thread will have so many mixed opinions that people will not have the confidence of using the posts on here to make an accurate decision on a purchase etc. Why should there be a thread on here for members with negative feedback? I'm sure all traders on this forum is meant to hit specific requirements set out by the mods? What this thread will end up suggesting is that mods and admins on this forum are allowing both good and bad traders to trade on this forum, when they obviously aren't (only allowing traders who they have confidence in). In my opinion all traders on this forum must be 100% or they will not have the honour of trading on here. -
Trader disappreciation thread (Trader Complaints)
HassanZ replied to rtbiscuit's topic in The Trading Post
I don't agree with this thread at all...it should be closed in my opinion It's the same principle with eBay and how they've stopped the ability to give buyers negative feedback. It's the opposite way round in this case but I just don't agree with it due to the hassle involved and some people being VERY difficult to please. (this is not pointed in any direction whatsoever, this is just my general opinion) If you have an issue with a trader, take it up with them via PM. If nothing is resolved then I'm sure mods could help? If a trader is that bad, I'm sure they will lose the right to trade on here? -
whoops! Thank you!

I should hope so.......unless your engine runs cold enough to generate condensation Thanks mate, that answers my question
-
Phew! Nothing to worry about then! Thanks guys you all just put my mind at rest, I really appreciate it I was getting really worried and one quick post just solved my mystery I used to have a BMW 330ci M sport with aircon, never noticed it on that. But then I hardly used to use it as I didn't have the reason to. In the Zed I use it to smooth out the idle I'm guessing this condensation occurs only when you use the a/c?

Is that normal!?? Does it need to be rectified? Am I losing gas?

Hi all, Everyday when I look out of my window, I would notice a wet patch under my car near the front left (passenger side) wheel. I always thought it's probably rain water which hasn't dried in that area. Today it didn't rain at all so now it has began to worry me! I've seen this nearly everyday but it's just striked me that is not normal.... I've attached a photo for you to look at, the photo is very blurry as I've taken it through my front room window: Many thanks, Hassan

Hi all, I had my Kinetix HFCs (thanks to Dblock/Daood for selling me his ), Eibach 20mm fronts and 25mm rears, OEM Y-pipe (thanks to Alex for supplying the gasket kit and Y-pipe ), OEM colour coded splash guards and Nismo rear spats fitted yesterday at CS (thanks to Andy and Mitz ). I am really impressed with the colour match and finish of the bits fitted! The car now sounds awesome with the HFCs fitted. Someone went out their way to stop me in their car at the traffic lights yesterday to tell me how nice the car sounded, I was well chuffed!! The car sits just right now with the spacers fitted, it's the way the car should have been originally! All-in-all what a productive day! Enjoy the photos! (the car is quiet dirty unfortunately and yes I am a pic whore haha!!)

Hi all, I have decided to start this thread for any member on this forum who wants to show their appreciation for the exceptional and friendly service they have received from both Andy and Mitz. They definately deserve this recognition after myself receiving invaluable help and advice from them on various aspects relating to my Zed. A lot of work has been undertaken on my Zed, all of which was of a very high standard. Also, I've purchased a few bits from CS which I received immediately. There were a few issues with my Zed when I first purchased it, these issues were rectified immediately at minimal cost due to the depth of knowledge they both posses. They've undertaken a few modifications on my Zed also, which I'm very pleased with! I would definitely recommend others to use CS also, there are many other members who would agree with me. Keep up the great work guys! You're a credit to this forum. Regards, Hassan

Yes that's correct, only one airworthy Vulcan left. This is being funded by a charitable organisation to keep it flying, as it is costing a significant amount of money to keep it going. A few famous people have invested a lot of money into it's restoration, as far as I remember one famous person put in the majority of the money. I only remember these details vaguely but I remember the amounted quoted being very large. The guy who was presenting it did mention it's days are numbered, not long until we'll hear the last one being withdrawn too...

+1 I'm in the same boat...
