  5. I was given a brand new Toyosport exhaust system in a box with my car when I bought it. I wasn't sure how it would be but I bit the bullet and got it fitted by some mates at Santa Pod. Yes there was a fitment issue which was overcome within half hour. The exhaust looks and sounds great paired with my Kinetix HFCs. Even without the HFCs, the system sounded similar to OEM with a slightly more aggressive sound. I am more than happy with my decision. There are a few members on here who have seen and heard it in person. I've not heard any negative comments so far. The build quality of the exhaust itself is identical to other 'higher quality/expensive' exhausts. To be honest people shouldn't make judgements or provide an opinion and scare other members off from buying it, if they personally haven't seen it. It would be better to forward the potential purchaser to someone who's actually had experience with a specific product (in this case the Toyosport) for a more accurate opinion don't you think? PS - Matt paid me a visit over the weekend and went for a spin with me in my Zed. He will now have a clearer opinion on these exhausts.
  6. Well, I have used 3... and there are 5 left. So if I use two for the headlights, I could try to sell the other three for £3 including delivery, with photo's that prove they work. BUT... as you quite rightly say, I have no idea how long they will last, so I will just keep em in the car in case they blow next week... Including the ORIGINAL bulbs in case they die too I'm quite surprised you recieved them that soon, thought I would have been a pensioner by the time they arrived Yeah I'd rather keep them as a back-up, earning £3 is more hassle than it's worth. To be fair, I reckon they will last ages (probably same life span as mine!). They are LEDs at the end of the day Talk about contingency planning! The current set plus 2 back-up sets is a bit too well prepared isn't it?
  7. true that. I was wondering, just for the sake of argument, could you actually fall asleep in the course and still claim to have attended? could i bring a pillow with me? Unfortunately you need to 'participate' in the session. They can penalise you for not fully participating! I know someone who had to go on one of these and he didn't know English. They gave him 2 options...well 3: 1 - Take a friend who knows English and can interpret for you 2 - They can supply one of their own interpreters 3 - Take the points Apparently it's really interesting though!
  8. Mate, look on the bright side...you rather do that than have points on your license... PS - Good luck and don't forget your pencil case!
  9. Fair play to you mate, I'm glad to know it all worked out! So the risk taking was all worth it then! Having entrepreneurial characteristics can be very beneficial at times So I guess you're going to end up using all of the bulbs rather than sell some off and make all/most of your money back! That's what an entrepreneur is meant to do!!! They do look very nice though you got yourself a bargain! The golden question looms...how long will it last? Only time will tell...
  10. Autosol Chrome Polish works wonders...
  11. Squee, if you haven't noticed yet, there's a lot of members on here that will use any excuse to pic whore their car. Here's a Nismo exhaust taken from google images: Oh yeah, why didn't I Google it? Maybe I am a pic whore and just forgot to do that!
  12. sorry to crash this thread and apologies for a stupid 'newbie' question but how can you tell if the exhaust is a Nismo one? Someone asked me if I have them on my Zed and I looked pretty thick when I said I didn't know! Only had him a fortnight so it's still all new to me. Thanks S. No need to apologise mate, everyone has been in the same boat as you at some point during their lives! Nismo's exhaust are worth quite a bit of money, not cheap at all. They have 'NISMO' engraved into the tailpipe/s, it's in large writing so you can't miss it. The tailpipe size is not much different to standard exhaust tailpipes. They're more or less the same size as these tailpipes (Toyosport exhaust on my car):
  13. To listen to the sound of the exhaust from the outside as you will never hear the true sound when you're inside driving it. It's like all those You tube videos you get where people demonstrate how their exhaust sounds. I was just curious if the engine or any other components can go pop.
  14. The 4th pic shows the RAYS on the car And yes the exhaust tips do look too big to be NISMO
  15. I would recommend you fit a pair of rear Nismo spats with front OEM splash guards. In my opinion they compliment each other quite well...
  16. Have you got Bluetooth? Mine beeps when the bluetooth handsfree connects to my phone with a brief message on the Bose stereo screen saying 'PHONE'.
  17. Thanks for your reply mate When would you start causing harm, when you keep it at around 6k for a prolonged period? What about revving it past the red line but not holding it there? I've always thought it was bad due to the lack of airflow. Also heard it's hard on the gearbox/clutch? On the other hand I've heard it's good to rev it up whilst idling to blow out the carbon particles etc clogging the system when it's not been thrashed for a while.
  18. Hi all, I see many people revving their Zeds whilst in neutral and idling (up to the red line). Is this bad for the car in any way? I've always wondered and never had the guts to do it myself... Many thanks, Hassan
  19. If the light comes back on, that means the air bag wire under the passenger seat has been moved out of place. Get some zip ties and tie the wires down to ensure they're secure.
  20. Feel free to take my place if you want...
  21. ........did I forget to mention I want £500 of Nismo bits in exchange OI OI! wait in line, It's my turn to pull down his pants first!
  22. OI OI no naughty business yeah
  23. Hi mate, I have an OEM exhaust back box and mid-section for sale. It was taken off the car at 43k miles, the car is currently at 45k. I'm based in Leicester so around the corner from you PM me if you're interested Regards, Hassan
  24. Do you think they have been thrashed?
  25. That's a good idea mate, well done! I would have done that if I knew earlier! I used a a thin drill bit and just awkwardly drilled a thin screw straight through. I only did one as the second screw was virtually impossible to do with a electric drill! To be fair the heat shield was secure enough without any screws being fixed through the duct and heat shield on that side.
