  1. Oh thats sits nicely!! This isn't helping with my 'I'm not going to mod it' plan
  2. You pay £x p'm (depending on the deal) then get access to a handful of cars and tracks for 'free'. But then any additional content you must pay for. I am currently still using all the free content whilst I practice and ATM racing in the Mazda Cup. Graphics wise - I would say Project Cars and Assetto Corsa are FAR superior. Mainly as they are far newer build engines. But in terms of the feel of the car, force feedback, physics, etc etc, iRacing is top of the list. Plus, once you really get into a race the graphics aren't that important as you concentrating on the track etc.
  3. This looks to be a great project, subbed!! Look forward to the next update
  4. Also, if it helps, memberships are 50% off ATM http://www.iracing.com/membership/
  5. Yeah had the G27 many moons ago for GT5 on the PS3, that was a great system. The new Thrustmaster is very good at the moment but I do keep looking at the new Fanatec setup, just can't afford it
  6. Yeah I'm really enjoying the shifter, mostly run it in sequential mode ATM (mainly as its current mounting makes a fair bit of noise in H gate). I have the T500RS pedal set and fitted a DIY version of the Basher Brake mod to help give some feeling to it. Are you on PC also Dan, or console?
  7. Oh indeed!! One of my first purchased mate I also picked up the TH8A shifter which also really adds to the immersion. Next up is a console to lower the shifter and add a button box. Also had a quick shuffle around of the monitors this week, lowered them a bit more behind the wheel. Gives a better view I think
  8. i used to have an Xbox one Eill but got lured in by triple screens!! You should give iRacing a try if you get time, it really is the next level up from the other games. If you do decide to join let me know - I think you sign up and give my details we both get a perk? Maybe. Ah dude tell me about it!! The cables are driving my OCD crazy! Going to get a cable box and some trunking to route it all through.
  9. It sold over the weekend mate, but was only a non turbo anyway. Both would make great track toys though
  10. The other half was kind enough to grant me a man-cave in our new house, so I got a little carried away building a racing rig. This is for PC gaming so have Project Cars, Assetto Corsa and iRacing at the moment. Mostly Thrustmaster Hardware ATM, along with a Recaro fishnet bucket seat and a custom built frame. Just wondered if anyone else on here spends their evenings sim racing? Be good to know a few more folks out there to join races with. This was the rig a while ago, have a little more equipment now and upgraded some parts. Currently designing a centre console for the shifter and button box from DSD.
  11. So, 6 days into my ownership I figured it was time to make a start and get the first mod ordered. I think this will make a satisfying difference to the interior, plus add at least 30bhp? Hopefully this will arrive soon so I can start fettling. Just need to work out a plan for what else I plan on doing to her. Oh, and also need to give her a name but struggling so far. All my other cars had names.
  12. Not that I'm going to be modding it but do you have any 370 items in the sale

    New Wheels

Damn that's nice!!! What rear spoiler do you have matey?
  14. Cheers Graham Still loving the new car, just planning what mods to do first
  15. Damn! They are all so good!! I think the 250 GT and Saleen were pretty special
  16. Perhaps he thinks your driving is hazardous? Think he just knows how to push my buttons..... I see what you did there
  17. Thanks all Haven't been able to drive her much over the weekend as had things going on, but I did manage to sell the MR2 today- which is good! Niki- yep, the exhaust is a wonderful piece of kit I'm sure you'll agree! A little loud on cold start, but that soon settles down. Nice things I've noticed from the drive home on Friday - rev match on downshift is still awesome, and grin everytime!! - needle sweep on start up is a nice touch - triple blink on the indicator, only a small feature but great when cruising on motorway - the volume on the stereo doesn't have numbers. This might not seem a big deal for most, but my OCD finds this wonderful as I have to set things to even numbers( where present). So not having to worry about that is a welcome change will be good when the misses is in the car as she likes putting the volume at 9 etc, just to wind me up. Have a work trip tomorrow which will allow me 4 hours or so get to know the car a little more might take the scenic route home!
  18. Good projects mate i'll be following your table/hardtop roof idea, that should be cool. I made a coffee table from a 350 block last year, still looks great today.
  19. Funny you should say that, I believe these are the cowboys that fitted it
  20. Evening Folks. Been a while since I was last posting on here (especially in this section of the forum) - I sold my 350z at the end of last summer to help fund the purchase of our first house. In the meantime I got myself a '95 MR2 as a daily (which is now for sale). We bought the house earlier this year, so with that business taken care of it was time to start car shopping again!! I had many cars on the list, but after driving them all I came back to Z's. After originally looking for an 07/08 HR 350z, the opportunity came to purchase a 370z for a great price! So here we are My old 350Z, just because I like looking at it. First up - big thanks to Nick (Suits) for being a top bloke. Taxi'ing us to & from the station when viewing the car, answering my many questions and for taking good car of this awesome car. The car was originally owned by Nissan Motorline (HPI shows a reg plate of N10SSN which is neat). I am now the proud owner of a 59 plate LeMans Blue 370Z GT Spec with all the usual trimmings. Car has full service history with only 35k miles on the clock. I have only had a limited drive so far in the dark but it is fantastic - really responsive, great feel through the wheel and the rev match won't get old ANY time soon!! Also, I just can't get enough of this colour!! Car currently has 2 mods fitted, which are both quality items and put me in good sted for a potential remap in the future. Stillen Gen 3 Intakes Ark Grip Exhaust - which is awesome!! It's dark out, so I have shamelessly taken a couple of pictures from Suits' project thread - just so I can get things started This will be a pretty slow going project thread but somewhere I can document my progress with the car. At the moment I am not planning on doing too many mods to this one, and just want to enjoy it. But initial thoughts mods are 25mm spacers all round Lower - maybe 20-30mm Tint windows GTR starter button Rear diffuser Refurb alloys
  21. Thanks guys and he hasn't got a zed anymore he might have a caravan now though Yep, I only bought it so there was at least one caravan out there that won't overtake me
  22. Took the new 7D out around Weymouth today, was pretty grey and cloudy most of the day but the squirrels were fun up near Nothe Gardens.
  23. On top of each piston there is a penny sized clear silicone disk, the glass just grips to it and weight stops it moving.....for now atleast. I used a small strip on LEDs each side that I had in the garage from an old car project. They are supposed to be 12V power but I have hooked them up to a 9V battery which is hidden behind the custom plate. Plenty bright enough even with 3V less
  24. Thanks guys, Im super pleased with it! As requested, some dark pics of the table. 2 from the test build in the garage showing the glow and switch illumination, the third from the current install in the living room.
