You might have tyres by then huh

Thanks dude. Got lucky with the drifting shots as I had Press Access for myself and the other half. Which enabled us to get in front of the wire fences between the public viewing area and the track. We were stood behind the crash barriers on the inside corner which was awesome! Know what you mean on the 50mm, when I first got mine it didn't come off the camera for months!

Tough call. I would say at this point it is the current 370. But prior to this it is either my MK1 MR2 - it was a little go kart and handles great! Or my MK2 MR2 turbo, only running 309bhp but unbelievable acceleration and handling. Other cars in my list - TT BPU Supra was fun whilst it lasted, turbo IS200 was a giggle, 350z was lovely, other MR2's. But for me the 2 MR2's below will always be missed.

Great pics Matt. How you getting on with the 50mm? Here are the best from our day. In usual style - take 100's of photos then whittle them down to a handful of acceptable ones. Cheers.

Great day at the new venue yesterday, queues weren't too bad at on the way in / out which was a nice surprise compared to Coombe. Our stand was on the other side of the bridge, but had a great day wandering around the place. Came past the Z stand a few times but not many folks about so just had a nose at the cars and took some pics. Of a single model maybe. But the Evolution stand by the bridge had over 200 Evo's Yeah we drove past this not long after it happened. Was definitely slippy. My words to my passenger were 'Oh, best look out for these two people walking on the side of the road......oh, theres loads of mud on the road in the lane best avoid that.......oh sh!t theres a Supra'. Poor chap. Also the GT86 which had his front end stoved in whilst queuing to get onto the slip road. Not sure if he just wasn't paying attention, or was was in the outside lane trying to beat the queue and then cut in last minute..... People who purposely cruise up the outside lane then force in last minute are half the reason for the queue in the first place.......*cough* Adrian *cough*

Good to see you guys today, all be it briefly Was a good day with heaps of nice cars to have a nose around! Quick snap of mine as it is still nice and clean (won't last!). Some lovely Zeds on show, I may have been the only LeMans blue - unless I missed one, which is more than likely given the size of the show! -

The car went in for it's P2 service this week at Nissan. Had all the usual items done, along with brake fuild (as it was black), and clutch fluid as the mechanic thought this had never been done!! Came out with a good feedback from the mechanic. Just need to replace the brake pads all round (already ordered), and the rear tyres are low to the limit - pretty standard if you ask me Fronts are also a tad perished so will be ordering up Falken 453's all round, or maybe Goodyears. This may well bring the wheel refurb forward a few months too as I don't see the point is paying someone to fit 4 new tyres now. To then get them taken off by the refurb place a few months later. I have done the man maths on this and I am effectively saving myself £40 on the refurb (assuming the garage charge £10 per wheel to swap a tyre over). Man maths FTW! Just need to decide on the final colour once the refurb guys do some test wheels for me. So, the car is ready for Japfest! The better half kindly booked the car in for a detail yesterday as a birthday present The guy does some great work (will try and get some of his pictures and post them up later). The car has literally never been so clean since I have owned it!! The colour is amazing when the sun hits it. I gave the interior a good clean today, wiped over the engine bay, and gave the ARK a good polish. So happy with the car at the moment As predicted with a detail session booked - it rained.....ALL day! Emergency Gazebo the rescue! BEFORE AFTER Also, now with the car being so low it was a faff to clean the exhaust. So made my own mini ramps with some wood I had knocking about. Much less hassle than having to jack the car up etc etc. Just high enough to get under and reach the ARK. I started researching audio options recently in an attempt to find a neat way of getting audio from my phone into the aux input. The solution since I bought the car was a simple 3.5mm ->3.5mm cable plugging my phone into the car. This was great but my phone had to live in the centre storage area which meant changing tracks was a PITA. I found this neat ANKER bluetooth -> 3.5mm jack unit with its own USB power plug. So I am charging it via the 12v power socket in the centre storage area, then pluggin the 3.5mm jack right next to it. I mounted the bluetooth unit above the heater controls (might move it but will see how I get on). The phone can now live up on the windscreen but I dont have to interact with it while driving. The Bluetooth unit connects on one press and allows me to use SIRI (never do really), but more importantly can skip tracks easier. Sound quality is pretty decent, and for £10 it's more than enough Look forward to seeing some other Zeds tomorrow at Silverstone -
Thats really impressive when combined together in post. I keep following the VR stuff as I am toying with it on my rig but will wait until the full augmented reality if closer. Mainly as when using the Rift I cannot see the physical wheel I am holding, or cannot see the button box etc. Looks awesome in the video link as you will be able to see the physical items in front of the game. Either way, awesome video

Good call on Tyre Leader. Just saved myself £0.04 compared to Openeo However Camskill refuse to price match on these tyres! Ah well.
-
I've used Camskill over the years and not had any issues. Frustrating though making you wait this much longer for tyres. Thanks for the heads up on this as I am needing a full set of tyres in the coming month. Just built a quick basket on Openeo and they are £39 cheaper than Camskill! Happy bunny

Just back from getting the alignment done after installing the springs. A few owners on here fit springs without camber arms, so I went with that to see how it came out. The camber is maxed out at 2 rear and 1.5 fronts, with all other adjustments correctly setup. They are all in tolerance, just barely, so will run like this for now and if needed in the future will reduce some of the camber with arms. But it drives nicely ATM so not toooo bothered, as long as I don't chew through too many tyres. Had an amusing conversation with the guy once he had completed the alignment - Guy - 'Have you lowered this?' Me - 'Yes, had springs fitted earlier this week' Guy - 'Yeah, you've broken it....' He didn't like the lack of adjustment on the rear hehe. -
Goodness me thats nice!!! I am very jelous. I have owned 4 MR2's over the years, I miss my MK1 and MK2 Turbo the most. As you say, they accelerate like nothing else with basic tuning, and are wonderful to drive. I hope to have another one in the future

Thanks mate Yeah i read somewhere about the wind deflectors infront of the wheels catching on things, might shave them down a little to reduce the scraping. Smoothing the high spots off the splitter is a good shout too. Nope, I'm on stock cats and Ark CBE. On a run there is no drove, it is generally a good volume. I find it loud on cold start up I think due to the pre-cat warm up or whatever. Also loud when you give it a boot full. I'm trying to get some videos sorted at some point so will drop you a link when I get around to it -
