    LMGT4 Refurb

Just taken mine in Rota bronze with a diamond turned lip Stripped, blasted, heated and primed, baked, top coated and baked, Diamond turned Lacquered and baked again. All but the initial strip is done in house. Reasonable too @ £65.00 each Get them back on Saturday.
  2. No, not stopping but I would have to get more bits in from abroad and may have to change the price etc as recently everything I have bought from USA and China has had VAT applied. ( Even by the Post Office) I would also have to see how many bits to buy as the shipping costs make it impractical to get less than 25 sets of bits. Once these are gone I will probably run an interest thread again to take orders before committing to it.
  3. try this for blue http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f00eeea81 or this for white http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4603b19db7 Just post me one for the linky
  4. Finally got a paypal refund after sending back the item. Still down return postage though. Also got a questionnaire from the original courier asking for details of packing etc. to support a damage in transit claim !! Wonder what to do with it ??
  5. Try a 5 or 8mm T1 in that case. (measure the width) Still looks more like a bulb than an LED. what colour do you need and what colour is it in the first place.
  6. Looks like an incandescent from the indicator light on the instrument cluster.
  7. Yes but if the gauge went into the red when it got hot then the temp sender will be working.
  8. So is the question for Julie " did the temperature gauge go up in the car when it overheated." If it didn't is that why the fans didn't come on, and hence the reason they work on the auto test. If this is the case then check the sender unit, (albeit not a traditional sender but the temperature thermocouple attached to the gauge) If the temp gauge did go up then over to someone else
  9. Alex, As I am always looking to improve my understanding of the zed, where does the ecu get its temp from? A thermocouple somewhere presumably. Is this the same place as the temp gauge gets its temp from ? If so would the temp gauge not show as high and the fans not come on if the thermocouple (sender) was not working even though the engine is getting hot? Martin
  10. I took a spare set of clocks apart recently and there was black tape over the engine check light. Drastic but fixes the light problem
  11. I would check the temp sender unit is working before anything else..
  12. OEM needles are red plastic as well as the paint on the bottom dont think there is much that can be done with them TBH.
  13. Flyboy you should't prejudge on outward appearance alone Pretty easy to judge on your comments though They obviously were not in jest or you wouldn't have got so defensive... As for the OP I'm pretty sure if it's a council one you will get chased if you just ignore, silucm up the £35 and get back to worrying about more important stuff Silucm WTF?
  14. Dave, The ford probe ones I got dont fit but they may be made to, by closing down the central hole. I have filled the hole with super glue and will re drill out smaller. Ill let you know how it goes. I also have some from Bob at custom gauges which also need a bit of a mod to fit. The only blue ones I know of come on the golf I pmd you about but again dont know if they will fit.
  15. Just got carded by the post office. Cant deliver my gauge faces as there is customs duty to pay plus £8 handling fee. Trip to the sorting office tomorrow.
  16. I've been a student, I've been broke, I have even parked and popped to the shops on occasion. I have had 1 or 2 parking ticket's in 35 years of driving and parking, and driving and parking etc. etc. You are definitely doing something wrong! P.S If you have a Zed its not that hard being a student is it, I had a 1200 Super, Ford Anglia, for most of my student days.
  17. Brilliant, nothing like lying through your teeth to make a point, eh? Cretinous action, I hoe you get caught one day. Not only that, how many times do you park illegally, if you have lost count of the times you have committed fraud??
  18. Well done mate Lots of little t's Congrats.
  19. Hi Thomas, I have a prototype of a boofsquire type hatch rack on trial at the moment. This should be going into production in the next 4-6 weeks. Price is unknown at the moment it depends on the quantity of the first batch I make. It will work out cheaper then the original plus shipping and taxes though. I will keep you updated of progress.
  20. The first ones had a tow along jet pack shaped like a small surf board didnt need a jet bike. This looks better if you alreadyhave a jet bike.
